[vol. 7 = episodes 72 to 83]

i am LOVING this. the plot is thickening so smoothly, and the backstories are thrown at us in the most vulnerable of ways. the little moments we get are so greatly cherished and I FEAR I AM OBSESSED. i literally sit down to read this the moment i get even five minutes of free time. is this normal??

Episode 72 ~ 83

I can’t say this is my favorite volume but I do love the way the author intentionally juxtaposes specific scenes or moments to its exact counterpart to really drive home a message for the readers.

For example: A mother carrying for its child and child caring for its mother is very reasonable idea to grasp.

Now pairing this idea to making a choice between saving mother or child is a much more complex situation..

On one side we have Rieta a mother who’s lost her child and can’t live without the grief of her family circumstances bearing down on her. She without hesitation would chose the child live rather than the mother. She herself living with the loss of her baby makes her feel guilty for continuing to live without her child..

One the other hand we have Killian who had his mother killed twice and who do anything in his power to save her. He chooses the mother.

We eventually find out it’s actually a father saving his child but I digress the idea still stands and honestly it makes it even better. I love that this WEBTOON does not shy away from portraying such deep values emotions and concepts.
