Tails From the Urban Jungle: the Return of Johnny Urban by Lulu M. Sylivan
AHHH! That was so sweet. I loved the way Michelle found and rescued the little girl. Plus you had all the cats guarding her. I liked the cats a lot. Very good story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

July 4, 2023This anthology contains eleven stories from different authors, all with a wonderful paranormal flavour. I have written reviews for the first half of the anthology, knowing I couldn’t fit them all in, but hopefully it will give enough information to get others to want to read the book for themselves.
Supe De Jour TL Reeve & Michele Ryan
The main character Fallon Woods is facing her upcoming twenty first birthday and has just found her boyfriend Jimmy cheating on her, when she and her best friend Mackenzie went out for a meal to discuss party plans and found him with a fake Barbie when he said he was working. Good riddance! Fallon is still at college and living in college accommodation, but never seems to get many men wanting to be with her and she had settled for middle of the road Jimmy, thinking that was all she might get. Somehow she still has her v-card and Mackenzie has got plans for the weekend to help her lighten the load and have some fun for once. She takes her to Supe De Jour, an invitation only club where anything goes. Both the women have their fantasies or kinks and inside this club nothing is wrong! Supes are out in the world and this is a place for them to come and play, with humans allowed in small numbers. They have to state whether they are there to play or just watch, and get a wristband to show what they are there for, so others can know if they are into being approached.
Keanu Butler, a werewolf there in his wolfman state, spots Fallon from across the room, but he has to check if his brothers Jasper and Warrick are into her as well, or if he is on his own. They love to have one woman for all three of them to share, but have often found women weren’t into it as much as they were. Their friend Seth comes over and spots Mackenzie and is happy to play with her, whilst they try their chances with Fallon, so they go over to introduce themselves. They are looking for their mate and once all three of them see her, they are all feeling the pull towards her and want to make her happy. They offer to show her around the club, to which they are members, and she gets quite excited just watching some of the other performers and seeing and hearing everything going on around them! She certainly gets to work through a good few of her fantasies with the wolfmen and gets a good workout from them all. Her night ends with a touch of disappointment not of their making and a hopeful date the following week. But evil has other plans and a feral werewolf has his eye on her as well and the men will have to fight to save her from his wicked plans. A thoroughly steamy read, with added danger and desperation thrown in. A curvy college student and her dream trio of supes who make her birthday special.

Her most recent job was to find the kidnapped daughter of a woman, but something doesn’t quite add up and once she finds the young girl, Chrissy, in an abandoned warehouse, she finds herself beign followed, but then her followers are also unwittingly being followed and she knows who by. She hides Chrissy down an alley and jumps up onto the fire escape to lead them away from her. An old friend, Johnny Urban, knocks the men out after taking his tiger form and she then takes Chrissy to her trusted police contact Costa. It turns out that Chrissy of a high value kidnap victim of a bigwig actor father, but Michelle refuses to hand her over unless a DNA test confirms he is the father. The FBI soon turn up and want to take Chrissy into custody until her father can turn up, but she is latched onto Michelle and doesn’t want to let go. Michelle can keep her safe in her trailer at her family’s travelling circus, with her four big cats living in an enclosure right behind it. She hasn’t seen Johnny for some five years, after he left her so she could sort her life out, which wasn’t in a good place back then. A few funny twists that scare the FBI agents silly, with certain big cats involved. But then also another twist when it comes to the true identity of Chrissy’s parents and the trouble that causes.
Wolf’s Bane Sheri Queen
Kylie Quinn was raised in the wolf pack after her parents were poisoned with Wolf’s Bane when she was quite young. For some reason, she has never been able to shift into her wolf and now her pack laws means she is about to be exiled from her pack. Her ex-boyfriend Rylan Archer, the alpha Ray’s son, has returned from New York City for a visit and ends up being pushed to bring a revised edict to her, showing she now only has until the next full moon to prove she can shift, or be forced out of the only place she has known as home. If it wasn’t for her grandfather being in a home with memory issues, she would have been happy to leave, but he was the only reason she had been allowed to stay as long as she has. But his influence over the pack leadership is gone as well as his presence. Kylie was driving back into Unity Falls when she saw a woman with a red scarf, a figure she has seen each year since childhood around the time of her birthday! Rylan wants her to see a hypnotherapist he knows who works in the city, but has an office outside of town, to see if any of her locked way memories of the past could be the key to unlocking her wolf. It seems someone doesn’t want her to remember what happened when her parents were poisoned with Wolf’s Bane.
Shortly after she gets back home, the woman with the red scarf turns up and explains she is called Scarlett and has come with a warning for her, that Death is coming for her and they can sense that she is beginning to remember the past. It turns out her mother was not a wolf shifter exactly and she has left behind something that only her daughter can access. Someone is willing to kill for that information and to silence her memories. Thankfully, Scarlet and her partner Aziel, her mother’s brother, are after whoever killed her mother twenty five years ago and will bring more questions about the town and some illegal activities that are going on within it. Rylan’s father Ray is somehow mixed up in part of it, but the main suspect seems to be the creepy funeral home owner. Some surprising shocks for Kylie about her true heritage and a nice touch of romance and second chances.

Elizabeth is about to turn forty and lives in a wolf pack where females are simply seen as someone to advance your family’s position, with fated mates beign a fairy tale supposedly. She had snuck away before but her pack found her and tricked her into coming back saying her mother was ill. She was kept a virtual prisoner and was being forced to marry someone she didn’t want to. Instead, she ran away, still in her wedding dress, to the small town of Greysden which is supposed to be a town that is welcome to all kinds of shifters. Security Chief Duncan Fields Jr, a wolf shifter, was getting a drink in the local bar, speaking to his friend Pepper Rosewater, a witch, and just about the only people left in town who had not yet found their mates, fed up not to have found his yet, when a woman came in wearing a wedding dress! As soon as his wolf saw her, he shouted out ‘mine’! Duncan couldn’t stop looking at her, but Elizabeth isn’t exactly interested, not after what she had put up with for years. Pepper had spent her life thinking she was the only non-magical one in a family of witches, only to find out recently that her powers had been bound by accident years ago and now she needs to learn how to use the powers she suddenly has. She also seems to be a mate magnet for everyone else, not herself!
Elizabeth wants a new start in life, starting with a job and somewhere to stay, which thankfully, Marie, one of the bar owners, can help her with, especially as she is Duncan’s mate! She needs time to find herself and can’t deny that Duncan is her fated mate, but can only be friends to start with, asking him to treat it as a human relationship and to court her. She gets used to working in the bar and restaurant, while making the apartment feel like home. Duncan meets her after work each day and has dinner with her, before escorting her to her door and nothing more thankfully. She finally gets a couple of days off together, but decides to speak to some of the other mated women, to find out how they managed to balance the mating bond with an independent life for themselves. Duncan is a bit disappointed not to get to spend time with her when she gets back and says she’s tired, and starts going home, only to sense her alarm and pain! Her family have come for her again and aren’t happy that she left them without someone bringing in money for them to fritter away, whilst they sat on their butts all day. Luckily for her, Duncan is the perfect mate and so supportive, he even manages to forego his normal protective instincts and allow her to deal with the men herself. He is showing her all the ways he believes in her and how much she can trust him, which is the hardest thing for Elizabeth after her upbringing in such a backward pack. Great romance and heat, as Duncan plays it at her speed and they come to a shared relationship through communication and kindness.

All of the stories are great paranormal romances, with some more steamy than others. But each has wonderful characters and lots of different shifters to keep you interested, with them finding themselves in all sorts of different situations, danger, laughter and love. Definitely one to read if you enjoy any sort of shifter stories with romance added in. I received an ARC copy of this anthology from BookSprout and I have given my own opinion of the books above, with full reviews for about half of them, knowing most sites can’t fit really long reviews! Hope the ones shown help you make a decision on whether you want to read them yourselves.

Shift N Howl – A Limited Edition Paranormal Romance Anthology is a marvelous collection of stories from various authors! There are vampires, dragons, bears, tigers, and wolves…LOTS of wolves! The variety of tropes is vast!! I think my two favorite stories were:
Balthazar’s Fury by Felicity Brandon which is the story of Balthazar and Cherie. He and his brothers are Dragon shifters. Balthazar goes to meet an associate he doesn’t care for. Cherie is this man’s assistant. There’s a tumultuous set of situations, leading to a shocking conclusion! Ends in a cliffhanger.
Runaway Wolf by Rose Bak follows Duncan and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is doomed to a marriage she doesn’t want. So, she runs…right into the town of Security Chief Duncan. Can he truly help her? Does he even want to? How can anything possibly work out for her?
There’s a smattering of everything in this anthology. Some stories I skipped, since they were tropes I didn’t care for…but, most were lots of fun and exciting!!! Found a few new authors!!

Eleven fantastic books to take you away from your life, each one so different and covering most of the tropes out there. Great to see some of my favorite authors and even found a few new ones to check out soon. Totally enjoyed these stories, especially Doubly Claimed, Protecting Her Wolf, and Runaway Wolf. A lot of great characters with a wide variety of strengths and powers, backstories and banter. Storylines with entertaining situations, surprises, big decisions, some danger, steam, revelations, close friends and family, hidden agendas and much more. I dare you to stop reading after just one of these and not binge read until the early morning hours.

Shift `N` Howl is another fabulous addition to the Shifters Unleashed collection and is jam-packed with fun, sexy and furry Shapeshifters to whet your paranormal appetite. There’s no better way to grab a multitude of hot, intriguing, and swoon-worthy growly romances than an anthology packed to the rafters with captivating and exciting tales. Some of my favourite authors are included, such as Gina Kincade, Erzabet Bishop and C.D. Gorri, but there are also many more to meet and enjoy. An entertaining assortment of stories, with something that is sure to appeal to all paranormal romance readers!

11 short Shapeshifters’ stories in this amazing collection, Shift ‘N Howl will satisfy the appetite of any PNR lover. I really loved all 11 stories with their differences, each unique character, different stories, different levels of spicy, and beautiful love stories. I had the opportunity to discover new authors and have a taste of some of my favourite ones (Ariel Dawn, C.D. Gorri, Gina Kinkade, Ezrabet Bishop, and Luna Joya among others). 11 stories in this anthology, allowing readers with different tastes to find the right story for everyone. An easy read despite the considerable length of the whole collection.

I really enjoyed reading this collection of short stories. It features various romantic themes such as high school sweethearts, reverse harem, insta-love, and more. My personal favorite is "Wolf Bane," which tells a story about a wolf-shifter who's unable to shift and is treated poorly by her pack. However, her luck changes when a couple of angels appear. While some stories have action and others don't, they all have plenty of romance and passion, and each story ends in a HEA. I highly recommend this collection.

Fun read! Michelle and Johnny are lovers and work perfectly together in all things. Johnny is a shifter and can shift into different forms. They are good people through and through. Michelle lives with a traveling circus with the rest of her family. She was hired to retrieve a little girl who was kidnapped by bad men. As soon as she saves the little girl she knows something is off. Instead of releasing the girl to the FBI she takes temporary custody of the girl and protects her with help from her big cats and Johnny Urban! Great quick read!

I absolutely loved this anthology! I got a chance to read books from some of my favorite authors. Also introduced to some authors that I haven't read. This is a must read if you love anything with the paranormal and romance. There is bound to be a story that will grab your attention. They are all wonderful stories. Each story is a doorway into the authors paranormal world. Read one or all but I recommend the latter. 5 🌟 highly recommend!!.

Great wonderful stories. Enjoyable engaging shifter stories. There are eleven stories written by imaginative writers within this box set which were delightful to read. They have wonderful characters, steamy chemistry, drama, romance and action that kept me interested. There were some new writers for me to find (Always Love Finding New Writers) among my favorites. I highly recommend this collection, it's a great one added to my collection of Anthology sets by Shifters Unleashed. I volunteer to read and review this copy I received.

Loved these awesome stories! They were all very enjoyable and entertaining. Some amazing characters and great storylines! A few were from some long time favorite authors and quite a few new ones for me also. These anthologies are the best to meet new authors and I’ve found quite a few that I’ve added to my faves! Absolutely loved these shifters and I highly recommend!.

This is another great collection of novellas from Shifters Unleashed. It includes a fantastic variety of stories, tropes, characters, and circumstances, from a diverse group of authors. This is an anthology that you can sink your teeth into. Or you claws if you prefer. There's something for every paranormal romance lover in this amazing book. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy of Felicity Brandon's Balthazar's Fury and I loved it. It's got action, it's got steam, it's got dragons. Seriously, what more do I need to say than dragons? And Balthazar is one sexy dragon. I'm excited to read the rest of these stories, and I love that it's a combination of some of my favorite authors and a few I've never read.

I thoughly enjoyed a few of these stories. The best ones that got my attention were 1. Supe De Jour, 2. Hellbound Heart & 3. Doubly Claimed... I want to read the next books in order of these authors just to finish off the series. 10 plus fantastic stories by authors we all know and love there are so many different shifters who find their forever women and very lucky women at that, there’s plenty of action, adventure, suspense, drama, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. So many wonderful stories with hours of entertaining reading you can’t go wrong and I highly recommend this book.

June 16, 2023I love anthologies and I enjoyed this one with all the shifters to enjoy. Each story was different but entertaining. Crazy characters and situations to enjoy. Plus there were some good authors to enjoy. Lots of different shifters to keep the stories different from each other too. I laughed and groaned but had fun reading them. Favorite authors and new ones to find.

This is another great collection of books. With dragons, bears, wolves and plenty of action, love, romance and generally good stories that keep you hooked. I have read a few of the Shifters Unleashed Anthologies and have enjoyed them all.

An eclectic mix of paranormal romance from so hot you need a bucket of water at your side as you read to mysteries . start of series some that end in a cliff hanger and some that are complete stories. Enough different styles that if you dont like one worry not as there are a lot more to chose from . If you only buy one book this summer this should be it as it will last you all summer long

Balthazar's Fury by Felicity Brandon
This was so addicting I love dragons, Balthazar is complicated but when defending Cherie from Monroe was very unexpected and downright hot.
The connection is strong and there were scenes I did not expect at all and it thrilled me, I was no way. OMG I did not see that coming at all and I need the rest asap!!!!

Oh, my if you’re a lover of the paranormal shifter world you’re in for an awesome treat. 13 writers have gotten together again to bring the readers a treat. Each of these books bring something different to the table. This series will bring you hours of enjoyment.

I totally enjoyed this bundle of paranormal romance stories. They had wolves, vampires, and all kinds of other shifters. This set also had many tropes. Some authors I had already read but I definitely found some new ones I will have to check out. Wonderful book for many different tastes. Great read!

In Doubly Claimed by CD Gorri, Ginger and her sister's go on a vacation to a special locale, but someone forgot to tell them how special it is. Ginger finds her fantasy, which becomes reality, and changes her life. Loved this story!
