I read this in Korean, not sure if others (who reviewed) read it through translated version or not.

The main female character tries to kill herself as she believes it's her only solution. In the process, the female and male character (wife and husband) switches bodies.

*Readers say the male lead is horrible.. but*
The main male character only knows how to show “love” through money. That's how he was raised by his disgusting adopted family, who lied and used him for his money. So that's why he believes money can genuinely bring happiness to his wife (a former princess whom he thinks she grew up in luxury). He realizes later that money doesn't solve everything and discovers his wife’s feelings. He regrets it more than anything. I don't think it's his fault that he doesn't know what love is or how to show love until he starts to understand his wife’s point of view. He genuinely loves her more than anything.

It's a story about two people getting to know each other and learning how to communicate with each other. I think it's a sad, beautiful, and dramatic story.

Ml is just trash, I didn't bother finishing the story bcs there's no excuse for treating your wife like that,,he's not "shy or he doesn't know how to show his affection uwu" wtf she literally tried to kill herself and he was like "well sucks to be you I guess"

Both ML and FL are getting on my nerves! Nothing can excuse the ML's behavior towards the FL, he is just being shitty for no good reason. And the FL's personality is pissing me off! I find it hard to believe that she was a princess before getting married. She lets herself get bullied by the ML's family and basically everyone in high society, which doesn't make sense for someone claiming to be a prideful princess.
I heard that this gets better so I hope I'll like this more in the next volumes.

Just as painful and heartfelt as it was the first time I read this digitally…

My heart still hurts, despite that the right-before-ending left me feeling hopeful for Violet and Winter's relationship, but dang it! The people around them (minus like maybe four people??) are AWFUL!

There are so many upsetting things I could say because never once did they care for Violet OR Winter! I truly hope justice is served with them by the end because they are horrible horrible people…

I would definitely say look up trigger warnings for this series because it was at times hard to read, and think that despite how much I loved what I've read twice now, I'm going to continue digitally because it is still a lot to take in.

After seeing multiple reviews about the ml being an as**ole online, I really didn't want to start reading this at first since I detest abusive & ignorant MLs that change in the end for the sake of saving the romance plot but man was I wrong about this one! Yes I was.

Sure the manhwa started off in a depressing way, the ml is not abusive just plain ignorant but that's the plot of the story, it's literally about how they overcame their miscommunication, misunderstandings, their wrong interpretation of each other, their depression, anxiety, insecurities and everything wrong with their lives and relationship, slowly, gradually.
Both the ML and the FML deserve a true happy ending together 💙
Definitely give this one a chance if you're contemplating because of the bad reviews about the ML.

TW* suicide

This had a chance of being good.

This is a story about a women in a loveless arrainged marriage. She loves her husband but he can't stand her. In the years of their marriage the main girl is treated bad by society BECAUSE her husband shows her no care. The main girl is depressed so she decides to end her life multiple times and she fails. Instead everytime she tries to kill herself she switches bodies with her husband?

Well, the reason I hate this is mostly because the main guy. He really doesn't care about his wife AT ALL. I'm only mentioning this because his uncaring attitude towards his wife is supposed to be seen as a miscommunication because apparently he cared about her from the start. But he puts no effort in trying to understand his wife's hardships. He thinks she's annoying when she's obviously distressed. He thinks he had it worse in life than her so she shouldn't be suicidal. And when he finds out his step mom harassed his wife he doesn't react like I thought he should.

Idk maybe this will get better as it progresses but I'm losing hope. I'll still continue to read it.

Al principio la premisa parecía interesante porque era realista: una princesa arruinada y un hombre de negocios rico se casan en un matrimonio arreglado porque la familia de ella necesita el dinero y él quiere un título nobiliario. Es algo que ha pasado y pensaba que sería interesante ver cómo evoluciona la relación de la pareja y las conspiraciones del entorno. Pero no porque todo se basa en hacer drama absurdo que habrían solventado hablando cinco minutos, pero nunca lo hacen. Y esa es la idea que alarga la historia hasta la nausea. Ya. No hay más. Sólo un malentendido tras otro, algunos realista y la mayoría estúpidos. No tiene ningún interés, dado que no es más que alargar estúpidamente el sufrimiento. Y aunque sé que el anzuelo es ver cómo lo arreglan al final no me interesa. No soy de las que cree que el amor lo puede todo, eso es un tópico absurdo. Si hubieran hablado desde el principio y la relación hubiera ido creciendo me interesaría, pero a cierta altura ya no es creíble ni sano que acaben en pareja porque, primero, la relación ya está demasiado viciada; y, segundo, es estúpido que vayan a poder arreglar lo que no han hecho en años, si pueden hacer eso al final en poco tiempo con declararse su amor, eso no hace épico el momento, eso sólo demuestra que han sido imbéciles hasta la fecha y que toda la historia ha sido innecesaria.

This is not a story to be taken lightly. There are themes that can be triggering, so 'What it Means to be You' won't be for everyone. And you will also find that Winter is not the prince charming any of us, especially Violet, was hoping for. He is rude and cruel and does stupid crap, but I can't fault him completely because as a flawed, imperfect person myself, I know we all carry baggage and it will affect each one of us differently. So that means, he will not be most readers' cup of tea NOR will they like this story because of just how intense some of the scenes progress. But for me, I was hooked and reeled in with every page and I was on the edge of my seat praying for everything to work to out okay. Life is already a complicated, sad, beautiful story, that it's hard to sometimes read something without the happily ever after we all wish for. But at the end of the day, I felt this story took on a hard topic and what it means to fall in love with someone unexpected and how to work through the rough moments. It's a story that grips your heart and it will change you once you've finished reading it.

¿Qué seria de mi año este año si no existieran los manhwas?

Con esta historia tengo varios conflictos, especialmente por el protagonista. Entiendo un poco su necesidad de afecto aunque su manera de querer conseguirlo no es muy adecuada, querer comprar el cariño de tu esposa con joyas cuando ella lo que necesita es tu ayuda, amor y comprensión no es lo más ideal. Y cada que la prota intenta como demostrarle que no quiere esas cosas, el pobre no entiende.

Me gusta que hacia el final de esta primera temporada se dan cuenta que el matrimonio esta roto por cual de los dos (claramente siendo más culpa de Winter que de Violet), esa falta de comunicación hacia las cosas mucho más complicadas y la pobre prota también esta en la encrucijada de intereses de terceros.

La seguiré leyendo porque quiero ver como continua el tema de cambio de cuerpos cuando uno de los dos intenta terminar con su vida y ver como sigue avanzando la historia de estos dos.

PD: Ojalá los papás de Winter sufran por malditos.

Es una historia bastante fuerte diría yo, y me gustó que fuera distinta a lo promedio, o por lo menos yo nunca ví una trama como esta antes.
Esta historia la tuve pendiente durante mucho tiempo, ayer haciendo una limpieza la encontré y leí la descripción, sonaba atrapante así que la empecé y vaya mi sorpresa con encontrarme con una historia tan distinta a mi imaginación. Realmente me gustó, la entiendo mucho a ella al igual que él, siento que la falta de comunicación es demasiada por parte de él, es un desastre y espero que pueda cambiar ello.

Öncelikle erkek karakterimiz olan Winter Blooming her şeyin parayla çözülebileceğine inanan biri ve bundan hoşlandığım söylenemez.Esas kızımıza üzüldüğüm noktalar oldu ama bence beyin nakline ihtiyacı var.Bunların dışında birazcık kaynana entrikaları var(Bazen Türk dizisi izlediğimi düşündüm.)Devamını okumayı düşünmüyorum. If you wanna read a manhwa full of melodrama and ANGST, this is the one for you. But personally, after about 46 chapters, the problems and toxicity of the ML are just...too much to handle. I think that if you are ready and wanting to read something sad, especially where the FL is abused, ignored, and demeaned by nearly everyone in her life and then has to build herself back up, this is great. But, I just got...tired of how terrible everything was lol

this honestly isn’t bad at all and it starts off so strong, the storyline is interesting and I like the angst, but there’s just so many chapters and after chapter 35 it starts to feel a bit repetitive. the miscommunications are eye rolling and I just have way too many other manhwas I want to read than stick this out for 165 chapters. it’s not terrible though and I may pick it back up later. considering this first volume the first 55 chapters.

actually i knew this manhwa since long ago. but i do not read it because i think it would be weird if the souls is swapping but i think i should not have that thought because this is such a masterpiece. i don't know what about you, but for me if the story successfully making me cried, so it is indeed a masterpiece. hoho! and the art is great too.

There’s no excuse to his actions towards her, it’s was super toxic especially in the first 20 chapters, and honestly I get the sense that he didn’t love her he’s just insecure and she is the perfect noble in his opinion, she’s a princess pure with perfect manners and put together, he loves the idea of her as his wife like she completes his imperfection.

Como a alguien que le encanta el drama me gustó mucho el inicio, enserio hay unos personajes que se hacen odiar, después de que Violet se fue me empezó a parecer todo un poco aburrido y me abría gustado que se hablara más del clan de Winter.

So far, this manhwa is full of misunderstandings. It's frustrating how the main leads are not communicating with each other. I also feel bad for the female character, as she doesn't have anyone by her side. I will be dropping this manhwa for now as the recent manhwas I've read are traumatizing, but I will try picking it up again next time.

I love second chance manhwas, and this one is beautifully done. The story, the art, and the characters are so intriguing. I am biased because I love romance manhwa of any kind. But I think this will be in my top five of this year for sure!
