A great story for preschoolers!

I like this story for preschoolers because:
1) it is an easy story for them to learn to tell after hearing it just a couple times
2) the illustrations are simple, but great visuals for young children and the accompany and tell the story without complicating the story
3) it helps children think about their emotions (which is a very, very tough issue for many preschoolers)
4) it has leading questions which the adult reader can use to engage the children with more discussion about emotions s
5) its a fun story!! Share it with the preschoolers in your life (home or classroom)

teaching on emotions

This is one of the best books I have seen on teaching emotion. It gives examples of various situations and emotions a young child encounters. Then, it gives examples of the response a child may have in response to the emotion. Each emotion is represented by a color so the book also serves to teach colors. Last, but not least , the characters are colorful to maintain a young child’s attention.

This book is a great tool to train the speech for little ones. The story is build around a little kangaroo that changes his colors as he feels different emotions,it is very interactive and encourages kids to answer some questions as they read the story. I loved reading How does Bunjee feel? with my son(5 y.o.).

How does Bunjee Feel? Is a well written feelings’ picture book by author and speech pathologist, Hosie C. Mott and beautifully illustrated by Gary Vaux. Children will enjoy that this is a flip book and this is a great book to discuss feelings with students. I highly recommend this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Teaches colors

I really like the way that different colors are compared to moods. The author uses minimal wording in the story.

Toddler Approved

My toddler loves this book so much, the lift flap is always a favorite (we own the board book). My toddler has a speech delay so having this book has been great tool to teach her feelings. She recently dropped her ice cream like Bunjee does and she verbally said “sad” then proceeded to show the expression of her sadness. We also bought the finger puppets which as another great tool. Can’t say enough great things about this book! I hope to see more by this speech therapist!!!
