《屈原》，是郭沫若历史剧的代表作。塑造了屈原“信而见疑、忠而被谤”、横遭陷害、处境艰难、“虽九死其犹未悔”的爱国者形象。《屈原》于1942年首演于重庆，轰动山城。《蔡文姬》郭沫若写于20世纪50年代后期。作者说写此剧就是要为曹操翻案，歌颂他如何爱惜人才。在蔡文姬身上也倾注了作者对祖国的深厚感情。
