Um livro que comprei por dois motivos: custava 1€ e tinha a Angelina. Nem sabia muito bem sobre o que era, mas fiquei com ele. :D

Este livro é uma biografia da famosa atriz. Não me trouxe quase nada de novo, pois a vida da Angelina é praticamente um livro aberto para quem tem interesse nela. Eu tive uma pancada pela Angelina, adorei os filmes da Lara Croft e sempre a admirei pelo seu trabalho humanitário e foi sobre este lado dela que eu mais gostei de ler no livro. Também gostei muito da relação estabelecida com o primeiro filho que adotou, Maddox. A parte do relacionamento com o Brad foi aquela novela que toda a gente conheceu, com a equipa Jennifer e a equipa Angelina, e que, como todos sabemos, não terminou de forma muito amistosa. Mas essa parte já não é abordada no livro que só vai até ao nascimento dos filhos gémeos.

Foi uma boa leitura, mas, como disse acima, não me trouxe nada de novo.

Wanted to read this to have some insight on angelina jolie's life and personality. This book provided some of that but it also made me cringe multiple times for several reasons, almost stopped reading a few times but somehow managed to endure it till the end.

First, the cover is totally girly girl, with the gloss and the pink, the author herself mentions multiple times that that is not angelina jolie at all, why would they use such a cover that doesn't reflect the personality they are writing about?! Sales only.

Then it's written more as a collection of tabloid articles then actual biographic reporting, the writing style is annoying (unless you like gossip articles i guess), it constantly jumbles the timelines of the topics at hand, jumping back and forth, then going over the same period of time, but refocused on another part of angelina's life, yet repeating the same things and with often contradictory mentions to what was previously written about them.

It quotes someone every other sentence, often with a subjective and sensationalist conjecture of unknown facts. Overall it's a bad read and a clear fashion journalism editorial cash cow.

I don't give it 1 star because it did bring to light some interesting facts about Angelina Jolie. Which will be taken with a large grain of salt until Angelina Jolie's auto-biography eventually comes out. Apart from that i was totally disapointed with the writing and cannot understand why people rate it any higher.

Nisam baš neka ljubiteljica Angeline Jolie, a ova me biografija još više odbila od gledanja ove glumice u pozitivnom svjetlu. Iako se prema načinu pisanja primjećuje da joj je autorica sklona, citati navedeni u knjizi koje je Jolie davala u intervjuima otkrivaju stranu nje s kojom ne samo da se ne bih mogla poistovjetiti nego bi ih stavila i u koš degutantnosti. Primjerice kada je govorila o odabiru posvojene djece prema boji kože ili o tome da više voli posvojenu djecu od svoje biološke (ne smatram da bi trebalo biti obrnuto ali to su uobičajena intimna previranja s kojima se bori svaki roditelj neovisno o tome je li posvojio djecu i kako se radi o unutarnjim previranjima, izgovaranje toga na glas samo šteti svima). Isto tako njezin humanitarni angažman po kojem je poznata, je ''šupalj''. Mediji koji su dobili ekskluzivna prava na objavu prvih fotografija njezine djece morali su uplatiti ponuđenu svotu za fotografije u dobrotvorne svrhe, a taj je iznos, može biti, jednak iznosu koje te tvrtke ionako godišnje uplaćuju u dobrotvorne svrhe radi poreznih olakšica, pa moguće da ispada da su te fotografije dobili i besplatno. Isto tako mi s ogadio i podatak da je novinarima bio zabranjen ulazak u Nambiju samo zato što su ondje boravili Jolie i Pitt - toliko o humanitarnom radu, a ''potkupljuješ'' cijeli državni aparat. ''Obogaćena'' za znanje o životu jedne od najpoznatijih glumica današnjice mogu zaključiti da je lijepa i na žalost tu završava dojam o njoj.

Great book! Even though it's little older (2008) and I got to read it 10 years later it is still amazing. As a huge fan of Angie i got to know many things about her in very small details.I love how this book even describes her roles she played in all of her movies,they are described very good too! If you want to get to know Angie well, this is a great book.

Dobra si glumica,mnogoooo ćaknuta, ali i mngoooo lepa.

So it turns out you can have a completely naked vagina on the screen in a family movie as long as it's on your face. I guess it's a pretty straightforward equation. If one vagina is good, two is better. I came out of The Tourist with a crick in my neck. I confess, I spent the whole movie wondering what Jolie's lips would look like if viewed vertically.

Apparently it is supposed to make men think you want oral sex more than if you had normal lips that looked like a mouth. Honestly. This is a seriously two penis mouth, with room to squeeze in another one at a pinch, I imagine. Movies should be like tennis where you get penalised for distracting the opponent. The people on screen should get demerit points if you lose the plot.

There's another thing: I keep wondering what that mouth would look like if it were covered in hair the way a vagina has traditionally been present.

I know, I know, don't tell me. I'm just a girl, what would I know? Honestly. I like my vagina, but I'm happy with just the one and a mouth comes in handy too. For a start, imagine Jolie trying to suck spaghetti....

I got this book as a gift from a very special friend.
I've always been a fan of Angelina, and I have so much respect for her. That's why I really enjoyed this book so much!
Great insight into a wonderful person's world. Being a big fan of Angelina, I had heard most of the stories from her interviews in the past, but there were some things that surprised me! And I'm sure you'll be surprised too.
I couldn't put the book down. I remember that I've read it in one day!
And after reading it I felt like I know Angelina as if I'd grown up with her and I couldn't stop talking about the book and her life to my friends and family! I respect and love her even more after reading this book. She literally transformed herself and morphed into the amazing woman she is now. This book is a must for everyone!

I'm not a fan of biographies, but it just happened that I read this one. Sometimes I felt there were too many private details about the actress, but overall it may be an interesting read, especially for her admirers.

I appreciated the information on her charity work, too. I always liked Angelina, so I was happy to get to know a bit more about her, even though this type of books is not to my taste.
