Everyone at Ryder High knows what it means to have a teal envelope taped to their locker on the first of the month. This month is different. This month belongs to Max Newman. Prankster, jokester, overall funny guy. And the first student to ever receive a teal envelope from a girl. The Secret Admirers organization switched things up. They allowed a girl to be the admirer, and Max is about to make history. One problem—he only has three weeks to complete an entire bingo board. Some of the things on it are out of his control. Some things are right up his alley, though, like serenading the principal and pranking his best friend. Will Max finish the bingo board and get the reveal location? Or will he become the first guy at Ryder High to fail his challenge?
Danielle Keil grew up and spent the majority of her life in the Chicagoland area. A recent transplant, she is enjoying the Mississippi life, especially the pool in her backyard. Danielle is happily married for over 10 years, and has two young children, a daughter and a son, who are exact replicas of her and her husband.
Danielle's love language is gifts, her Ennegram is a 9w1, and she loves everything purple. The way to her heart is through coffee, chocolate and tacos (extra guac).
OH. MY. MAX!! I have waited so long for his book! Danielle might have saved him for last…but she did NOT disappoint. The twists & turns in the plot kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the secret admirer was. While it took me a while to figure out who the SA was, the way they revealed themselves was perfect. I highly recommend this fantastic series. Now, the anticipation begins on what Danielle’s next series will be.
Oh Max, my favorite Ryder High guy since the start, how I adore thee! That golden retriever energy is just unmatched. I was so happy for this installment! I'm so pleased with the twists and turns this book took me on. Getting to ride on his shoulders as he went through the teal envelope process was everything! The perfect end to this super fun YA series. Loved it!
Every time I read another book from the Love Notes series, I decide it’s my new favourite, but this one definitely takes the cake!
Max is so exciting to read, and we’ve been waiting all series for his happily ever after. To see it now with the person he dreamed for it to be… to say I was squealing is an understatement!
Thank you for another amazing story! This book kept me hooked from beginning to end!
OMG! I absolutely loved Max's story. Max has been a favorite character simply because he is that friend that will be there for you when you need him. I loved that Danielle Keil did a switch up and had the girl be the secret admirer.. Max was the perfect guy to receive the teal envelope. I agonized with Max as he tried to figure out his clues. I laughed at his prank, and his random act of kindness made me cry. I was so happy for Max and his secret admirer. If you love good wholesome teen romance, read The Love Notes Series.
Love Notes series: To enjoy this series you just have to accept the premise that there is a secret society which organizes this secret admirer game and that most of the teenage boys want to participate and that most of the girls wish to receive a letter. Especially for the boys I find that hard to believe, but like I said - just accept it and move on. You also have to accept that there are a lot of boys with a crush on a girl and they just wait for their turn to be the secret admirer instead of making a move on their own. Considering they can only participate in their junior and senior year and the game sometimes pauses for summer break, there are at maximum 24 months and A LOT more boys who want the spot. So that’s another really unrealistic part, but the books just don’t make sense if you don’t accept this. I was quite annoyed with this - in some books more than others - but I tried to forget that it’s kind of a stupid concept to pine silently away for your crush, to wait up to two years for your turn and never do something on your own. If you can look past that, the series is kinda cute. Some books are very enjoyable, others I really really didn’t like. But for all of them - I repeat myself - you HAVE to accept the premise.

I was actually pretty disappointed after reading this book. Before I was looking forward to Max’s story, even though I hoped his admirer wouldn’t be who I thought she was. But of course, book 10 is as predictable as the others when it comes to the not so secret part of the secret admirer… So I already didn’t like the girl from previous books and she didn’t really warm to me in this one.
I’m also not the biggest chance of second chance romance and for two teens this serious of a relationship after a break of about 2 years just seems a bit unrealistic.
It didn’t really make sense that they changed the rules so a girl could be an admirer and the bingo game was kind of stupid and lame.
So the 3 stars are actually for Max because after Owen he was my favorite guy character in the series.
If you are following me you know how much I adore this series, so the moment I knew there is a ew book I jumped on and read it .. sadly, it wasn't my cup of tea In this book the tables will be turned, where max gets a girl secret admirer, never before was there a girl secret admirer and he has a month to figure out who she is .. the story heavly revolves bingo game, and as a person who doesn't know anything about the game I was lost and bored, also the grand reveal was really underwhelming because I don't like second chance romance .. I will still read any more books in the series but this one wasn't for me
This review is more of a review of the series as a whole. I absolutely LOVE this series! ❤️ It was such a pleasure to read, they were so sweet, fun, suspenseful, and also emotional in the right places. I loved every single book and they put a smile on my face. And for this one in particular, it was such a lovely conclusion to the series. I loved Max from his first appearance and his book did not disappoint, I loved seeing his journey and happy ending!
So sad to see the series end. Max is a total prankster & the life of any party. It will take a special girl to keep up with Max. I did like the premise of the guy getting the letter. The only let down I had with the book is I felt the reader was introduced to the admirer to soon. The speculation was there . I just love the element of a total surprise .
These are cute teeny bopper series…this one had a twist from the start. A girl chose a guy and this was the first time it’s ever been done this way. When you read the back story on how it all began it all seems to make sense.
If you like cute series, then you should give this one a try.
This is my least favorite out of the whole series! I did not like max’s personality at all! He was incredibly juvenile and self centered. I couldn’t related to his problems as their were quickly solved. I’m glad a boy got a real envelopment but he didn’t deserve it.
Seeing the month played out from a guys perspective was a wonderful addition to this series. Max has been an almost constant character throughout this series and to have the series end with his story was perfect!
Dear Max, the laugh of Ryder High this month it's your chance to shine brighter then you already do. One lovely lady picked you to forever change the history with our game, so have fun, enjoy and hope you are happy at the end of these 3 weeks. Having a teal envelope go to a guy indeed of a girl was out of the normal but it's still fun for all involved. Max was thrilled about his envelope, his ego inflated just a bit more, and then he found out he only had 3 weeks to blackout his bingo board and get his clues. But Max hopes that the girl behind this month is the one who got away who he has never stopped loving, but he can't get his hopes up incase it's not her. Omg I loved Max's month laughing so hard, enjoy all that he was giving defiantly a great one to end this series.
I enjoyed this to an extent. It was cool having the roles switched and Max getting the letter as opposed to another girl but honestly I felt the ending was a little disappointing. Mainly because I don’t like second chance romances and this turned out to be that
