This story originally appeared in Christmas at the Club: A Christmas BDSM Romance Anthology. I'm beginning with this because it's the second book I've read in two days by Ms. Angel and her friends that lacks any disclaimer. Say it with me now, authors: "re-release." Was that really so hard?
In my original review of this entry in the BDSM Club Stronghold series, I particularly liked the atypical (for this genre) subject matter: a semi-autobiographical account of how one couple addresses post-pregnancy libido loss. I appreciated the realism, self-reflexivity (shoutout to "niche genre interests"), poignant humor, dual POV so that we get both character's perspective on a complex issue, Adam's supportiveness, and Ms. Angel's very thoughtful author's note. At times, I did find it repetitious (we heard how difficult touch was for Angel several times), slow-moving, and typo-ridden.
4 stars. It's great to see such an important topic sensitively handled. Note: Because this is an already established couple who have appeared in several other books (The Sassy Submissive), I don't know how well it works as a standalone.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoy Golden Angel's contemporary BDSM books, and I especially enjoyed reading about Angel and Adam, the first couple from the Stronghold series. I liked the realism of their situation of being in love but struggling with some aspects of their physical and emotional relationship during pregnancy and after the birth of their baby. Too many romance books either end at "happily ever after", or else the epilogue shows a fantasy that many years and multiple kids later, they're just still as hot for one another as ever. I much prefer the "real life isn't always perfect" approach.

Motherhood is a beautiful thing but it plays havoc with adult time. Adam and Angel are discovering that their beautiful daughter has brought tumult to their marriage. In this holiday special they fight to regain intimacy in their marriage. It made my heart melt.

Cute, read it before the actual novel and I found the characters so cute, funny, and endearing that I desperately wanted to know their whole backstory! So I got the first Stronghold book to read more about their back story and initial start. Zero regrets, this is such a cute insight into a BDSM relationship and what happens to some women after having children that doesn't get talked about nearly enough. Totally worth it and still an excellent blend of cute and spicy~

I loved getting to spend time with Angel and Adam again in this holiday novella! It beautifully captures the very real struggle of finding your rhythm again after having a baby, while still delivering all the cozy, feel-good emotions of watching a couple reconnect.
This was the perfect, heartwarming read to curl up with under a blanket and a mug of hot cocoa for an hour. Festive, comforting, and just what I needed. 🎄☕✨

one of the few books that really resonated with me about my feelings after giving birth. It was so good to read a book where someone struggled and was not the rose tinted glasses approach that most books take.

Je me suis énormément attaché aux personnages de cette série. Bien qu’ils soient nombreux, j’aime les retrouver de livres en livres, souvent comme personnage secondaire dans l’histoire des autres. Comme l’histoire d’Angel et d’Adam datait du premier tome de la série, j’aime été heureuse de les retrouver pour un épisode spécial Noël.
🪅 Le sujet abordé dans cette nouvelle est intéressant. J’aime que l’auteur, en restant dans son cadre habituel, mettre de l’avant une situation qui touche beaucoup de femmes : la relation avec son corps suite à un accouchement, mais aussi la relation avec l’autre partie du couple après ce même accouchement,
