After being on the run, she can finally settle down. Her rapist is dead and she can breathe out. She’s 8 months pregnant, in need of a job and a place to live. Mr Saint, Tinsley’s new boss, takes one look at her and decides they’re both his. (The rape resulted in the pregnancy, it’s off page but you get some details)

This was very much insta-love. I liked the second half better than the first, it was sweet and heartwarming. The first 50% was ott cheesy, in a bad way. There’s no depth to the story and it all felt a bit rushed. The story was lacking in some departments but it was sweet and I enjoyed it over all.

I liked Tinsley.
Nikolai was adorable. He was an ott protective, blushing and sweet-as-hell mess. He had such a big heart and took care of everyone he could, in whatever ways he could.

I’m sorry but the nickname Goddess was not it. It’s icking me out so bad.

Santa Baby is book three of the Carnal Expectations series by Bex Dawn. This might be the shortest one, but i believe it has become one of my favorites.

Tinsley’s and Nicolai’s story is so sweet and beautiful. They just collide together in an amazing display of love. This is an age gap romance with HEA!

FMC Tinsley’s was introduced to us as Rayvn’s client in the case she was defending. Tinsley became pregnant after being raped. She is on the run after dropping the case but the man who stole her innocence is threatening to kill her and her baby. She lands in a small town filled with people willing and wanting to help her.

MMC Nicolai/Nico is the CEO of his company Wonderland, which is a toy store. He also runs a charity called Saint Foundation. Nicolai Saint bends for Tinsley in everything. He reads the baby books, buys her clothes, makes the doctor calls, and studies the baby-safe positions. He takes care of her and makes her feel safe.

“I promise you never have to be alone again if you don’t want to. It’s reckless. Fast. Insane.” He groans, shaking his head. His soft skin swishes against mine. “I know I’m too fucking old for you. I’m double your age. It’s crazy.” He gulps. “But it doesn’t change this wild need to be with you. To protect you and Pixie. I just need you to let me take care of you.”

Always be aware of trigger warnings before reading a new book. This one is mild compared to the other two in the series. It’s spicy and entertaining, I just love Lottie.

I swear Bex could write driving instructions and it would somehow be amazing. Santa’s Baby is incredible. It’s filthy, Insta love, sweet, and spicy. Nico is one of the ultimate Daddies out there in the book world. He soothes your soul with his sweet words, then destroys your kitty with his dirty talk. And my goodness this man can talk the talk and walk the walk. There were parts that had me audibly GASPING, they were that shocking but deliciously dirty. I loved every second of it! Tinsley is adorable. She’s a dedicated, compassionate woman who was wronged but trying to make the best of it. My goodness this was all around amazing. Lessons on consent, importance of communication, and my favourite reoccurring lesson throughout a lot of Bed Dawn’s books is that you can, in fact, choose your family. Family doesn’t mean blood related. Absolutely can not wait for what’s next!!

This is a story of perfect for me, even at 8 months pregnant. Tinsley is a woman on the run from ***trigger warning*** the man who forcibly impregnated her and is not out to get her for reporting him.

Nikolai owns a Toy Story in a darling little town full of good hearted people. He knows what Tinsley needs and it’s insta love with a side of filth.

Expect to finally find fisting useful and hot, daddy needs those milky moments, your body is a wonderland, how fast can I get you pregnant again and you’ll never wants for love and devotion again sweetheart.

I only went down a star because it felt a little too long.

Going to preface this by saying I don’t love the pregnancy kink, and I tried not to let that affect my rating TOO much, but… she was sooooo heavily pregnant, I couldn’t help but think some positions sounded very uncomfortable?!

Aside from that, this OTT instalove novella had a wounded bird heroine (TW: past rape), a great ‘imma take care of you’ hero (in that presumptuous way that instalove heroes do, but managed to keep it sweet without going into kidnap territory), and a Hallmark movie feel while being very, very steamy.

I also liked the writing (which is honestly something I don’t usually notice in an OTT instalove novella!), so going to check out some other books by this author.

We met our sweet Tinsley Snow during Primal Urges. And if you read that, you know all the terrible things she’s dealing with. Tinsley has spent her life running. From her past, her present, her demons, her fears, her anxieties, from herself. But now, she’s finally able to establish roots. And what better place to do that than in small town Jackson, which has such a beautiful close knit family feel. Plus it’s Christmas time, which only makes it that much more special! Nicolai Saint has spent over two decades putting his company above all else, so he’s ready to step down as CEO. The second Nico’s eyes land on Tinsley, that decision is cemented. Just like Logan and Wolfe, Nico has an instant primal need to protect Tinsley, and that’s even before actually meeting her. He’s willing to stop at nothing to give her the life her and her baby deserves, and then when they properly meet? Get ready to melt folks! Then again, everything about Nico made me melt. His rescue dogs, his foundation, the ways he made sure she was comfortable in his house, how thoughtful and kind he was without hesitation, his attention to every detail. And don’t even get me started on that man’s emotional heart! I spent a lot of time teary eyed because of Nicolai Saint! The connection between them. The understanding, the comfort, the safety, the reassurance. It was all so beautiful. This is definitely not as dirty as the other two in this series, or anything else Bex has written for that matter. But it’s not lacking! The spice was perfect for them, which only made it hotter!

Adorable holiday novella without being annoyingly about Santa, even with the MMC being named Nicola Saint and the FMC being Tinsley Snow.

She was SA’d be her ex employer and was on the run until she found the quaint town Nico is famous in. As the CEO of Wonderland toys and all around good guy billionaire, the entire town seems to want to help her out and push her towards Nico.

As soon as he sees her, 8 months pregnant, and sleeping in his office, he’s obsessed with taking care of her and having her and her baby become his.

It’s a sweet OTT MMC who was also homeless at one point and who rescues dogs (8 of them and they all have reindeer names) and even though he’s 25 years older than her, they work.

It’s cute, it’s kinky (pregnancy/breeding, lactation (ish), fisting) and it’s a quick read.

What a perfect book to end my reading year, with one my favourite tropes. This was sweet, simple and smutty. This is also one of the few Christmassy books I’ve read and it’s definitely one of my favourites. If you’re looking for a fluffy read I’d definitely recommend.

If you’re looking for something festive that will give you a tooth ache then you need to read! I loved this short read and the characters bex wrote for this book. The mmc was just the cutest cinnamon roll and was just everything you want in a man. I can’t wait to read more from not just this series but this author.

After unsuccessfully trying to charge the man of his crimes, Tinsley ran again. She needs to find somewhere safe to land, because soon she is going to be a mother.

Nicolai grew up in the foster system and didn't have a clue how to survive this thing we called life. Lucky for him, he met a struggling toy maker who took him in, taught him everything he knew and when he died he left everything to Nico. Nico turned that business into several successful stores. Now he's rich, divorced and almost 50. He's come to realize all he wants to do is marry a woman, have children and continue his work through his foundation.

Bex promised this story to be low-angst, sweet and smutty and they delievered!!

We start the story off with Tinsley at 34 weeks pregnant with over a month till her due date. She is a biiiiig girl.

Santa’s Baby: Carnal Expectations by Bex Dawn is the first book that I have read by Bex. This was actually recommended by the author in a Facebook group! The bookish community once again helps us all out.

Summary:
Nicholai Saint🧑🏼‍🎄is a billionaire toy store empire owner of Wonderland. He is in his middle 40s. He’s beloved in the small town by everyone, even the animals. He’s a philanthropist, driven, and genuinely kind. The scene with him walking his 8 dogs made my heart tumble out of my chest. Tinsley Snow is on the run while pregnant and happens upon Jackson, the small town. She is in her early 20s. Inadvertently, she captures compassion from everyone she encounters. The pull to this town has her in a chokehold as she knows that she needs to leave to keep her and her unborn child safe. Tinsley is way stronger than we thought. She endured her assault and keeps enduring until she finds out that she no longer has to be on the run.

As the story unfolds, the two meet and there are instant sparks between them that they can’t deny. Nic immediately wants to take care of her and be a father to her unborn child, without even properly knowing her. Tinsley feels a pull to him and instantly wants to let him be the man she needs. Do sparks fly due to a Christmas miracle or can they keep flying long after the new year?🎄

Spice level:
💋🌶️🌶️: The smex scenes are few, but their strong connection and intimacy makes up for it.

Conclusion:
This story sucked me in from the beginning. Tinsley’s struggle made me invested to find out what her happy ending would be. Nicholai also officially became my new book boyfriend.

Warning: There are parts that mention assault and grape.

Recommendation:
I recommend this book. The happy ending is worth it.🎁🎄.

I received Santa's Baby as an ARC. It is hands down the best holiday read i've picked up this year and i've read 250+ books in the last 12 months.

I've read every Bex Dawn book she's published this year and dare I say that this may be my new favourite? Another phenomenal work that is pure and total filthy smut but also has amazingly well developed characters. Each and every time she introduces side characters that make their cameo next that i'm so invested in.

Santa's Baby is the story of Tinsley and Nicolai, the former who we met in the second instalment of the carnal expectations series; Primal Urges. You can totally read this book as a stand alone and it will be fine but do yourself a favour and start back at book 1 - Cracked Foundation so you don't miss on daddy Logan.

Tinsley is on the run and escaping a powerful former boss who assaulted her to the point that she is now carrying his child. He's hunting her down, threatening her and she's in need of the ultimate Christmas miracle. We meet Tinsley when she's about to pop and is taken in by the kindness and generosity of folks in a small town who set her up with a job and a safe place to sleep that isn't her car. Her new boss Nicolai; a Christmas toy store owner sees Tinsley and falls hard and fast. He's double her age but knows instantly that he is supposed to be her *daddy* or is it baby daddy?! Nicolai is sexy, sweet and not letting Tinsley out of his sights.

Santa's Baby is the ultimate hallmark christmas romance wrapped in dirty kinky smutty filth. You need this in your life. He's over the top possessive and I am here for it.

I jumped right into the story after finishing book 2, this series has me in a chokehold. This was short and sweet, Tinsley got what she deserved after her traumatic experience that was explained in book 2. Her moving because of her assault and still keeping the baby that came from her attack shows her courage and strength. She wanted the positive that came out of a negative and chose to do everything that she could to ensure that this baby grows up with love and anything it needs even though she has nothing.

Since she moved and is only living on her savings and in her car, she is able to meet some really nice people in a town where she felt welcomed. The MMC was perfect in every way. His obsession with her wasn’t overbearing like the other Books, but was still as intense and present. This is an Insta love and it’s not practical in terms of how fast they fall for one another but, it worked. Bex was able to successfully write an Insta love that didn’t feel super rushed and if anything you yearning for more. The smut was everything and then some. If you’re into breeding and daddy stuff you’re in the right place. The way how he is always attentive towards her needs and make sure that she is not wanting of anything is just something that is comforting to read, especially knowing that it’s the first time she’s ever really experienced that type of care. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, the only thing I wish was that it was longer <3

Santa's Baby, a short and sweet novella in Bex's Carnal Expectations series, follows the relationship of Nico and Tinsley. Tinsley, a pregnant running away from the baby daddy, runs straight into a new town, full of charming and caring folks. That take care of her, that care about her, despite just a recent meeting.

I am absolutely obsessed with their relationship, from the moment Nico sees Tinsley asleep on Candy's couch to the time jump a year later. My heart goes out to both of them, and seeing them heal together? It's truly a Christmas miracle, like Tinsley says.

I think Nico is my favorite of the Carnal Expectations guys, followed closely by Logan.

Do be wary of triggers going into this series.

I just want to start by saying I am a massive fan of Bex, and I can honestly say she has written some of the best books I have read this year.

That being said, I was quite nervous going into this book simply due to the fact that I am not a fan of the pregnancy/breeding trope at all. Throw in a lactation kink, and I was ready to run the other way and not look back. That being said, I had no idea how much I was going to enjoy the book because, honestly, it is not something I would normally ever read.

I guess when you find your ride-or-die authors, you have this level of trust that they will deliver the goods, which Bex ALWAYS does, so I really shouldn't be surprised.
 
Nicolai Saint is straight up delicious, and I would happily let him swoon over me the way he does Tinsley. I think he is definitely my favourite MMC in the series so far!

Surrounded in the cute town with Christmas magic, where several people take her into their hearts and mother her, she meets Nico her new boss.
He falls for her hard and fast when he sees her sleeping in the office.
Nico is obsessed with Tinsley the moment he sees her. This story is Tinsley's HEA. After being the victim in Primal Urges, she runs from the threat ending up in Jackson WY. Surrounded by a quaint small town with Christmas magic, she meets Nico. He falls first, hard and fast. In true insta fashion, there isn't much room for traditional romancing.

The kinks in this story were different to the normal romance, subtle both parties were down for it so there we go.
Nico is twice hits let’s are but for them they were the perfect match and he adored her and likewise she fell hard for him also, it was a good read that was perfect for them.

Christmas themed quick read/ preg h from beginning.HEA

This one was overall better bc the story didn’t make me skim. This wasn’t super kinky and idk what really was the kink maybe her being preg and being milky (bre@$t milk)

To put it simply, I never thought I would enjoy a lot of the tropes that are hidden in this book… But Nicolai Saint, he makes everything sound so damn good.

I don’t ask for much in a novella, something with spice usually, but this sweet quick read not only has me GASPING at the spice, but it also made me all gooey with the love bug.

We have insta-love, pregnancy trope and coping with trauma involving SA (*please read full list of trigger warnings*). This novella took me for a beautiful journey of learning that love is sometimes unexpected, unpredictable and unconditional.

A short, sweet, festive novella which makes you want your own Christmas miracle (and by miracle, I mean Nicolai Saint absolutely railing the sh*t out of me).

Mr. Saint here reminded me so much of Joe Goldberg, but a lot more PG version of course.



It’s creepy sometimes with how obsessed he was with Tinsley and Pixie, and how long he paused while having conversations with literally every other character lol. If this doesn’t scream Joe Goldberg then I don’t know what is. But hey at least he fell first and boy did he fall so hard, tried his best to provide for her and the baby, at the same time was so kind and sweet to them, I was swooned ngl.

However, maybe because insta-love was probably one of my least favorite tropes, ever, so I found their relationship and relationship development a bit cringe and weird.

Still, overall, this was a very sweet, nice and quick read.

She finds a cute Christmas town, and she decides to set roots down for her & daughter (tw she's pregnant with her rapist baby) PS -Her rapist dies. 🙌🙌
She meets ADORABLE SWEET NICO, her boss (ceo of a christmas toy store so stinking cute with the christmas theme) he's absolutely one of my favorite book boyfriends!! (Nico46 Tinsley21)
Nico INSTANLY falls in love and wants to be a family with them (before even meeting her, he had a nursery made for pixie/ Noelle in his home) 😭
The spicy parts were tingly!!!!

We first met Tinsley Snow during Primal Urges but you don’t need to read that story to love this one. Tinsley is on the run and escaping her former boss who assaulted her and caused her pregnancy. She ends up in the small town of Jackson, Wyoming, full of charming and caring folks. She get a job and meets Nicolai Saint. He is ready to retire. His finally ready for a family and falls hard for Tinsley. Highly recommended if you like Hallmark movies and spice!

Christmas magic

While an unfortunate and extremely sad thing led Tinsley to be pregnant with sweet Pixie she does end up in the path of toy store owner Nicolai. Nico loves Tinsley at first sight and immediately puts plans into effect to not only claim her as his own but to give her and pixie everything they could need. Tinsley does return the attraction after she first meets Nico however it was a week later. This would have been a 5 star review for me but with the pregnancy playing such a huge part in the story I wanted the birth and a look at parenthood for these two that we just didn’t get. It was really birth, end.
