When one needy boy makes taking it slow impossible…
Sivney is determined to take his sweet time to get to know his new lovers, Naran and Lev. After all, they each brought quite a bit of baggage into their relationship and figuring out how they fit together is not easy.
But Lev can’t wait until Sivney is ready for more. He needs Sivney and Naran to take care of him now. Preferably, like, yesterday. Will Sivney step up when Lev needs more than he’s willing to give initially?
The pack as a whole has bigger worries. Civil War is on the verge of breaking out, and since the capital is only miles away, that doesn’t bode well for the pack members. But when one of the pack members becomes deadly sick, even war isn’t their first concern anymore…
Omega’s Power is book 8 in the Irresistible Omegas series, a bestselling mpreg romance series which needs to be read in order to enjoy the plot lines fully. This MMM romance has a little kink, a lot of love, and some high angst moments, but ends with a HEA for all characters.
Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?
The short? You got it.
I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.
How was that?
A little more detail? Gotcha.
I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

The romance parts took a little backseat in this one but man the overarching plot practically exploded. It was a lot. It was painful and beautiful and so very hard to put down. For that I give this book 5 stars. Otherwise I wouldn’t bc the featured romance is pretty heavy on a D/s dynamic I simply don’t enjoy.
I was so excited for Lev to shift for the first time and with him being gender-fluid so curious which form his wolf would show (bc you can see the differences between alpha/beta/omega wolves in size and fur color) and how the author would handle this. And he was beautiful. ♡
The Hayes pack has gotten really big by now and there are A LOT of characters to remember but I really love it. They feel like a big family, everyone has their place and I love to watch them all so much.
My only complaint is that there was a new threesome forming out of nowhere and we don’t get much insights about them —not in this book, not in an extra one for them. But now that the pack split into two and the next book features a relationship with known characters but within the new formed pack (the Hightower pack), I hope we get a bit more of their story then, too.
“You and Lev, you’re the best things that ever happened to me. You’re good for me, firecracker.
Please, help me be good for you as well.”
You see, Amina, this's why we can't have good things? Or not. Well, it hurts, but ah, sometimes you just gotta believe in a happy ending. 🥺
So very vague, but yeah, that question about Palani that tore me up last time? Sweet, strong Palani, second-in-command, Lidon's everything, Vieno's first love, Enar's strength - of course, he would be the perfect choice to rip open one's heart. And for the better half, that hurt definitely showed its true colors. But, lest the alpha ever doubt an Omega's Power again. 🙂↔️🙂↔️ Be it the True Omega, or an omega not so very much like an omega; they can surprise you. Not resort to stereotypical archetypes and make a name and a presence for themselves that defies history and norms. To prove their worth is so much more so than what society and generational expectations demand of them. 🫡
Vieno and Sivney proudly earned their keep here. It's in the little gestures or the grandest of them, they enriched their loved ones lives in ways impossible to repay or even describe. Vieno's strength and resolve - emboldened by his love for his mates was beautifully portrayed - tender raw emotion that seeped into the core of the pack. ❤️🩹❤️🩹 The shock and the feelings were just pure palpitations of the fear of the unknown. It's a testament to not adhere to labels that both of them stand out and stand proud; that makes them an indomitable presence with their fated mates that really had me impressed by both of them.
“I love you two so fucking much it scares me, but it’s worth it. Even if we…”
The trio of Naran, Lev and Sivney still have their own obstacles to overcome; it's to know that neither of them are expendable to keep their relationship afloat is the cursory point they have to work on. Each of them worked hard to prove that they were here for the long run - to trust and respect and believe that their connection is heartfelt and true and theirs. - that strength truly is in numbers and that they truly were fated mates - even if the fear of being rejected was so very great. 😟 As frustrating as it may be, with so much water under the bridge, with patience and some tender loving and passionate affection for them to stop talking in circles and brave and brace for the inevitable. 🩶🤎🤍
Whether it is Lev having guarded, jaded Sivney believe that there is no chance in hell that he is a third wheel, if it is how Naran ensures that even without his legs, his love is all the strength he needs, if it is Sivney being an omega that is both domineering and brave and steadfast - that he derives pleasure in giving pleasure, without a sign of weakness - even as he keeps his heart closed off. 😟 Through understanding, they grow to love one another on a deep level - sexual explorations of intimacy that awaken and heighten each of their desires - while still learning to find their place amongst themselves and see what position they each hope to have for their future. 🫂
“We are four, and we are one. Four hearts, one soul. Four bodies, one mind. What we have bound together, no man will ever break apart.”
Some welcome surprises, some painful discoveries, some momentous occasions, some tender gestures - even if it was frustrating at times to know that you want someone, just not sure if it is right to have someone that makes their dynamic interesting. 🥹 Or to feel so helpless when resources are limited and you don't have anything in your power to do something in order to save someone's life. Testing the courage and loyalty of your mates, while also fearing that you don't have the power for change. Pain and hurt and courage - mix them together and you see how far the OT4 have come since their humble days. How their bond is tested as well as the line that binds the pack. So much love - so much overflowing love. Just no words, except grateful that the hurt was not forever, and that their future was forever. 🤧🌟
I still do get slightly squeamish at the whole public sex thing! Yes, it does enhance their powers and impacts their shifting - 'that public sex was born in love, in a deep desire to be connected' - but I, personally, do feel a little uncomfortable and ashamed! It still does make for some great jokes amongst everyone and spurns everyone's libido into action, but I'd prefer all the action to be behind closed doors, thank you very much. ☺️ Although, I do love it when they become wolves - the way they're described, they sound so pretty. And uff, the overkill of Naran calling Lev and Sivney by their nicknames was a little too much! 😫 Especially names like babyface and firecracker - shudder - I don't think he ever addressed them by name, come to think of it.... But, yeah, that continuous usage at times spoiled my enjoyment of their chemistry at certain moments. 🙅🏻♀️
“I’ve never believed in fate and magic as much as I do now, and I intend to savor every minute of this wonderful thing called life.”
As we inch closer to the end of the series, we also get a glimpse of how just divided and torn the world has become over the traditional norms and the shift of a civil war brewing amongst the alpha and omega. 😥 There is trepidation and uncertainty of expanding their pack to further destinations that will ensure their safety, even if the risk is unfathomable for them. It is a test of courage and resilience that will ensure that their legacy will continue, as well as protect their loved ones from harm. It is built upon the level of love and trust and closeness that they've become a family that has them caring for each other's well-being. 🙏🏻
I feel sad though that a dynamic that has the potential for being the most intriguing one doesn't seem to have a book of its own...Heck, I thought they would be the next trio but alas, disappointment abounds. 😅 But, as much as it is hard to do the due diligence for each character, I do still appreciate how the author is doing their best to keep each name alive and their presence felt. 🤍🐺
This triad had the most different dynamics in the whole series. Again saying, Dominant Omega is my kink. Damn Sivney, I love you! And so does Naran & Lev 👀🥰.
The babies are so cute, plus the brotherly & familiar bonds amazing. I like we get other POVs too.
And, omg like omfg I cried so fucking much with the Palani being sick scenes. It broke my heart for our 4some. Like my heart was in a f'ing blender dammit. 😭😭😭
My heart couldn't have taken it, I actually read a page from 26 chap to assure myself there'd be a HEA. God dammit, it was so emotional. Our 4 have went through so much throughout the series, they're grown so much, I'm so attached to them. 🥺🥺
And Holy shit, we have a 2nd pack! Close to our 1st one, hehe neighbours. And I'm glad Rhene is the Pack Alpha, Siv 2nd in command. Like yay.
I'm excited to see where the last two book takes us! Especially as Maz & Lucan already seem like a couple, how Sando fits in? 🤔
Holy shit, this book broke me. Absolutely tore me apart, then decided I'd suffered enough so put me back together with so much love that I was left exhausted after finishing it.
The love that I have for Lidon and his three mates are what made this story the emotional powerhouse that it was. I was bawling my eyes out at one point and even had to take a break because I wanted to hold on to those emotions before I continued. I can't remember the last time I've cared about fictional characters this much. That subplot really hut me hard.
As for the main subjects of this book, Naran, Sivney, and Lev, I still don't know what to think of them. Their relationship dynamic is so strange to me and I don't necessarily dislike it but I can't say that I like it either. If Sivney were a real person he'd, very succinctly, inform me that whether I like it or not doesn't matter and I think too highly of myself to think that my opinion mattered or that I felt the need to share it, lol.
I've read the first seven books of this series, along with one novella, back to back and I'm a little burnt out so I'm going to take a break before I finish the last two. Aside from the two books that focused on Bray and his men I can honestly say that I don’t have anything truly negative to say about the series as a whole. It isn't perfect and I know that it won't be for everyone but for me it's turning out to be one of my favorite series.
John Solo does an absolutely phenomenal job narrating these books. The way he gives these characters such unique speaking styles and enhances their personality really made the story 10x more enjoyable. He read with so much heart and emotion that I honestly don't think I'd have enjoyed this nearly as much had I read it on my own. 5+ stars, for both the story and the narrator. 🖤
3.5 stars rounded up. Much, much better than Alpha's Obedience but there were still errors [breaks, really??], typos and weird sentence structures. Surely, decent beta readers should pick these things up??
Anyhoo, this story was not just about the new threesome, but included some pack history and also integrated new members until a potentially disastrous event takes place. Luckily, the True Omega finally comes to the fore and sorts things out with the help of baby Hakon. The Army have taken over and civil war is entirely possible.
I wanted to thump Nora when I read this one! No spoilers here though, I'll just say it's another excellent addition to the series which sees the tensions rising as a military coup takes over the nearby city.
Things are moving on a pace with all the various lovers and we get glimpses and snippets of all of them.
Enjoyed this installment. Looking forward to the next books in this series. Can we have an unexpected pregnancy? Will Mostyn and his men have their own book or will their story be integrated with the on going story line. So many possibilities. Can't wait!
I am so sad. When I started this series I would not read deliberately making my joy last longer, but this one....I had to force myself to finish it. I will not discuss the plot as I do not want to be the only crier. However, so much of “that” felt forced. And speaking of forced....can you say fated mates? Still not sure what I must have missed in back story. I feel that this was not Ms Phoenix’s plan for plot, but I could easily be wrong. It just feels too big, not the ranch, but the story itself. Ms Phoenix does best with character development, not far reaching world development. I was so excited for Sean’s story and I believe from page one of that book Ms Phoenix is trying too hard to do too much. I cannot praise those first books enough, but I no longer feel urgency to read RIGHT NOW.
PS baby spoiler I knew that Vieno was going to do that. Just glad Jawon stayed and we have closure for Dane.
Well, this definitely took a few turns I was not ready for. Talk about bawling. Geez. It’s also been such an incredible ride. If anyone keeps up with me, you know how I feel about the alpha/beta/omega roles. Everyone should be equal. Yet it’s the omegas that seem to get the most flack and are yet the strongest. But in this series we’ve seen a lot of things change from what would be the norm. And this one packs in even more surprises. And you’ve got to read to find out. This book continues to kind of center more around Lev, Sivney and Naran. It has everyone, don’t get me wrong. But it’s another important part to this series. The relationship between these three and the roles that they are taking. Like Enar, things for all three of them are different. The roles are not the same as everyone else. They actually are way, way different. And like the Lidon and his other three mates, these three had to figure out who fit where and how their roles were going to play out. But they also had to see how they fit with each other. Because everything that has happened to them, things were very different. And each had to figure out how they could satisfy each other and still be true to themselves. It took some work, but they managed. But while they were figuring out their places, other things were going on in the world and the pack. One vital member was dying and their all pretty sure an all out civil war is coming. But one other important thing was finally learned. And now they have to figure out how to go on after all this. And would the pack be the same? I will tell you now, if you have not read this one, bring lots of tissues. It will rip you in half. I never saw what was coming in this one. I wouldn’t have even dreamed of what came up. It was the most heartwrenching story, for me, of them all. But I have got to say, I’ve never been more happy for this pack. The way they are embracing everything. They way they are growing. Even the bad, scary stuff, it’s been amazing. I love how the lines of things are blurred. How the old ways are coming back and acceptance is so powerful. It doesn’t have to be one set way. It’s a combination of everything. And that makes them so much more powerful and a force to be reckoned with. I can’t say a whole lot. It would give so much away. But know this book is a major turning point in a lot of ways. The way things are finally coming to pass and happening, it’s been stunning to watch. And if you’ve not read this book or this series, you are seriously missing out on something special.
Every time I read a book in this series, I think to myself "it can't possibly get any better than this." And every time I read the next book I'm proven wrong. The thing that blew me away with Omega's Power is its intensity: the romance, world-building, action, and adventure were all so captivating. I could not put this book down once I started it. Out of all the books in this series, I think this one had the most equal balance of romance and "everything else". In some of the previous books I felt like the romance was all that happened, but that's not the case here. My reviews usually focus on the amazing relationships, steamy sex scenes, and characters learning to love themselves, but this time I'm most excited to talk about the overall storyline. So many important things happened in this book, and I feel like we're building up to an even more epic showdown later. For readers of the last book: yes, we do find out what's going on with Palani and yes, we do seet to some prophecies fulfilled about the True Omega. This book put me through an emotional roller-coaster. There were devastating diagnoses, heart warming romantic connections, and suspense-filled missions into the city that kept me reading as fast as I could to see what was going to happen next. I'm glad some chapters were written from characters besides Sivney, Lev, and Naran. Though these three are the romantic focus of the book, I appreciated getting a more well rounded picture of what was going on at the ranch.
I'm still processing everything that happened, because seriously, there's so much in this book. Overall, I highly recommend reading this one--it's incredible.
**I received an early copy of this book from Patreon. I am not obligated to post a review and all opinions are my own.**
I don’t know why but I only wrote a review to the 1st book of this series and I fucking love these books! Honestly, they are so good. I look back at my old prejudiced self who didn’t read mpreg and want to give her the stinky eye because now I love it.
This series is so good and deal with a lot of issues of consent and gender. It’s so much more than just shifters and mpreg. Not to mention that it’s fucking HOT. Pretty much every book is m/m/m. This one is a bit more kinky than the others and the damn book even made me cry and didn’t see it coming.
I seriously can’t wait for the next installment and when I was at GRL this year I asked Nora about them being made into audiobooks and she said it’s definitely happening and I couldn’t be happier.
That was priceless ❤️❤️ Loved every moment ❤️❤️ I had my heart broken when bray's brother died, that sweet sweet boy, my only relief is that he wasn't alone in his last moments 😭😭and I really really appreciate that the beta was taking care of him, even though it broke my heart that he had to see all those deaths and was helpless to save them 😣😣, I'm super worried about palani he is important and I hope he gets well soon 😭in all that book was full charge of emotions ❤️❤️❤️ and omg the bomb about mostryn being fated mate to isam and servas talk about epic 💣omg when palani died I felt my heart shattered in million pieces 💔and vieno, oh my god vieno, I swear I heard his howl and my heart soured ♥️ he brought him back, our true omega ❤️❤️
Consigliato 💖💖💖💖💖
yes thats the story I wanted so glad the 2nd part of sev naran and sivnye turned out great. I can't say anything without putting spoilers in but this had the action the angst the hurt and the happy bot for the main couple of this book as for the pack.
Sivney is my favorite character in the hightower pack books. He takes no shit, especially not from his men. I thought Lev's journey to admitting he didn't want to be an alpha was very sweet and I'm glad he's got such a strong Omega to take control for him.
Omegaverse/ mpreg/ shifterverse/ poly/ mmm/ Omega x Alpha x Alpha
This book was an emotional one for me. Yes there were a few tears and yes I thought the author had lost her mind and yes there were a few more tears.
I like the characters of Sivney, Naran, and Lev. They rival the original four for feelings invoked. Palani has always been a favorite in the series but Sivney has put his first place status in jeopardy.
And finally, yes, I realize I’ve said nothing about the book. I loved it, great writing, wonderful characters, and I can’t wait to see more of the world this author has created.
5++++++stars for another amazing addition to the Irresistible Omegas series. Noras storytelling has the ability to pull you in from the first page and keep you hooked till the end and leave you wanting more. Can’t wait to see whats to come next for the Hayes Pack❤️❤️
Best book of the series (though strangely my least favorite relationship). The plot of the book outside the romance is the strongest of the series, with one hell of an emotional punch that had me crying in public.
This author created one of the most obnoxious and irritating and rude characters Sivney and frankly I would’ve been really glad for him to get killed off instead of Jawon to begin with!! This trio was boring and obnoxious as fuck and the author made a really horrible decisions in a lot of the things that she did here, even in posing herself on the characters, which was glaringly obvious and felt quite manipulative, so she sabotaged and destroyed the last couple of books and that was obnoxious in and of itself!! But again really horrible and obnoxious decisions were made by the author that made the experience a shitty one, but also Sivney specifically is a fucking cunt, especially with how he acted toward rules and guidelines that the pack has stipulated!! I couldn’t stand this character!!
So the grammar need a little a lot of work … This author really needs to choose somebody better and whomever proofread the books up until this point might wanna ask the author to remove their name because it’s nothing to brag about!! With how horrible the grammar was in some places I would’ve expected the proofreader to want to remain anonymous!!
One more thing it feels like this author is going through a checklist of things that she needs to accomplish in her books so she can emphasize how fucking woke she is and it’s obnoxious as fuck!! It’s completely illogical in terms of the work in general and it doesn’t even make sense within the storyline, and so therefore like what the fuck!!?!! The way Palani reacted to something that Sivney said about everyone fucking right off if they had any problems with his relationship was so out of character and completely illogical and went completely against everything Palani stands for and everything that he and his mates have established within the pack!! This author gets way too involved in the characters in terms of how she manipulates them to do what she wants as opposed to simply letting the characters in the story flow! Her presence and character kinds of stomps through the story like a fucking proverbial bull in a china shop and it’s messy, sloppy, immature, lazy, illogical, irritating, obnoxious, and messed up!! Not to mention the point that this author is so incredibly crass and rude and insensitive about certain aspects like adoption or ableism!! This author made me angry lots of times throughout the books but she especially pissed the fuck out of me at this point!! I’ll bring up specific points later to emphasize and elaborate upon!!
P.S. The fact that Sivney was willing to move packs and leave, both in regard to his mates and in regard to the fact that he should have felt an allegiance and loyalty to the pack that took him in and saved his life, just makes me think that Sivney is an obnoxious piece of garbage!! And to know that we now have to tolerate him in the new series is obnoxious as fuck and I’m really angry at the author for that move! More to the point I think Jawon should’ve been spared and Sivney should’ve fucking been killed off, and nobody is going to change my mind in that regard! This fucking pisses me off!! Sivney should still get fucking killed off, because what waste of a character!! Also author stop trying to make fetch happen, because it’s not going to fucking happen! You keep trying to shove Sivney down the throats of readers calling him smart or intelligent and there’s absolutely no evidence of that, so enough with a manipulative antics! Though there was one assessment where someone called him smart and devious and half of that is true, Sivney isn’t smart, but he’s most definitely devious! Once again, Sivney is a fucking cunt!
Congratulations author, you went through the trouble of creating a shitty obnoxious garbage character who was rude, ungrateful, irritating, intrusive, obnoxious, loud, inconsiderate, self-centred, a shit-stirrer, aggravating, and just existed to fucking piss the reader off!! Congratulations author as if the real world doesn’t have enough of them, you created a fucking Karen in Sivney!! Through this authors manipulations, Sivney existed to be as obnoxiously woke as possible, And existed to create upheaval and discontent and irritation! Sivney is a massive Karen and I really want this character done away with … he was SUCH a fucking cunt!!! He was a Karen just to be a Karen and this author makes me so PISSED right now for doing what she did here and where she took this, because she kind of shits on everything she’s accomplished up until the point of Sivney!!
This has not been edited, proofread, or revised in anyway, so I will do that later!!
What to say or think about Lev, Naran & Sivney's relationship 🤔
I'm still in 2 minds about it, TBPH!
There were elements to their relationship that I did like, but some still left me uneasy...
I can't say that I'm a fan of the sharing of nicknames 🫤
The biggest issue for me, was that Lev was never consulted about the kinks... Naran would state what he liked & yes, I'm aware that they'd had a previous relationship, but it still felt skewey to me... get it from the horse's mouth!
I think the much anticipated bottoming scene (for me) should've been used to bolster Lev's confidence & to show him that he wasn't the only one, instead of how it went down... it didn't have the desired effecf for me, in fact I wasn't really a fan of it!
I'm kinda struggling with the sexual politics that the author is going for... it's a little bit all over the place!
Alphas top & if any Alphas bottom, it's now been heavily implied that they only do so because they have a "shifter (gender)" identity crisis, whilst the author is simultaneously trying to preach that Shifter roles are outdated & it's a lot more fluid than Society believes... yet, Alphas can't just bottom for the enjoyment of it... it's all because they don't identify with their Alpha identity. 🤔
Also, I don't think.it was necessarily the author's intent, but a lot of what happens does come across as it only happening that way because of Naran's disability... but I gotta say that I LOVED that there was no easy solution besides acceptance... no magic wand cure to be had 👍👍
I really liked Sivney until he neglected his nursing duties to Naran because he was throwing a strop... he kinda lost my respect after that & more often than not, he demanded things from others that he himself wasn't able to reciprocate...
Lev was an absolute sweetie pie & my heart broke a million times for him & also Naran... I think their relationship with each other took a massive back step when Sivney joined them... far too much focus was on Sivney, IMO! It would've been different if we had been privy to Naran & Lev's previous relationship, but as we're being told about it at the same time that Sivney, it should've been more balanced IMO!
There's a far too much telling rather than showing as well, which is odd considering that most couples so far have had 2 books each.
Sorry, but even after 8 books, I'm still not actually sold on the original foursome... it still feels like 2 distinct couples who swing & that was even more apparent with Palani's fall.
Lidon & the SEOmega (I can't stand him), stood by & did nothing until Palani came to & Vieno's outburst felt like it was more about his son than because he really cared about the man who saved his life.
Because without Palani, he would've either died or sold off to the rapist Alpha by his parents... he owes so much more loyalty to Palani than he displays.
& HATE how the author ALWAYS makes Enar the afterthought, the 4th wheel & the least important of the group, because again, without Enar, the Selfish, Egotistical Omega (SEO) would've died & Enar was the one who had to sacrifice both of his relationships with Lidon & Palani... he deserves so much better than he gets from Lidon & the SEO, the only real love I see that Enar gets is from Palani, who is his rock!
However, the question remains... What DOES Lidon actually do?
Omega’s Power An MMM Mpreg Romance (Irresistible Omegas, Book 8) By: Nora Phoenix Narrated by: John Solo
Nora Phoenix continues to wow me with her awesome “Irresistible Omegas” series! She is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, there is a natural flow to the story and her descriptive details bring you in right along side the characters allowing you to experience what they are seeing, thinking and feeling. The fascinating characters and world she created are original and imaginative, they continue to develop and grow. This book picks right up after the last with Naran, Lev and Sivney bonding and putting their differences aside, in this book their relationship strengthens even more and we see who they really are as they open up to each other. Sivney lives up to his nickname the firecracker, Lev is finds his happy place and Naran is happy with the way things are with the three of them. We also learn why Palani has not been feeling well, he could not longer hide it from his mates. I won’t say much about it but I was hoping he was pregnant, but it turns out to be something else and it just gutted me. The situation outside of the ranch is getting more volatile, pack members witnessed the destruction in the city and saw the troops taking over. Lidon and the rest of the pack need to be prepared for when they come for them, not if but when. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, some angst, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Nora Phoenix thank you for another awesome story & emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧And for the amazing narration, John Solo is a talented voice artist and an entertaining storyteller. He continues to bring these characters to life, humanizing them, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. He has a complete understanding of who the character are, takes each role and plays it with perfection. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures all the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. Thank you for another awesome listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your work.
Yet another fantastic addition to the Irresistible Omegas series! We start where we left off with Sivney, Naran and Lev starting a relationship. One of my favourite things about this series is how Nora writes the Alpha, Beta and Omega characters. They don't stick within their societal norms, breaking free and just being who they are meant to. In this book Sivney is an omega but has no qualms about standing up to others in the pack when he is defending himself or others, has ideas or questions. Lev on the outside is seen as an alpha but within himself he is so unsure as he bounces between feeling all three. Naran has has a lot happen to him recently and as an alpha struggles with his new physical limitations and where his place is in the pack and triad going forward. On the outside of the pack, there is so much going on. A coup that is bringing a heavy military presence into the city. When events with a couple of members in the pack lead to them having to venture into the city, there is so much going on. Tension and drama as they make sure to evade the enemy and stay safe. A couple of times even brought tears to my eyes as emotions run high and people's lives are on the line. Whilst we focus on Naran, Lev and Sivney's relationship and POV's, we also check in on occasion with others we've read before including the main foursome who go through a hell of a lot in this book. There is a huge amount of worry for Palani as his health comes into question following on from book 6 and the pack truly comes together in support and love. It's a full rollercoaster ride right from the start!! The pack is moving forward, progressing to make the most of the land and people they have. All of the characters involved in this story developed so much within themselves and also as pack members. Their communication is brilliant as they interact and make decisions as a pack. It's exciting to read where they will go moving forward, especially with everything going on on the outside. Definitely recommended reading, you have to read this series! They are books that have to be read in order as there's any overall series story arc. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review
1. Once again it's all about Palani! It's unfortunate with what happened to him but is Vieno, the true omega's worth only that, to save Palani? And I'm quite disturbed that Lidon only cared about Palani when he came back from the dead and straight up dismissed Vieno for wanting some attention/affection. It's like Vieno has amounted to only being a sex crave omega and can only have it during his heat. How about some appreciation for saving Palani?!?! I have never seen an omega be so unused and worthless in a story. I wouldn't of had an issue with this if it wasn't always Lidon and Palani. We get more of Enar but he's still kept mostly on the sidelines as far as their relationship dynamic goes. It has come to a point where Vieno and Enar are coupled together which is quite sad. There's too much imbalance here with this foursome; no relationship development other than Lidon and Palani.
2. As for the "main" couple: for a second book, we rarely got any development. They were super formal and distant with each other and then all of a sudden they're throwing out the L word halfway in this book. They dynamic of this couple is so bizarre, I don't even know what to say. I'm dissapointed with the ending. I feel like they got nowhere or at least are still at the early stage of their relationship. I wished there was a bit of wrap up considering how many book's left.
3. It's about time someone put the pack in place with their dumb, you have to ask permission to date, rule.
4. I honeslty feel bad for Naran and the neglect he gets from the pack. He was in this mess because of them. Other than his mates, noone bothers to find ways to save Naran. I understand Palani's situation was different but noone batted an eye when it came to saving him. But Naran's left to just deal with his unfortunate situation alone.
5. There were way to many POVs/couples in this book. I had trouble figuring out who's POV it was most of the time and took a couple of reread to figure it out. Plus, there was a lot going on in this book.
At this point, I'm finishing this series to just finish it.

Whole series is good, or I wouldn't have read it, but the one major problem I have with all of the books is the number of errors. All kinds of errors! Some fixable just by hitting spell check, others by grammar check. The rest I would think that those beta readers should have caught, unless they themselves are operating with less than a sixth grade education, ok eighth grade at most. I sincerely hope that actual middle school students aren't being used due to the adult content. Also, as much as I respect and admire our ESOL students, proofreading manuscripts should only be used as a learning tool at the end of their educations when most of them will no doubt be reading at an arguably higher level than most American high school graduates.
If you've read my rant before, I apologize, but it seems as if a repeat is necessary. I wish I could say that this lack of proofreading is something that is only found in Self published books, etc. but it isn't. It's just as prevalent in the major publishing houses as well. It's one of the reasons I quit purchasing ink and paper books. It's aggravating to spend twenty-five or more dollars on first edition books only to discover copious errors riddled throughout the pages. I've been sorely tempted on numerous occasions to take a red pen to said books and mail them back demanding an explanation as to how all of the errors that I managed to catch and probably several others that I didn't managed to make it into the final published editions.
