Tripp Patton is not the guy you take home to meet your mom.
He is the number one sports agent in the world, and he didn’t get there by playing nice. On the verge of signing the biggest player of his career, someone gets in his way.
Lennon Edwards, a younger agent trying to make a name for herself. She’s hungry for success, relentless, and drop-dead gorgeous.
As the two go to war, attraction finds its way into the equation. Will Tripp crush Lennon’s hope or be the man of her dreams?
Alex hails from the Midwest and currently resides in New Orleans.
He enjoys writing steamy romance but more importantly he enjoys the “research” required to produce the steamy scenes. If you like filthy-mouthed, possessive alpha heroes and steamy romance, you’ve come to the right place!
What is it with giant Aholes that makes them so attractive in books? I've been busting my brains trying to figure out how I wouldn't give him a time of day in real life but in books? Bring it on!
And this duo really knows how to write an engaging, funny, can't-put-it-down kinda book. Tripp and Lennon have more in common than they care to admit. They know it's not smart to spend time together but they can't seem to stay away. The whole fighting for the same player to sign does not help their relationship whatsoever. But when things come to a breaking point both will have to dig deep to see if having it all is worth it if they don't have each other.
Another great story to add to this amazing series!
I was given the opportunity to read this book before it was release. This book was a HOMERUN. Enemy to lovers with a happily ever after ending. I jumped into this book with both feet not having read anything from either Sloane Howell or Alex Wolf. I am fish hooked. Lennon and Tripp are competing sport agents to sign up the same baseball player. The banter and imagination between the two make me get all excited like the thrill of trying to catch a foul ball. Will they or won't they make that catch. I see in the future some more books especially some of the minor characters.
Tripp & Lennon got all of the romance bases covered and then some. The enemies to lover, the competition between the two, the banter, and the romance all hits the spot. I loves how self aware Lennon was. She was a strong heroine and her wit was everything. Tripp fall does not disappoint. The duo produced a page turner that will have you engaged and smiling at all the cool references.
Having read all the books in the Cocky Suits series and they get better and better if that’s possible, Sloane Howell & Alex Wolf have the Alpha A** down to a tee, so I knew going in, that this would be another great read but OMG they outdid themselves.
This enemies to lovers genre in the sports world - two competing sports agents - has not only a great storyline but the LOL moments were plentiful as the kicka$$ female lead Lennon - gave as much back to Tripp as he threw at her, the banter just kept flowing. Yes Tripp could be an arrogant d**k but you can’t help but love him as his interactions with Lennon were so damn funny, the put downs were on fire - Lennon definitely doesn’t hold back. And as for the attraction between these two, it was 🔥🔥🔥!
One thing I love about Sloane and Alex’ writing of this series, is that you always get a glimpse of characters from the other books in the series’ so you get the full world building in each and every book.
Without a doubt ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
Tripp is the latest installment in The Cocky Suits world. And I do believe Tripp has claimed the top spot. This man, he just quite simply fits the bill of sale for ultimate book boyfriend. Move over fellas, there’s a new guy in town and he’s just hit a grand slam! 🔥🔥🔥
Tripp Patton is at the top of his game in sports representation. Successful, confident, a smoke show, and he knows how to own it. But one miscalculation and has him striking out, big time. Except Tripp keeps on swinging.
Lennon Edwards is the rookie sports rep in town. She’s young, eager, and willing to work hard for her new company. And her success is dependent on the hottest thing baseball has experienced in years. Except she’s in competition with the biggest firm around. And its owner is brilliant, sexy, and infuriating…just like any enemy should be lol.
Tripp and Lennon literally and figuratively fall together. It’s dangerous in more ways than one. Both want the same client, both want the other. What price is each willing to pay for success and love?
I loved the fire that Lennon possessed. She was a formidable opponent. And Tripp, oh my, I completely understand how Lennon fell for his Alpha nature, commanding and yet protective when needed. Add in a few moments with the Collins’ family for some laughs and this story is a definite 5 ⭐️ read.
I think Tripp and Lennon have become two of my favorite couples this year!
Anytime I see that Sloane and Alex have written another book together, I get excited because I know it’s gonna be a good time. They always bring us the perfect amount of laughs and spice that you’ll keep coming back for more each and every single time.
With this book, they start as as enemies with them both being sports agents and competing against each other for signing the same athlete.
Tripp has been around as an agent for a while and has the experience as an agent but Lennon is new to the agent business but she does know her stuff. I love the banter between Tripp and Lennon from their first run in, literally, to the very end. Between that and the spice in this, I know I will go back for another read of it real soon. I also enjoyed the fact that both characters are sports agents because most sports romances have one of the characters being the athlete and the other an average person who falls in love with the jock. This is a fresh take on the sports romance books and I have to say that I love it. It’s unique and different for this trope, at least that I know of because I haven’t read many with this particular style before, and I hope they turn this into a series!
Another great book in the Cocky Suits world! This writing duo just keeps hitting home runs. Tripp is best friends with Dexter Collins from playing baseball in college which connects the series. Tripp is the top sports agent in the country along with his friend and business partner Ryan. Lennon is just starting out as a sports agent and both Tripp and Lennon are trying to sign the biggest free agent with the explosive future in baseball. This contract will catapult Lennon’s new agency if she can sign Owen. Tripp and Lennon go head to head and these enemies turn lovers but you will laugh a lot at their banter and the internal conversations the each have. Lennon’s best friend, mother and sister are great for laughs as well. Lennon is very head strong and not afraid to fight for what she wants. I love the pop ins from characters from previous books especially the involvement towards the end. It’s a great reminder of previous books.
A new book by Sloane Howell & Alex Wolf - yes please. Tripp takes us nicely back into the Cocky Suits universe, where the men are slick & the women are feisty. Tripp & Lennon the perfect enemies to lovers, it has everything you want - brilliant banter, a spark that ignited , but you’ll be cheering for Lennon the whole way through. Loved the characters, love the sports & who doesn’t love a Collins brother
In another Cocky Suits book by the two funniest authors we get Tripp and Lennon. Yikes is probably the best way to describe the first meeting. I definitely had mixed feelings about it because I wasn’t impressed by Lennon at all. Yes Tripp made a mistake and apologized. She hated him on principle and believes she deserves the big win without putting in the work and in the real world that’s not reality male or female. So down the path they go attraction is off the charts and both Tripp and Lennon need to learn how to have perspective because at times both are right and both are not. The question is can they both become better versions of themselves.
The authors writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell have brought us another enemies to lovers Romance. Taking place in the cocky suits world this one is as great as the rest
Tripp Patton is one half of the biggest sports agency around. Patton and Parker is huge in signing star athletes. They take no prisoners and get their clients the best of everything. When Tripp has his eye on one of the biggest names in baseball in this time he'll stop at nothing to sign Owen Holmes.
Lennon Edwards is a freshly new to the business of being a sports agent. Starting her own company and ready to make her way in the mostly male-dominated profession, she knows all there is to know about baseball and can probably recite stats better than any man in the business. She does her research she goes all out. She is focused, she's determined and she is fierce. Making her way in the world of Sports agencies to bring her business the clientele that will put her on the map she'll do anything! Almost... She has her sights set on Owen Holmes as well. This competition is going to have fireworks if not ending up in an all-out Chernobyl explosion.
Lennon and Tripp collide literally and figuratively. Lennon knows who he is and when he finds out she's trying to snag the talent that he's after he tries to intervene, but soon the chemistry and Sparks are there. He’s smitten, mesmerized by everything about her. Her feistiness, her attitude. He loves to bicker with her getting her all riled up gives him a thrill and she loves it too you can tell. Then the unexpected feelings of that spark between them is off the charts fire. These feelings can't be ignored but when a type of sabotage happens their lives implode and Tripp has to find a way to get her back. So being that Decker Collins is one of his best friends he goes to him for advice and to my absolute thrill they bring in the big guns. None other than the romance King himself Dexter Collins! Wooohoooo! Hold onto your hearts, because this one is a a testament to how great Dexter's romantic gesture advice really is!
Tripp is a standalone in the cocky suits universe that gives us some of the original cocky suits Chicago characters and you love every minute. You are completely and utterly invested in this entire story. You feel like you have front row seats to the World Series of all enemies to lovers sports romances.
Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell knocked it out of the ballpark and hit the warehouse with this one. I loved every word, every minute, every page!
I was very excited to hear that Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell had teamed up to write again! Their books are always so entertaining and Tripp was no exception!
Tripp Patton and Lennon Edwards are both sports agents and they are looking to sign the same all-star baseball player, Owen. Tripp has been in the game longer than Lennon and so he has experience and the backing of a large agency behind him. Lennon on the other hand is just getting started. There is no doubt she knows her stuff, but as a one woman show, she doesn't have the same resources that Tripp does.
The run-in, literally, that Tripp and Lennon have when they first meet sets us up for all of the banter and chemistry we see throughout the rest of the book. These two are trying to figure out how to handle one another since they should want nothing to do with one another given they are competing to sign the same athlete, but they can't seem to stay away from one another. What will give in the end - their relationship or signing Owen?
The chemistry abounds in the book along with the banter that Howell and Wolf are known for. Lennon was a strong woman, which I loved and she wasn't afraid to put Tripp in his place! Tripp on the other hand learned a lot about himself as we moved through the book, which I liked too. Overall, this one is worth picking up!
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
Tripp Patton is a top sports agent whose life is consumed by work which consists of baseball, baseball and more baseball that is until he slams into a beautiful woman while catching a foul ball at an Orioles game. What he didn't know at the time is she's trying to sign Owen Holmes his client that contract is ending. Lennon Edwards is a brand new sports agent and wants her first client to be Baltimore's star player Owen Holmes. She is determined, knowledgeable, fiesty and speaks her mind but knows she'll have an uphill battle against Tripp and his firm. Their first meeting was one for the record books. Talk about back and forth banter so thick you would have to cut through it with a knife. You could feel the tension, sparks and fiery possibilities brewing. I loved how Tripp's whole attitude changed as he found his match with Lennon. The banter back and forth between them and all the characters was spot on and made the storyline flow beautiful. There was just the right amount of drama, angst and competition between them to keep the storyline interesting and fun.
I received an ARC from the authors and I'm voluntarily leaving my review.
If you are a sports and baseball fan you will love this story. I played baseball as a kid and so I appreciated the baseball chat and storyline. Lennon is a blossoming sports agent after the biggest shortstop in the league. Tripp is a seasoned sports agent and already has worked with Owen, the star ball player. The two agents meet in the locker room and they immediately feel a spark but they are after the same guy for their business success. These two are laugh-out-loud funny, the banter is nearly constant and the sparks are extremely combustible! They know they should stay away from each other but who said love and war were easy? "most gorgeous man alive who sets my nerve endings on fire just by looking into my eyes. He was nothing but a major-distraction..." "I wish I could live in that state of blissful ignorance." "I like who we are together." "There aren't enough people like her in my life who challenge me, hold me accountable." I could go on and on with quotes, what are you waiting for, you need to read Tripp and Lennon's book.
Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf hit it out of the park with Tripp: A Cocky Suits Novel. The witty banter which encapsulates Tripp Patton and Lennon Edwards is brilliantly penned. It wouldn't be a Howell and Wolf experience without the rich allusion references.
The truth behind Howell and Wolf sailing that ball over the back wall resides in the push and pull between the dynamic characterization they build between Tripp and Lennon. Watching these two develop over the course of their story leaves the reader with a vast array of emotions. One special gift Howell and Wolf leave the readers with is not knowing exactly who to root for as both characters come ready to play ball.
Tripp with two "p"s because this man lingers!!!! Sexy and plenty of tension, Tripp and Lennon are the perfect sparring partners. Their jabs on point and ratchet up the tension until it's so thick the reader is about to explode!
Yes, sir! I'd beg for more of these two but you don't have to!
The dynamic duo Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell do it again in this amazing novel, Tripp. This has been my favorite one yet.
They set the scene beautifully right on the first few pages. You're immediate already somewhat enamored with the budding (or should I say fiery) relationship between Lennon and Tripp. Lennon is an extremely strong female lead that keeps Tripp on his toes.
If you like enemies to lovers you are going to love this one. If you haven't had a chance to try it yet, definitely take this one for a spin.
Alex and Sloane did it again, another book that sucks you right in from the first page and doesn't let go until the very end.
Trip is the perfect enemies to lover read. Lennon and Trip are competing sports agents who both want to represent the biggest baseball player in the league. But little do they know this little completion will turn into more.
If you're looking for a sports, enemy to lovers, Rome on trope with amazing character chemistry then this is a book for you.
The push and pull in this one is great... When you have two people with attraction but are competing for the same goal, it makes for a good story.
Lennon and Tripp push eachother to the limits just to pull back to eachother... The banter between these two will make you laugh and love them. They both have a lot of passion for what they do... Too bad they aren't on the same team!
You get a sweet HEA with this one and steam in between... I enjoyed this story and the love these two have for eachother!
Tripp and Lennon story is so good from how they meet and find out they both are competing to sign the same baseball player to the sparks that fly between them .... This story line is so good I couldn't put it down
This dynamic duo knocked it out of the park with another incredible read. I really enjoyed reading about Tripp and Lennon. Such a great story that kept my attention the entire time.
Ah! Baseball! The roar of the crowd, the crack of the bat, the spilling of the beer. And that is how it started. Tripp, reaching out to catch a foul ball, bumped into Lennon, causing her to trip (no pun intended) and spill her beer, soaking her Orioles jersey. Things do not go well. They are both agents seeking to sign Owen, a hot ball player, Tripp to re-sign and Lennon stretching to an extremely high level to sign her first client. Tripp is immediately smitten with Lennon, she, not so much, and he has to work to convince her to go on a date with him. But Lennon is skeptical of Tripp and does not fall under his spell, thinking he might have an ulterior motive to cause her to lose her chance with Owen.
Lennon is a strong woman who has stepped into a vocation that is dominated by men. She shows her courage by never backing down from Tripp in her fight to sign Owen. But when he starts to woo her, her strength falters, and she starts to doubt herself. She has that devil sitting on one shoulder egging her on and the angel on the other telling her to hold back. A very confident Tripp soon realizes that he wants to help Lennon snag this fantastic ball player and he doesn’t care if he loses out to her. But, like so many other relationships, there is a miscommunication; angry words are spoken, true though they may be, and soon, the thrill of the chase, the high of the victory, could be the shared despair of defeat.
This book, for me, had the most romantic, the most seductive kiss everrrr! “Then he catches my bottom lip between his, drawing it in, brushing the tip of his tongue over it.” How sexy is that? This is pure porn but in words! I did not need a camera to see how this played out. I just needed the tantalizing and arousing words, the figurative language of that first kiss to establish the mood and meaning in that text. It was pure bliss and erotically mind-blowing.
There were so many good things in this book: intense yet playful banter; colourful characters who reveal their identities slowly like the peeling of an onion; a style that is simple yet complex, and very intense and provocative sex scenes. These two guys are masters at using their words to weave a magical spell that charms and captives the reader, drawing us into their world of emotion and conflict.
I especially loved Palmer. She is kind of loopy but honest, a solid friend. When she reasons, she makes Lennon see the true picture. And I love Decker. He is a true curmudgeon, plodding along trying to find things, being miserable, yet able to steer Tripp to come to terms with his feelings for Lennon.
I love this book. In my opinion, “Tripp” is a home run for Howell and Wolf; their best yet! “I want people to expect more from me because I expect more. If you don’t set goals high, you’re not trying.” – Todd Helton.
Question: What happens when Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell once again collaborate in their Cocky Suits universe? Answer: A smokin' hot, passionate, hilarious, fun-filled story with two characters who are just as good at sparring as they are hot between the sheets?
Tripp Patton is the #1 sports agent, Lennon Edwards is the new girl on the block, both are competing to represent Owen Holmes who is currently the biggest and hottest man in baseball. Their first meeting can only be described as a mess, however after their second it would become may the best agent win. Both are fierce and determined to get Owen to sign no matter the cost. Somewhere along the way their competitiveness turned into something else ... chemistry, attraction and desire.
Tripp is attracted to everything about Lennon, her looks, determination, fierceness, and snark, while Lennon tries to brush him off but realizes she's fighting a losing battle, because she too feels the sparks that have ignited between them. I loved the relationship that evolved between them, their banter was awesome and hilarious, their heated schmexy times were off the charts, the strength Lennon showed as a woman in a 'mas's world', and Tripp's protectiveness toward her. But nothing ever runs smoothly, and Tripp must do some heavy grovelling, and to do that it's only natural to call in Dexter Collins, Mr. Romance Extraordinaire.
TRIPP was another great read from Alex and Sloane, they never fail to deliver the laughs and the schmexyness. Just like Owen hit the ball out of the ballpark, so too did Alex and Sloane with this story. An absolute MUST READ.
Tripp and Lennon are rival sports agents trying to sign the same client. From their memorable meet cute to the absolutely delightful conclusion, their story knocked it out of the park.
“There aren’t enough people like her in my life, people who challenge me, hold me accountable.”
Lennon was a spirited woman who was determined to build a successful sports agency, but her ambition sometimes caused her to take on more than she could handle. Tripp was the arrogant, established sports agent who was used to winning. Lennon knocked him on his feet from their first meeting. I loved watching them both learn how to navigate their feelings while also competing against each other. It was so much fun.
“If it’s so good you can’t quantify it, why would you ever let go of it?”
Chemistry sizzles between these two from their first encounter and both can’t stop thinking about the other. I loved their push and pull relationship and their snappy banter. They were both a lot alike so their fiery temperaments caused a lot of friction and conflict.
“When I’m with her, I don’t want to be anywhere else, I don’t want to think of anything else.”
Full of heat, heart, and humor, Tripp was a homerun for me. Both are strong characters who had a lot of personality and fire and the whole story was just a lot of fun. I absolutely loved the epilogue and hope to see more stories from this world in the future.
I love the Cocky Suits world, and there hasn't been a single book that I haven't loved. Now, I can add Tripp to that list. This one is set in the Cocky Suits world, but it can certainly be read as a standalone. Fair warning, though, be prepared for the investment of time it will take to read them all because once you've met any of the characters, you'll want to meet them all. This one brings us Tripp and Lennon, and from the first fiery meeting to the big redeeming gesture (come on, you know he's gonna mess up), this pair has sparks flying - the kind of sparks depends entirely on the moment. Whether they're going head-to-head as rivals or generating enough heat to set the curtains on fire, this pair definitely keeps it interesting. And hot! Seriously hot! We also get to visit a bit with a couple of past favorites in the Cocky Suits world. Don't worry, this one is still a standalone, but if you have read the rest of the books, it's always nice to catch up with beloved characters. The backdrop for Tripp is the baseball diamond, with Lennon and Trip competing to sign the same star baseball player. A totally lovable star baseball player, and after what happens in this one, I'm really hoping to see him get his own book. So, once again, Alex and Sloane have knocked it out of the park with an enemies-to-lovers, chemistry-filled romance. From the wit and sarcasm to the steamy goodness, Tripp is everything I've come to expect from this duo, and I'm excited to see what's next.
Being a sports agent has been the dream job for Lennon as long as she could remember. The only person is stopping this from becoming a reality is the one and only Tripp Patton. This man knows his stuff, learned it all from the best but still he sees a new agent and thinks she is dreaming big, start small and build up to the big leagues.
Now you know telling that to a strong, stubborn lady like Lennon is not going to welcome advice for sure. From the way they first met oh boy, you just know it’s going to an epic novel that you can’t put down. I took my time reading this so I could savor this one. You won’t be disappointed at all.
The magnetic pull they have for one another is something special, what really grabs you is the fun banter and movie lines that reels you in. the balance that Lennon and Tripp have for one another just gives you the warm and fuzzies. The heat, well you already know that it’s off the charts. The cherry on top of it all, the Collins brothers are never far from it all and Dex is there to same it all.
I want more, greedy as I am I want to see Tripp and his tripplets, I think it would be a hot melt your panties kind of scene to see him with his own kids.
This one has lots of tension with the characters. He's a bit cocky, as he should be where his career is concerned. She's still wet behind the ears, but is feisty and has the confidence she needs to succeed in their field. Of course they are enemies/rivals, and all that 'hate' leads to some hot bedroom antics. He may come off as arrogant, and again, rightly so, he also has some heart in there (even if she doesn't always see it.) Even if they are competing for the same client, and he knows he has the upper hand, he does what he can to help her without actually bowing out of the competition. Both characters are strong, smart, and of course beautiful people. They each have their flaws. It's a sexy read, and all that tension between them just makes everything that much more powerful. Despite that tension and anxiety, it is a fun and easy read. This can be read as a stand alone, but there are some cameos from the Cocky Suits series. Due to the sexual content, this is suitable for mature readers.
This is my first book review and I have to say another amazing book by Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf. The chemistry between Tripp and Lennon is at times explosive. Their banter back and forth with who has more knowledge of the sport of baseball. Both of them are focused on their career's Tripp with staying on the top and Lennon just starting out and wanting to get her feet wet. She is spunky, no f'sing, determined to show Tripp she has what it takes. Tripp is determined that Lennon doesn't know what she has instore when going after one of is clients. When other characters in the book also help or hinder Tripp and Lennon's couriers and possible relationships, who is going to give and who is going to just walk away when tempers and words are said with out thought. Both don't want to give in to their sexual chemistry but when they do WOW. Another panty wetting and hot flash books. Could say more but done want to give away spoilers. A must read and adding to your Sloane and Alex collections. Keep up the great work.
This book has Sloane written all over it. The guy loves his baseball. Tying it all together with Alex and his love for law. I've read so much of their work. They do an amazing job when they team up together. They really knock it out of the park!
The only thing that always irks me about this series is that the guy is always made out to be the bad guy. That isn't always the case. For once, I'd like to see the girl suck it up and do the grand gesture to get the guy back, or I don't know, at least apologize for being a complete tool. This book is a prime example. Tripp omitted the truth to keep their night special. When he tried to explain, Lennon blew up. She assumed the worst from the start and wouldn't even hear him out. Yet, he had to grovel to get her back.
I enjoy these books. I've read the entire series. These two great authors come together and spin some wonderful rom coms that make you swoon. They also steam you up in good and bad ways...but mostly good. They are both on my go-to list of authors. Keep 'em coming boys!
Tripp Patton is an arrogant and cocky highly successful sports agent. Lennon Edward's is an up and coming sports agent. Tripp and Lennon's paths cross while competing to sign a sought after superstar baseball player.
Tripp is a stand alone installment in the Cocky Suits series. It definitly reads as a stand alone, I was not lmissing any part of the story even though I have not read any of the other Cocky Suit books.
This book is a Grand Slam! The story line offers a medium amount of explicit spice. The main characters Immediately demonstrate a firey passion towards each other...first as enemies then lovers. The baseball element is there, but not overly forced.
I would recommend this book to Sports Romance readers who enjoy more spice than sport in their books. Even if you don't normally read Sport Romance, but like Enemy to Lovers and Alpha Male Romance with a medium amount of spice, you will enjoy this book!
