No summary because I could not possibly write one that doesn't contain spoilers for the previous books😅🙈
The story continues right after the events of the previous book. The Dutch edition is split in two parts just like 'With my own heart's blood' and though I think this books is a bit more equally divided (regarding the action at least, not the pages🙈), I still got the feeling most of the action will take place in the second half of the book.
I really hope Gabaldon will finish the sequel very soon, because if the ending of this book is anything like her other books, it will have a cliffhanger🫠😂 I'm also not ready to part with these characters and the 18th century🥲
As I already mentioned there isn't much action, but there are a lot of necessary events and we get to know some important facts for the next part. I get the feeling we are slowly building up to a massive conclusion in the story of Claire and Jamie and I'm not ready for it🥺
