I became fascinated with writing in the sixth grade, when my English teacher had the class get into pairs to write and illustrate a short story. I absolutely loved it. As the years went on, I found myself growing increasingly excited with the prospect of writing something...anything. When I looked forward to the writing portion of standardized tests, I knew I was a lost cause. I had discovered my passion…writing.

When I got my first home computer, I discovered the Internet and something even more fantastic--fan fiction. I had never heard of such a thing, but with the opportunity to change storylines from your favorite shows to do with as you pleased and share it with the world… Wow! I became addicted to it. An avid soap fan at the time, I had a wonderful time re-writing all the wrongs perpetrated against my favorite daytime couples. I was having a great time, but I wanted more.

Around this time, a friend told me about Romance Writers of America (RWA). I was a bit skeptical, because I didn’t think of myself as a romance writer, but I joined nonetheless. It was the best move I ever made. Soon after, I joined the local chapter of RWA, Lowcountry Romance Writers of America (LRWA) in Charleston, SC.

Since joining these groups, I have learned so much about the craft of writing. Things I sincerely doubt I could have learned on my own. These learned tools have enabled me to write my brand of contemporary fiction. Stories about people and their hopes, fears, and aspirations. Stories that make you think; that touch, tickle, and titillate you. A combination of your favorite sit-com and family drama all rolled into one paperbacked package. If I can a make a reader smile, laugh, sigh, or even have a moment of reflection, I’ve done what I’ve set out to do--to bring joy with what brings me joy.

I'm going to paraphrase Dahlia (the heroine in Blindsided): "It's amazing that I could love someone with an ego (as in narcisis) as big as Norris and his daughter Reese"

That father and daughter team would die without a mirror! But I loved them, Dahlia and Ms. Williams because this book is as great and as fun as her debut book Choices. I didn't think it possible that she could outdo the cuteness of Justin from Choices but she most certainly did with Reese.

This is an uncomplicated fun read. I understood Dahlia's reluctance -- and was happy with her growth and courage. This book was/is a happey ever after read. It was a fun read. It is a keeper.

I expected the book to be totally focused on the romantic relationship between Norris and Dahlia, and was pleasantly surprised that although that was the basis of the plot, Norris' discovery that he has a sixteen year old daughter also plays a huge part in the story.

Additionally, I appreciated the fact that although it was acknowledged that Norris and Dahlia are a mixed race couple and that can present some challenges, there wasn't an unnecessary emphasis put on their races. I enjoyed all the characters, there was one thing I didn't particularly like about Norris though. He's a very macho, self-assured, and at times egotistical man, but some of the things he said didn't seem to match that personality. The way Norris sometimes responded to something in conversation, or would occasionally refer to himself felt more like something a female character, possibly the writer herself would say. It was just an occasional thing, and not something that affected the overall story for me.

I really did enjoy this book. This is the sequel to Choices. Tammy Williams has done it again with a good story with great characters.

This is the story of Norris Converse lifetime bachelor and playboy who finally falls in love with the perfect woman, Dahlia Sinclair. Just one catch, Dahlia's been scorched by love and has decided never to love truly again. Dahlia and Norris start out as friends with benefits and this is perfect as neither of them ever wants to be in a committed relationship. Norris starts to fall in love with Dahlia and she is upset, she loves him too but refuses to let love get in the way of her belief that she will only be hurt again. Along the way we find out Norris has a 16 year old daughter he's never known about because her crazy (yes that's my assessment) mother decided she just wanted a sperm donor and not a father for her child. Norris now has to navigate the anger he feels towards her mother and the stress of getting to know his teen-aged daughter, Reese (16 and knows everything).

We also get, Norris' racist ass mother, Genevieve. She comes from old money and still lives in the Dark Ages. She tells him to get rid of his daughter and she would set up a trust fund for her as long as no one ever knows because it would ruin the family. YIKES!!!!!! Norris of course, being the perfect man that he is tells her to get the hell out of his life forever. YEESSSS!!!!!

SPOILER ALERT***********************We learn the reason for Dahlia's pain has to do with the sister she hasn't spoken to in 2 years. Her sister had an affair with her husband and they are still together and now her sister is having her ex-husband's baby and there are complications.

Anyway, after all of that, Dahlia realizes she really loves Norris and denies the fact no longer and they live happily ever after, as they should.

What I loved about the book were the witty exchanges between Norris and Reese. Some of those scenes were really enjoyable if not always realistic. I also loved Norris and Dahlia's actual friendship. I will definitely read more by this author.

Business owner Dahlia Sinclair is involved in a no strings attached affair with Norris Converse. Early in the story we discover that Norris no longer wants a meaningless affair with Dahlia, because he has fallen in love with her. A relationship is the last thing Dahlia wants, after her husband destroy her faith in love. Telling Dahlia that he loves her is only one of Norris' problems, when he discovers he is the father of a 16 years old biracial daughter, he knew nothing about. He is instantly thrown into the position of father, when his daughter's recently married mother decides it is time for him to get to know his daughter and decides to move to Africa for six months.
I loved following Norris' journey of getting to know his daughter and being a good father, while fighting to convince Dahlia she is the love of his life. Great story!

After reading 1585713007 Choices Indigo Love Spectrum] I was anxious to read this book to see how Norris would be taken down, and it surely was something else. Norris and Dahlia had this hot chemistry from the very first page of the book. Their relationship was certainly a rocky one, but one that seemed meant to be. His discovery of his daughter Reese was unexpected for him, but he handled it exceedingly well, and it was great to see how their relationship evolved. Overall this was another wonderful interracial read, and I can't wait to read more from this author.

I really enjoyed this book Norris and Reese were so funny and cute together. Norris was all that and then some to the ladies but Dahlia was tamed the beast . Dahlia was afraid of the love she had for Norris so she would not acknowledge her love for him, but Norris was a man that was used to getting what he wants so he would not take no for an answer. This book is about love of friends love of family, acknowledging the love you have if you read this book you will not be disappointed ., it is sweet funny and sexy when you pick it up you not wan to put it down.

4 stars. Love the story; I understand how D' was going through regarding relationship wise, been there, and funny I think I am still there. His daughter, wow a very very Tween with superficial issues. Norris Mom, ooh I wanted to go in there and slap the taste out of her mouth, How dare she? Overall it was a delightful story. I truly enjoy how Norris pursue D' even though it was killing him that she was not showing the same love he had towards her. But I truly loved it. Kudos to the author, Thank you for writing a splendid story.

I liked the story quite a bit it was great for some light reading and entertaining. I felt however that there were gaps in the story, not that the story did not flow but that there were sections that could have been elaborated on and things given more detail. Sometimes it felt like the pushes in the time line where too rushed and a bit of filler could have been used. Over all it was a good story with only a few word mishaps.

2.75 stars. This story went on and on and on. Norris and Dahlia's romance seemed forced and random characters seemed to loom large in they interaction. Norris Converse, a investment expert, managed Dahlia Sinclair's portfolio and hair salon audits. Norris is unaware that in college he sired a mixed race daughter, Dahlia knows his child and mother and acts as a go between for the trio. Norris's mother is a racist and has a problem with the whole thing. Dahlia and Norris become a couple.

Could not understand why the hero liked the heroine but found myself warming up to her. I know she was hurt before but did not get why she only wanted to
be in a “cutbuddy” situation. I also thought that the Hero was serious about making his world about her and his daughter.

It was decent, but I wasn't captivated by this book. I skipped around the book, thankfully, it was a eBook loan via my library.

Giving this one 2 stars.
