Holtham (Cloak and Dagger, Jessica Jones) joins forces with artist Sean Damien Hill for a blockbuster brawl with the fate of all Krakoa at stake!
I cannot believe the absolute amatuer artwork this book has. The artist drew some of the ugliest renditions of Armor and Surge I've ever seen. I mean... who would ever pay this dude for a comission at a convention? I just have to imagine Marvel paid him with Happy Meal coupons or something.
The tricky thing about reading Marvel Comics for me is always the issue with continuity. If you're not an avid reader you're bound to have questions, to seek out more information and context to fill in the story you're reading. War College is a good read, but I can't really say much at this point. The issue did set up a whole other storyline I look forward to seeing unfold—I'm wondering about the direction and what they intend to do with it. Hopefully the story will be a little clearer with the second issue, and reaudng is up on the happenings of the volumes that preceded Bishop's War College.
X-Men comics are hard for me to stay up to date on closely. I’m not always keen to grab Marauders here, Captain Britain there, and Legion of X tomorrow in order to be able to read War College next issue. It’s a lot. I think I’ll stick with this one, though.
Always loved Bishop since I was a kid because of the X-Men 90’s cartoon. Cool to see him lead his own team of gifted youngsters. I’m onboard.
One star. Mostly for the artwork. Everyone looked a little inhuman, and a lot ugly. But beyond that, people's motivations and personalities came across as muted and unrealistic. This is just an awful issue.
Coming off the last couple issues of “X-Men Legends,” I was definitely ready for some more Bishop. This creative team is entirely new to me, and it was a job well done. I love the writing and the art. And what a cliffhanger!
Esbarrei em uma thread no twitter sobre essa HQ e me interessei por essa possibilidade de todos os mutantes serem negros e os outros humanos brancos. Parece promissor.
