Grayson Friends #3

One Night With You

Cougars, brush fires, snow storms—rancher Duncan McBride tackles it all without a flinch. But the archeologist who's come to authenticate cave drawings found on his property is the kind of trouble he'd sworn to avoid. Far from the aging academic he was expecting, Raven La Blanc is a stunning woman…and definitely not sticking around this small Montana town once her job is done.

The primitive drawings at Duncan's ranch are Raven's ticket to the tenured position she's worked so hard for back in Santa Fe. But there's no denying the attraction between her and Duncan. Maybe, just this once, she can put her work aside and explore the depths of her own heart and soul? One night may be all it takes for Raven to really find what she's looking for…

Mrs. Ray crafts another WONDERFUL addition to the Grayson Friends series...I enjoy the main and secondary cast of characters...Rooster and his antics keep me LOL, throughout...and the SPARKS are definitely flying between Duncan and Raven...Raven is a kind, caring, loving, independent and courageous woman...at times I MUST admit I find DUNCAN and his STUBBORNNESS to be quite ANNOYING...but in the end I'm glad they find their way to a HEA...and as usual it's always nice to catch up with the rest of the Grayson clan and their ever-growing circle of family and friends.

Very good read. Didn't and couldn't put it down. To stubburn people that were very head strong but needed the love of the other. Out of all the books by Francis Ray this by all means was my absolute fav. Duncan seemed to be the perfect man.

I was once again awed by Ms. Ray's talent as I read this book. Overall, I loved it. It did take me a little while to get into it, I admit, but eventually I got to the point where I didn't want to put it down. I loved the evolution of Raven and Duncan's relationship, and I especially loved Duncan. I loved his strength and fearlessness.
One thing I will say, though, was that I thought a lot of the dialogue after they came together was a little corny. It's just my opinion, of course, but I just remember thinking that I don't know anyone that really talks like that no matter how much in love they are, and I'm one of the biggest saps you'll probably ever meet.
Also, the ending seemed a tad rushed. It didn't detract too much from the story for me, though; I still loved it. I'll have to get caught up with the series because at times I did get a little lost in all the different characters, but that's a good problem to have because it'll just give me an excuse to read more of Ms. Ray's books. :)

Of course it was a great read! I did enjoy Duncan and Raven's story and appreciated the historical background. I absolutely loved the Grayson series, and I'm glad that Mrs. Ray decided to do an extension with the Grayson's Friends series for some of us greedy readers! lol!

I am loving the Grayson Friends Novels. This one made me mad as well had me laughing. That darn Rooster is a hot mess lol, but you can't help but love him. It took a lot for McBride to overcome his biggest hurdle, but with a little push over, he recovered just fine. Love the HEA and how Mrs. Ray wrote this book in a series yet you can read them standalone without missing anything. An added bonus is the little family tree included in books 1-4 it keeps you sensible of each family line.

Duncan and Raven are so good together. Duncan needed to get past the McBride curse and the hurt his ex left him with to see this woman that came into his life and 🌎 as his perfect partner. Raven is brave, loving, and sweet.

I think all the women in Ms. Ray’s books are virgins. 🤨😉

Two People

The story line was great. Two people who did not like each other but fell in love. Two very strong minded people. It was great reading.

it was true to the form for one of her books. two hardheaded people trying to guess what each other felt. it makes you understand that you have to express how you feel no matter what you think the other person is thinking,

Sierra was hella annoying in this book. I understand she wanted them to be together but I was ready to punch her in the face.
