One of the best ML in manhwa history, hands down. God sent Male character. Each and everything he does is literally screaming 'You won't get another man like me~~' Author-nim thank you for creating such a wonderful character like him.
it seems that the rumors are true. love is real, yall.
im in my feelings because finally, this webcomic is complete. i've been keeping up with chapter releases since idk when and it's kinda sad that one of my comfort webtoons has now come to an end. however, im very happy with how this story turned out and i found the conclusion very sweet and satisfying.
if you want to read an accidental pregnancy story with lots of fluff and not too much drama, this one's for you. the art is to die for as well. come get your good romance feels here!!
I've read the full series. And I'll say that it's definitely binge worthy. The relationship picks up in the story and I love the character development between the two.
Gaah! Romance manwha has been taking over my entire life. I can't stop reading these things. To start off, Doo Joon is so freakin hot. He is the perfect everything. I just can't. I mean look at that face??? Gaah!
Guys like him will leave me an unmarried woman. He is absolutely my type! Dear lord. Anyone interested in a fun, fake dating that leads to actual marriage will highly enjoy this book! I love the main characters as well as the secondary ones. I feel like this is what manwhas does so well, being able to allow other characters to flourish as well without overshadowing the main storyline.
FYI. I have read the original ending of this series but it seems like the author decided to extend it to the secondary characters which I am still reading. This review will be for the storyline that has been concluded originally but is still ongoing.
So she has a one night stand, finds out she is pregnant, meets said baby's father during a doctor's visit and he proposes marriage? I was instantly sold. This is a really lighthearted, comedic read that I am sure most will enjoy. It is still ongoing, but I do look forward to future updates.
After suffering some heartbreak, Hee-won decides she's going to do something completely out of character for her. She's going to have a one-night stand. What began as a fun careless night with a handsome stranger soon turns on its head as Hee-won finds out that she is pregnant. When our handsome stranger, Doo-joon finds out, he's determined to do the right thing and marry her and raise the child together. This is how the whole story starts and what we get is to be witness to two virtual strangers trying to figure out how to be together and to prepare for the ultimate test of parenthood. There are ups and downs and two people that are lucky enough to find love as they go. This was a really sweet and romantic story (I can't believe I liked it) and I loved watching Hee-won and Doo-joon get to know each other and help each other through their difficulties.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys romance based manga.
the 3rd chapter was a giant mess. pro-life propaganda and internalized misogyny like...okay first, the gynecologist was a jerk to the main character because she was hella judgmental about being pregnant while unmarried to a husband. then the gyno said, "this clinic doesn't offer abortions" and then the mc started haranguing her doctor with a sanctimonious pro-life rant like... i thought i could endure it a bit because our community (east asians) include some antiquated tropes that i can usually roll my eyes at and then move on but i'm just so fuckin done with these shitty ideologies heaped onto women. maaaaybe i'll continue but my tolerance for this shit rn is at an all-time low.
Leí esta historia porque leí un comentario cuando estaba leyendo 달콤살벌한 부부 A Bittersweet Couple donde comparaban ese manhwa con éste, and fortunately it didn’t disappoint.
I didn’t love this but I also can’t stop reading it.
Our main character’s friends suck ass and it’s really difficult to just immediately love a character who went out of her way to have a one night stand and never once thought to use or bring a single contraceptive…and then had the nerve to be genuinely shocked and blindsided by the pregnancy
Ma’am
I need us to be so serious rn like pls
Also all these random men keep freaking me out
Also idk if I like the love interest
But again…I can’t stop and I don’t really know why
Basically one night stand gone... right?LMAO. Well I mean, girlie getting knocked up but she's scored because look at the male lead— mmmh— HOT STUFF 🥵🔥
Good artwork ☑️ Hot male lead ☑️ Full of drama ☑️ Cute at times ☑️ Full of clichés? Yes. Sometimes awfully cringe? Yes. But it's kind of executed in a good way I guess ((since you see me still reading this story until the last chapter update LOL)).
The female lead can be passive and active if she need to. She can stand for herself pretty well and not fully dependable to the male lead. I'm quite satisfied with that characterization. The male lead sometimes may look borderline manipulative ((and can be pretty possessive too—)). But I really suggest you guys not to look into it too much because the genre tags doesn't warn us of something murky it's about to be in it, so yeah, it's just the usual trope~
Pros: *The art is wonderful, very pleasing to look at. *I laughed quite a few times while reading. The humor is a nice break between all the drama. *None of the character's motivations seem to be nonsensical, which I appreaciate.
Cons: I find some of Doo-joon's domineering behavior to be problematic. At times, it feels like he manipulates Hee-wan to do what he wants instead of letting her decide. Like when she finally "says" yes to him. That made me rather uncomfortable, as it felt like she just passively went along with it. I'm not super down for that. That type of behavior screams red flag to me.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but so far I'm still enjoying the story. It'll be interesting to see where it goes. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong in regard to my concerns.
Pros: Easy read, understandable translations, nice art Cons: fast paced, a lot of characters introduced that doesn't have much appearance and effect to the story line
The story line focus mainly on the fl and ml and while there's no issue in that, I didn't like how some characters are ... just there. Since we aren't that far into it (I'm hoping there's a lot more to come) its acceptable because they might show more meaning in the future. I just had a problem with characters just showing up and disappearing but that's kinda how this works.
I think both the fl and ml rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning.
This is the sweetest webcomic I’ve read to date! The ML, Doo-joon, is by far my favorite toon guy to swoon over! Very well written, and completed with just one season. 4.5 stars, because while the HEA is very satisfyingly done, there are about 12 more episodes + special episodes that appear to be about a secondary high school couple that I’m not interested in reading.
Merged review:
Read on Tapas. This might be my favorite manga/webcomic to date. Doo-joon was strong, honorable, and caring. Sweet and swoony! I’m glad I purchased this so I can reread.
I really loved the characters, the art, the way it handled relationships and emotions . Overall this is a solid 5 stars for me. Made me cry a little which i rare and it usually means that the topic that it handled are done very well
