A Crazy Country Love Song

Rate this book
Alex -

I'm done being abused, and I'd rather die than see anyone hurt my son. So we’re fleeing to the hopeful safety of my aunt's house in Cypress Bayou, Texas.

The small town is filled with some quirky, yet caring people - not to mention the sexy mechanic who worms his way behind my defenses, under my skin, and into my heart. It seems like we've finally found the home we've always dreamed of.

But my dreams rarely come true and it seems like this will be yet another lost dream. My past refuses to let me go and intends to bring me back by any means necessary.

Denver -

I never would have imagined my life would change so completely when I stopped to help a gorgeous woman and her son at the side of the road. Alex and her son steal my heart and flip my world upside down, showing me everything I never even knew was missing from my life.

Alex thinks she’s safe, but I know better. I can feel the storm coming. The only questions are how he will strike, and when. He won’t let them live away from him, and I won’t let them be snatched from me.

Filled with adrenaline-pumping action, quirky townspeople, and humorous situations, this book offers plenty of heart and heat with a story of a woman healing and finding her inner strength, her happiness, and where she belongs.

A Finding Home Story

A Crazy Country Love Song is the start of a beginning new series by Addison Micks. It’s a story of a young mom finding her inner strength while running from a bad situation. In the process she discovers home is where she makes it. It just happens to be in small town Texas with her aunt and new friends. It’s a sweet cozy romance with a HEA, so curl up in your favorite reading spot and dive right in. The secondary characters are great and I’m looking forward to reading their stories!

This story has it all--a great RomCom!

A strong storyline, lead characters you will root for, side characters you want to know more about and see get their HEA, lots of sizzling HEAT, action, and lots of laughter: this book has it all. Additionally, Alex and Danver managed to portray what love after trauma looks like in a way that was compelling and honest, but not heavy and full of angst. I love how Addison wrote their story, and I think you will too.

Alex and Denver

This romantic story by a brand new author has all the makings of a perfect romance book. A protective blue collar hero, A strong down on her luck single mom, A bit of angst and drama, A nosy small town that limes to interfere a dash of humor and of course the Happy Ever After.

This slow burn of a love story starts with Alex fleeing her abusive ex-boyfriend with her son, James. As she settles into her new life, living with her Aunt Moe in Cypress Bayou, Texas, she takes the time to focus on healing herself - the outward scars heal a lot faster than the ones on the inside. Thanks to the love and (sometimes comical) support of her aunt and her new friends, she realizes how strong she is and starts going after what she wants in life - mainly the sexy mechanic next door, Denver, who has made it clear he wants her, but he's willing to wait for her to be ready.

Filled with humor and steamy scenes, this is a beautiful love story of a woman finding her inner strength and going after the love and happiness both she and her son deserve.

While it may have a slower build at the beginning, that was purposeful. I wanted to tell Alex and Denver's story in a realistic light. Alex is in no place for a relationship in the beginning. She needs to start by focusing on herself and her son before she's ready to devote any of herself to a relationship... even if it's hard for her at times, because damn. Denver is all that and more!
