Now, you may be having a question in your mind, like, "Which bar can I get a Doo Joon Kang?" He's the ideal man :( I think I might slap him a couple if I do find a guy exactly like him... just to confirm if he is truly existing and breathing the same air I breathe.
I just finished this series, and I absolutely loved every twist and turn in Hee-Won and Doo-Joon’s journey! Their story was so engaging, and I enjoyed every moment. Byeo-Ri and Noo-Ri, Hee-Won and Doo-Joon’s kids, are just too cute, and I couldn't help but smile whenever they were mentioned. I’m also so proud of Hee-Won for earning her doctorate; her growth throughout the series was truly inspiring.
However, I was a bit disappointed that there was no update on Se-Hyun and Tae-Woo at the end. We got to see where everyone else ended up, but their fate after leaving Jeju Island was left unanswered, which felt like a missing piece. Despite that, I truly enjoyed this series and might even give it a reread soon!

Though the plot and storyline of this manhwa was a bit cliché, I can't believe how much some of these scenes made me cry my eyes cosplay as waterfalls... 🥲 I also like how the finale volume didn't end up with them just having a baby but instead, the author gave us a glimpse of their parenting life and showed us that not everything was hearts and roses. It felt relatable that way. 😭
Doojoon stayed true on his stance that Heewon's still his number one priority even now that they have a baby. Seeing how unhappy and exhausted she was as a new mom, he insisted for her to take a break from all of it. Heewon's refusal to ask for help in childcare rooted from her abandonment issues and that resulted to stress, exhaustion, and unhappiness. But after difficult conversations, she realized Doojoon was right and yes, she should take a breather to recharge.
Heewon: I still feel guilty leaving Byeo-ri behind and spending time together just the two of us... but in order to be someone who has more love to give, I know that I need to love and be loved and ultimately, be happy.
I hate the timing of Heewon's mom's apologies although props to author-nim for not glossing over her shortcomings as a mother. Owning to her faults like her cold attitude and how she ended up making Heewon feel lonely growing up because she didn't have time to give her affection. Admitting those were the results of her pride, bitterness over her ex-husband, and the drive to prove everyone she can make it without help. Realizing that in the end, those petty reasons were what made her miss out on Heewon becoming an adult and not having the chance to be a mother to her. Ugh! I can't believe this cold character made me cry. 🙄 The dialogue with her mom was brilliantly laid out though, I must admit. 👌
I also think Heewon gave in too early but can't blame her for still wanting her mother's affection all these years. Especially after giving birth herself and realizing how much it must've felt for her mom, too, drove her to give their relationship a second chance. We all need a fresh start after difficult times. 🥲
mixture of romantic and humorous scenes between the main couple. so happy i picked this up. the first thing that caught my eye was the art style and then i finished it within a day.
It was surprisingly good! Positively Yours started in a reverse order for the romance story between the main characters, which I think was pretty interesting.
This story started with FL having a one night stand with a guy she met in a bar after hastily going there mending a broken heart because her bff that she has a crush on is now dating their other close friend. She thought it was just a one night stand until she met the director of the school that she teaches at. Imagine the surprise, lol.
The romance after the second meet didn’t have a good start mostly because of MLs annoying mouth. He was quite annoying, but he eventually grew on me, since that’s just how he is. The sudden pregnancy didn’t help either, lol, since it was unexpected. I thought he was just being responsible, but as I read further, I think he was being controlling and a bit forceful. He wants to marry the FL since she’s pregnant but he is being incessant about it which I think is not a good thing if they are just starting with their “relationship”. But oh well, goodluck for their married life later on then, lol.
The creator’s take on their married life was pretty realistic, so I really like reading that. It shows us the struggle of their marriage life considering it didn’t start with love. That’s why it was really rewarding seeing the confession part after what they went through.
Unlike Daytime Star, I don’t think I love either of the main characters in this manhwa, but I do love their chemistry. The ML may not be my favorite, but it was still enjoyable to read his character development. The FL on the other hand is sometimes annoying, but still better than other stupid fantasy FL out there, lol. Her family troubles was quite sad, but I’m glad she finally able to overcome that in the side story, *wink.
Their scenes with MLs family were also quite hilarious and funny to read, lol.
Contrary to what I expected, her crush and their other close friend was not annoying. Actually, their friendship was really nice to read. It may sound a bit awkward since your two close friends suddenly started dating, but in the end you could see that they really are meant for each other.
There was also a stalking psycho which was a little annoying, but it feels like it was just added there for the drama. Overall, it was still tolerable, *wink.
Lastly, the art was surprisingly good. Definitely no complaints, especially on the character design, *wink.
As per usual, this manhwa also has some side stories, with babies and romance of the side characters, so it was extremely enjoyable to read. If you are craving for a modern romance, then Positively Yours should be on your list!
I really liked this manhwa. Other than chaotic characters, I like how this talks about what female faces in the society, especially as being a pregnant or being a mother. We can see how Heewon struggles with not being provided a good childhood, especially before and after her parents divorce and how deep the trauma this has caused on her end that she is afraid that she and Dojoon will have the same fate as her parents. We also see how she struggles continuing her career despite the things she heard from her colleagues. I like that she was able to overcome it without relying too much to Dojoon. I like how attentive and caring Dojoon is. He might be pushy especially with the wedding, but I like that he has that sense of responsibility which is really rare in men nowadays. Overall, this is such a good read.

Basic plot: After a 1-night stand, Hee-Won finds herself pregnant. Doyun is determined to win her over and marry the mother of his child.
I'm reviewing the entire series as a whole instead of reviewing each individual issue. I read the English translation of this series via the Tapas app.
Such a cheesy plot description for a story that was really full of humor and depth. The characters were relatable and the situation, while it seems rather outside of typical American standards, is about a different culture that has different ways of doing things. It's eye-opening. I really felt for the characters as they navigated the strange waters they found themselves in. The art was consistently beautiful, and helped tell the visual story when words alone just aren't enough.
Short and sweet love story of a woman who has a one night stand with a chaebol cutiepie & gets pregnant. The ML is ready to take responsibility but the FL is reluctant to marry someone if not for love. She believes that just because two people are having a child doesn't mean they need to get stuck together in a loveless marriage. Hence begins our hero's quest at winning the woman's heart whom he already adores because of her kind personality. So, they agree to date and find out if it can work.
Will his family accept her?
Will her family accept him?
Will they really love each other?
A cute get-together story of two unlikely people just like in K-dramas.
The first manga I finished it has such a special place in my heart super cute easy read the characters are so perfect for one another . All that being said I do think some parts of the story need improvement like the art style is just ok sometimes the characters can look a bit similar and the chemistry between the main characters felt a bit nonexistent sometimes but this series is really nostalgic for me
it’s such a beautifully written romance with the greenest ml you’ll ever see in your entire life and the perfect mix of comedy. i’m not the best at writing reviews but i seriously love this manhwa with my whole heart 🥹🥹
