I had the best of time reading this book. I always love a series that spawns multiple books and that is focused on the same couple and I thought that this one was just fantastic. I was so invested in this story from page 1 and i’m super excited to see where it will go in the next books in the series. I haven’t been this invested in a couple as I am about Cooper and Gabby in a couple of months and I just need to know more about them and see where everything goes.
I thought that the plot in this book was so much fun to read. I loved the start of their relationship and how a lot of it was them dating long distance, which is one of my favourite trope to read in books. I loved how they got to know each other and I loved reading about them spending all of their free time together. I thought that Cooper and Gabby was so well suited for each other and I loved reading their interactions.
I loved the romance in this one. It was just how they met and the start of their romance but I thought that it was super fun to read and I could definitely see why Cooper and Gabby are together, they were just so perfect for each other.
Also this was super hot, which is also something that I always appreciate in my books.

Curveball is the first book in Lisa Suzanne's new standalone but connected series- Vegas Heat- The Expansion Team and the beginning of one super sexy sports romance. Now, I can't wait for more from these instantly intriguing and enjoyable characters in the books to come in this series. It's an understatement to say it, but Cooper and Gabby really do bring on some seriously smoldering heat, right from the very start and have already become my favorite Vegas couple! Along with a phenomenal story, this book is steamy, spicey and hotter than hellfire! Gah, all the best adjectives apply here with them, just don't burn your fingers while turning the pages!
This time, football is on the sidelines as BASEBALL takes center field in this new steamy- sweet sports romance. Have you meet Cooper Noah yet? If not, you'll want to go back and and see him in Vegas Aces: The Tight End series, which is where his true goodness is first revealed. This great guy has a few surprising connections to Las Vegas that already exsist in more ways than one now. Wink, wink, surprise!
What did I love most about Curveball??? Cooper and Gabby, of course!! It seemed they'd gone from total strangers in a casino, to a loving couple in a matter of days, rather than weeks or months, much to my ultimate delight. Their intense, immediate attraction was so easily felt, with strong feelings for each other exposed and embraced as this very sexy story progressed. I just LOVE when a romance heads in this heartfelt and delicious direction this way.
Cooper and Gabby's romance burns quickly and brightly- they're such a perfect fit for each other. Witty and lighthearted personalities, both having an outrageous senses of humor and are completely at ease with each other from day one. Time stands still as they share private things about themselves, but maybe not everything...yet! She's keeping some secrets, but so is he. Will finding out what's been held back be a deal breaker?
Leave it to Lisa Suzanne to show you all those juicy little bits and pieces as Cooper and Gabby fall in deeper, becoming more entwined, leading up to a very sticky situation you can feel coming like a sudden storm. A Homerun On The Very First Book Of The Series
I don’t even know where to start because I want to do justice to just letting you know how great this book was. Cooper meets Gabby on the night she turns twenty-one in Vegas. Cooper is there for a job offer with the owner of the infamous Coax retreat. Just those couple of days is what is the start of an amazing relationship between two of the nicest people around. Things heat up fast and furious and more than that its their soul melting feelings that made this a fantastic book.
I love the background and the build up to a series that I already can’t get enough of. They bare their souls to each other but both leave little tidbits out until they deem it the right time to reveal the “little” things they left out.
The ending was amazing with one heck of a cliffhanger!! I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book of this series. Just incredible!!

Curveball is the first book in the Vegas Heat: Expansion Team series. This was so much fun and I can’t wait to listen to book 2. Gabby and Cooper instantly have a connection and their chemistry is so good. They are both keeping secrets from each other and this does end on a cliffhanger. The audio was perfect, Aiden Snow and Stephanie Rose did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Highly recommend!!

Let me Just start BY Saying WOW !!! Lisa did it again i have read all of the Vegas Ace Football Book and the Baseball one is just as Good if not better I read it in 1 day !!!
-Cooper is a semi- retired well know 3rd base Dodgers Baseball player who lives in San Diego we were first introduced to Cooper in Tight End Vegas Ace with Kaylee and Ben . Cooper is currently the face of Strong Fit Kit gym program in San Diego. When he get a call from a friend to come to Vegas for the weekend little did he know his life would change for the good in one weekend his friend has just been asked to be the manger of the new expansion team in Vegas and wants Cooper as his 3rd baseman .
Gabby lives in Vegas and is out celebrating her 21st birthday when she walks in to the casino and wants to play black jack Cooper is sitting at the table she joins and offers to teach her how to play Gabby has know idea who Cooper is they play a couple of hand and hit it right off . Gabby was to meet her friend to go to the club but didnt want to leave Cooper so he join her he ask her to spend the night with him. He loves that he could be Cooper Noah not Cooper the well know Baseball player after spending the weekend together they both wanted to see where this goes . Cooper still hasnt told her who he is and little does he know Gabby is not telling him all about her life when Cooper move to Vegas Gabby is starting her Senior year of college and his starting his new job and the roller coaster is about to began I cant wait for book # 2

I've been a fan of this author for a while now, but this is definitely one of her best!! Age gap, insta love with all the feels AND heat?! YES PLEASE!
Cooper was forced to retire from the game he loves, and he's finally starting to adjust to his new life. He's seeing his friends settle down and start finding women that complete them and he realizes that's what's been missing from his own life. On a trip to Vegas for a new job pitch, (see what I did there!!) he is immediately entranced by a beautiful young woman who is celebrating her 21st birthday. They are both so drawn together, and although their relationship is fast, hot, and heavy, they truly do love one another, but there is one thing hanging above their heads that just might ruin what they've built.
I loved Cooper so much!! He was such a down to earth, hilarious H who absolutely adored his woman. Gabby was absolutely amazing too, and i just adored everything about her! Her relationship with Cooper felt so real, and usually with insta romances it can feel kind of forced/faked, but there was none of that here! Plus that cliffy?! Holy baseball, batman! I need more!!

Having read Ms.Suzanne's work many times before i always look so forward to her books! As soon as this one was announced i wanted to read it next! I picked it up and got right into the Vegas Heat: The Expansion Team world! I so enjoyed this first installment!
Baseball is my favorite sport so i was thrilled when i found out about this series!
This first installment in Cooper and Gabby's journey captured my attention! Cooper is in Vegas after his friend asks him to join the Vegas Heat expansion baseball team. Gabby is celebrating her birthday. It's there that these two and their worlds collide. The attraction is undeniable. Can giving in lead to so much more for these two?
I really liked how quickly both Cooper and Gabby got me into their story and the way they were brought into each other's lives. I was glad that i got to dig into both of their minds. The chemistry between these two was great! I enjoyed the fact that i wasn't quite sure what all was going to unfold in this first installment for Cooper and Gabby. These two already have me feeling so much!

Cooper Noah is a 32 year old baseball superstar who has been unsatisfied with his life since an injury made him retire from the game he loves. Gabby is a college student recovering from her mother's treatment of her and developing a relationship with the father she didn't know until recently. Cooper and Gabby meet while she's out celebrating her 21st birthday and he's in town meeting with an old friend who wants him to come back to pro ball and help him get his new expansion team off the ground.
Noah and Gabby's chemistry is easy, organic and believable (and hot as hell). They fall hard for each other quickly and go to great lengths to tend and grow their relationship - texting, phoning, weekend visits, even house-hunting - everything except sharing the secret each has with the other.
The twist at the end of the book will have you frustrated that the next book in the series isn't ready to read yet. It's another compelling (and sweet and steamy) story from Lisa Suzanne, one of the best sports genre writers around.

I was given an ARC of Curveball for an honest review and I don’t know if I was lucky or if it was torture? Lucky because it is now one of my absolute favorite Lisa Suzanne books, or torture because now I actually have to wait longer for book 2 to be released.
Cooper Nolan who we met in Kaylee and Ben’s books has come to Vegas to entertain the idea of returning to Pro Baseball. His good friend has tapped him as the veteran face for the newest expansion team but he isn’t sold on the idea.
Gabby is celebrating her 21st Birthday on the Strip with her friends when by chance she sits next to the hottest man at the blackjack table. Their chemistry is instant and they spend a whirlwind weekend together.
Cooper and Gabby are in such different periods of their lives. He is the older man (12 years Gabby’s Senior) in his prime looking towards what he really wants out of his life and what’s truly important, and Gabby is a Senior in College with her entire life just ahead of her.
However their attraction is much more the the smoking hot scenes that we know we will get with any Lisa Suzanne book, even from the beginning.
There is definitely a twist in the book and the author casually drops hints along the way. You know the reveal is coming and it’s like a car crash you come across after spending an hour stuck in traffic on the highway. You know it’s going to be huge but you can’t turn away and then it’s over and you immediately want to know what actually just happened.
That’s the amazing thing about any Lisa Suzanne book. You know there is going to be a revelation but she teases us just enough to make us beg for the next book. Well I for one already have mine preordered and can’t wait to read more about Cooper and Gabby!

February 19, 2023It was worth the wait for Cooper! As we start another multi-part series, hold on to your kindle, we are in for a ride. We are back in Vegas; there is now an expansion baseball team. Cooper has an opportunity to go back to the game he loves and back to a city where he might have found “the one”.
We are catching up with others from Ace’s series as we met Cooper in Kaylee and Ben’s story. Cooper and Gabby will get your attention quickly and fall for each other fast, but obstacles are beginning to show. Bring on Book two, I need to know what happens next.

Curveball kicks off a new series form Lisa, and let’s just say it’s off to a great start. I love a good sports romance with a mix of age gap.
Gabby and Cooper connection was instant. I just loved how these two interacted with one another. The chemistry is off the charts,and you can’t help but root for them. I can’t wait to see how everything will unfold in the future books. Especially with that ending, I just knew that was going to happened.
This story had lots of laughs, steams and mystery. I just loved everything about this incredible start to an amazing series.

*ALC review* This was my 1st Lisa Suzanne story, and I was surprisingly sucked into this age-gap baseball romance! It was definitely an insta-love situation with the MCs, and while I knew this was part of a series I still found myself shocked by the cliffhanger ending! Aiden Snow and Stephanie Rose did a fantastic job on the narration, pulling me into each characters POV in a way that I did not want to be pulled away from. The pacing of the story was great, giving me just enough to be interested and wanting the next part of the story!

the pacing is so off.
DNF at 95 pages of 202. Couldn’t make it halfway. I don’t know what it is about lust to live at first sight but it makes for an unpleasant read for me. I wanted to love this book because it looked promising. It’s unfortunately not paced well enough to continue.

I got this book by Arc ( my very first one ) for an honest review
Wow, what a book ,another fantastic read from Lisa Suzanne ,I can not wait to read book 2 fastball.
Curveball is about a hot baseball player called Cooper, he's just getting back into the game after a short while , he then meets gabby on her 21st birthday, in vegas they hit it off stright away even woth the 12 years between them they can't stop wanting to be together ,he also wears no.21 and the chemistry between then keeps you fixed through out the book
This book was great and a must read ,expecially if you like hot chemistry ,age gaps and sports romance

Lisa Suzanne does it again! Didn't think her books could get any better, but OMG, they did. I received an ARC copy of Curveball, and it did not disappoint. Think I have found my new book boyfriend in Cooper! This is a lovely age gap/insta love/sports story, and it does not disappoint.
This book had me sucked in from the beginning and it sure did not disappoint. I didn't want to end!

What are the chances?? That is what you will be asking yourself at the end of this first installment of Cooper’s story. Gabby and Cooper meet at a casino when she is out celebrating her 21st birthday in her hometown of Vegas. They form an instant connection. Cooper is trying to decide if he wants to revive his baseball career and join the Vegas expansion team his friend is leading. Even though there is a significant age gap, they decide to try to make it work when Cooper moves in Vegas. Little do they know the complications ahead.
This book is an off-shoot of the author’s other series about the Vegas Aces football team. You would not have had to read that series to enjoy this one. She releases the story in installments and this is the first installment. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Coopers book is finally here. I was lucky to get an ARC of Curveball. I love the fact that it the book has references to the Vegas aces series. Cooper and Gabbys story is so dreamy, she's the young care free girl who meets an older gorgeous guy, both can't believe their luck. As the book went on, I had a feeling of what was going to happen, but I was excited to find out how it would be revealed, and Lisa didn't disappoint as such, the reveal was great, but now I have to wait for book 2. Fastball can't come quick enough

it's her 21st birthday and yes when in Vegas even at times as a native to town you go up to the strip to celebrate. but going in to play the tables and seeing that hottie well yes please.
cue the insta attraction and the need to be together but they are holding secrets each of them but how does it come out well take a listen and get ready for book 2 as it's only going to get better ( well I hope it does)

Cooper Noah was a pro baseball player until three years ago when an injury took him out of the game he loved so much. Since then he has been working for an children's health and fitness organisation which he also loves but when he gets an offer to play for a brand new team in Vegas, he didn't realise how much one little job offer could change his life completely.
Whilst in Vegas to talk details about playing again, Cooper meets a gorgeous woman at the blackjack table who immediately sparks something in him that has long been forgotten.
When Gabby went out for her 21st birthday celebrations she had no idea how much her life would change when she sat down at the blackjack table and a handsome man offered to teach her how to play.

Oh, where to start? First, let me say that I LOVE Lisa Suzanne books. The pace of the story, the depth of the moods, and the warmth of the characters draw me in every time.
Curveball is actually a curve pitch off of her last series, Vegas Aces, and the book “Tight End” where Cooper was introduced to us.. We are brought into Cooper Noah’s life as he has adjusted to his forced retirement from Major League baseball after a UCL injury, is satisfied with his decision. Having taken the “face of” position for StrongFitKids in San Diego, his work partner Kaylee has now moved to Vegas and married Ben Olsen (remember him? He also has a cameo role as Cooper’s friend and confidant as he and Kaylee are years apart). Cooper realizes he would also like to find a life partner, start a family and move forward as they have.
Cooper comes to Las Vegas to meet with his longtime baseball colleague, Troy, who pitches him a position on the new Las Vegas baseball expansion team. As our guy Cooper considers it while playing at Caesar’s Blackjack table , he is enchanted by a young woman who is celebrating her birthday—her 21st birthday—to his 32 years. He offers to teach her how to play, and as they talk and flirt, he realizes that they are drawn to each other. He appreciates her wit and exuberance.
Our Birthday Girl, Gabby, is drawn to Cooper; his demeanor, good looks as well as his warmth and humor. They let their guard down, their attraction is quick and strong. They both are concerned about the age difference, but their connection is there. He is finding a good listener in her, and she likes his sensitivity. After subsequent visits with each other, it’s apparent this is very real for them.
As this attraction grows, so is the realization that he needs to tell her who he is. Although she knows he is a 3-time MLB All-Star, it is the “civilian” Cooper that has her hooked and not the professional role. He hasn’t told her all of the details of his new deal to play in Vegas and, in typical Lisa Suzanne fashion, it all comes down at once.
Get ready for the love balloon to pop as the truth of both their lives is made apparent and why this is so important. Ms. Suzanne has made "Curveball" into a cliffhanger book, as with many in her previous series, the anticipation heightens the drama.
I would absolutely recommend this book (and the coming series). I was engaged from the start, rooting for Cooper to “come clean” but knowing that there was a “curve ball” coming over the plate!
