Love Match Legacy #2

The Oscar Escape

Rate this book

He’ll stop at nothing to give her the escape she desperately needs—even if it means losing her forever.

Pop Princess Goes Berserk isn’t the headline Aria Paige-Grant ever wanted to read about herself. Unfortunately, it fits the daughter of rock star royalty to a T. When the paparazzi catch her in an epic public meltdown, her only saving grace is her best friend, Oscar Elliott. With his identity obscured by his gray hoodie, the man swoops in out of nowhere, throws her over his shoulder, and the pair disappear into the night.

Sure, there’s chatter about her outburst. But the real gossip that’s got the world on pins and needles is whether she’ll make it to her last concert stop, and if she does, will she be accompanied by her mystery hooded protector?

They’re good questions. Too bad she doesn’t have any answers.

Aria won’t admit it, but she needs a break from the demands of celebrity life. That’s when Oscar takes matters into his own hands, calls in a favor, and orchestrates an escape. To be fair, it’s more of a half-cocked plan to keep the pop princess out of the public eye. He’ll stop at nothing to give her what she needs—well, what he thinks she needs—even if it forces him to play fast and loose with the truth.

But when a lie takes on a life of its own , what started as a well-intentioned escape snowballs into an all-consuming attraction. Hidden away and unable to fight their feelings, Aria and Oscar dive into the friends-with-benefits end of the pool. Nothing counts when everything is on the down-low, right? Or does everything count when two hearts are on the line?

Once again, our elusive, mystical matchmaker extraordinaire, Madelyn Malone, is on the job. When pop star, Aria Paige-Grant, has run herself ragged trying to hit double platinum, it's time for an intervention. Or an escape, if you will. With a little nudge from Madelyn, Aria's lifetime friend, Oscar Elliott, happens to be in the right place at the right time and whisks her away to a little island off the coast of Maine.

Aria is still every bit that fiery second grader who had no compunction about putting a bully in his place, and Oscar is still that same protector who stepped in to save her. Mostly from herself. But he's also the guy still broken-hearted over what he's lost and carrying a guilt he doesn’t own. And Aria is still driving herself to attain a degree of perfection that no one has ever asked of her. Watching them work through their issues individually while figuring out their forever is messy, authentic, cathartic, and inspiring.

This one is equal parts hilarity and heart, providing for the most thrilling and enchanting emotional ride. From the childhood habit of tapping bad words with a foot rather than speaking them aloud to prose so exquisitely picturesque I could hear every note of the music they represented, it's a glorious feast for the senses that captivated my heart at every turn.

This series is pure magic dipped in charm, with each book somehow better than the last, and it's one I’m not nearly ready to say goodbye to. Of all the book worlds I’ve visited, Havenmatch Island is the one I wish with all my heart were real so I could experience it in person. The spirit of New England is captured perfectly in the sights, sounds, smells, and the townsfolk, with secrets, history, and surprises wherever you look.

Sandor won me over to the nanny trope with the first book in this series, and since then I’ve never looked back. It feels like I’ve lived a lifetime with these characters, and once you dive into this world, your romantic heart will never be the same. Oscar and Aria's story deserves all the stars, or Maine lobsters (IYKYK), and it's easily one of my top five reads for the year. Full of humor, heat and heart, you absolutely, positively don’t want to miss this one!

This starts with a super fast beat and never slows down. And isn’t that just fitting for a rockstar on the edge of bad decisions and clinical exhaustion? Trust me, Aria will have you worrying for her sanity, her well-being, her relationship, and probably her hand before she’s done with her opening act. I felt her exhaustion so clearly. Her borderline breakdown moment comes screeching to a halt by the one man she doesn’t want to see, and that’s where the mayhem really begins!

Oscar might see Aria clearer than anyone else, but he sure doesn’t see some important things until it’s almost too late. His rush to save her coincides with her own ability to save herself, as well as the expertise of some familiar faces from books before. Between Clawdia adventures, kidnapping attempts by a narcissist, deliberate manipulation of emotions and self worth by the same narcissist, encouragement by people who might not really be strangers after all, and a few people who help Oscar catch a clue, this is a true Krista gem. She brings the corny without feeling too OTT, the love with some serious heat and humor, and loads of laughs. I mean, what else would a celebrity and her one true lobster need, if not a spectacular way to start their forever together? Oh, maybe a Clawdia Junior. Because I won’t lie, I kinda needed her too.

A perfect ending to the spin-off series! My heart is so happy right now after watching Aria and Oscar all grown up and getting their own happy endings.

From start to finish, this has been one of the best reading journeys. Starting with the Nanny Love Match series, then to have the kids we fell in love with in those books, get their own stories in the spin-off Love Match Legacy series - it's a true labor of love.

Aria is literally working herself to death in order to prove that she belongs in the music industry like her parents.

Oscar is the childhood friend that will do anything to keep her safe, even if that includes from herself.

I loved all of the appearances by previous characters, and the easter eggs that tie the books together were such a joy to discover.

I can't recommend this series enough, but fair warning that once you read the first one, you'll want to binge them all.

These characters are all so near and dear to my heart, I'm sad that their journeys are over, but I'll definitely be revisiting them again soon.

I was honoured to receive an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Even though this is the last book in the series (Number 7) this is a great stand alone book but the characters interconnect with the previous books so you can get away without reading the previous books before this one (but truthfully I would recommend reading them all as they are all great reads)

Oscar & Aria are a perfect love match, they have been best friends ever since they first met as kids.

After Aria confronts her douche-cannoe of a boyfriend cheating on her she dumps him, eventually Oscar takes her to a seaside getaway where the island is obsessed with lobsters 🦞🦞.

Includes a fake relationship that becomes more, LOTS of criminal hysterical incidents. Lots of Switcheroo's!!!
Serious secrets that are being kept between the two which is ticking so loud it could all go kaplwey in their faces at any time. The question is will they both realise what they want in time before it is lost forever.

This is definitely higher than a 5 star review ⭐and I would recommend this book to anyone.

Oscar and Aria are a perfect match! I love the passion that both have for the things/people they love.

Aria is a fiery woman! She takes what she wants and pursues her dreams. Oscar takes things a little more easy going except when it comes to Aria! These two are straight fire together! I love that they don’t take the others crap but are also there to support the others!

I am so sad that this is it for the Nanny Match crew because this group (all of them) have a very special place in my heart and I love that we for two generations!

This sizzling romance is a definite must read this summer!

I am both absolutely thrilled with this book and the way this series has closed and both so saddened that this series is now closed.

The Nanny Match from the original couples through the legacy couples has been one of my favorites since the first book published.

Oscar and Aria were the perfect ending to this series and the perfect final match.
This book made me both laugh out loud (I was reading outside by the way - my neighbors think I may have "issues") and it made me cry. Widows in cemeteries will do that to a woman. It made me switch between laughing out loud and sniffling with tears at the same time.

These characters have literally grown up through this series. The author has written such a magical interwoven found family.

I loved how this story circles back to a lot of the demons that all of the couples have struggled with in different ways.

Oscar was a half orphan when he lost his mother unexpectedly and his father was suddenly back in his life as his sole support. Aria was an orphan suddenly with her uncle as her only caregiver. These two are bound by loss.

Oscar and Aria were raised by women who have been the closest and best of friends since childhood. They have known the deepest highs, lows and secrets of each other. As have Oscar and Aria as that is how their friendship started.

This book then takes that love and that bond deeper.
Oscar has picked up traits from all three of his parents. His father's drive for perfection. His mother's instincts for mixing and mingling things that don't seem to match up perfectly, yet do. And finally his Charlotte's eye for observation and art. All of these things mean he sees his Aria in ways that the others don't. He sees her hurts. He sees her drive. He also senses when she is edging towards a fall that will break her and possibly end her.

Aria has her uncle and her parent's fiery drive. She has her adopted Aunt Harper's constructed EAT WORMS WORLD personality. Aria Paige Grant is HERE and she is a tiny little bonbon fueled source of power that WILL be reckoned with. If that force doesn't chew her up from the inside out and spit her soul out of her broken body first. Aria is the classic "anything they can do, I can do. And I can do it better." You do NOT get in her way. What does stop her? Is asking her things like "Are you happy?" and "How happy are you?" "Who are you?" "Does this make you whole?" because even driven eat worms girls know - those are the important things in life. They also don't like it when people who genuinely care about them ask those questions. Particularly when the world seems to be pushing every single one of their buttons, things are a tiny tad bit out of their control and you want to have a zen soul searching talk about happiness RIGHT NOW.
Yes. I highly identify with Aria. And it was....amusing, heart breaking, hysterical, and soothing all at once and with sharp edges at times.

As with Oscar and his ingredients that don't seem to go along together you'd think that he and Aria would be be like magnets pushing each other away. But it's actually the reverse. They each sooth and strengthen things in each other that they need in order to maintain a core calm in themselves. At 16 and 21 this is horrifyingly big, expansive, and in most cases with people who have experienced such traumatic losses - devastating. Depending on circumstances and personalities, you will have varying reactions. Some run. Some lean in. Some freeze. Some ignore. Aria and Oscar sort of do all of the above at different times in this book.

Until they can't any more.
Both are spiraling in various ways and both need the other to stop the spiral. They are after all, the magnets that match each other's half.

The author did a beautiful job of not only allowing her characters to come into their own personalities and grow into their own discoveries she also masterfully wove in the final bits and pieces of all of the Nanny Match couples. From the original core 4 to the the children of those couples.

We finally get to meet key individuals from all of the adults lives and see how the smallest of interactions have lead these families to where they are today.
While Madelyn will forever remain some deep mysterious ways, even she allows us glimpses into her past and how she came to find the perfect matches and men who needed these women as nannies at just the right minute. She also explains a bit about how she knew these children needed each other in their lives at those times as well.

Landon opens himself more which is always a lovely thing to read. Mitch emotes (I was shocked as well. I'm sure that Charlotte has it on film)

Foot tapping has remained a staple and frankly I think I'm going to teach the young ones in my life this lovely little trick. There are some littles and not so littles who have a need for this.

This is a well written and well fought HEA. It's one that Oscar, Aria, and even the reader isn't sure what the proper answer is until almost the last chapter. Or even the last page. The author very much poured all of her love for her characters and this little bubble into this book and it clearly shows.

I have to say I was still giggling to myself over sped up security footage as I went to bed after finishing this book. I will be forever grateful for a few things.
1- there wasn't any social media when I was in college
2- there aren't any cab cams in any vehicle I drive
3- both the security footage of Aria triumphantly retrieving her bon bons and Aria experiencing road rage at 3x speed up cab cam footage. "tiny angry mouse" will forever be an image stuck in my head.

Thank you for this book. It was the perfect ending to a series I have loved and will adore. I look forward to my many rereads.

A wonderful end to a marvelous series

This is the final chapter in the Nanny Love Match and Legacy Series and to say that I am heartbroken is an understatement. It was so wonderful to watch the original couples paired off and we saw their stories unfold, but then Sandor gifted us with the Love Match Legacy series and we followed three other couples get their Love Match. Now, we are the end of this wonderful gathering of friends, family, and found families with Oscar and Aria’s story and I can’t say enough good things about this book.

To say this pair has a rocky romantic story is an understatement, although this was a hysterical story with so many twists and turns and laughs along the way that I can’t count how many times I had to put my Kindle down just to chuckle at a snarky Aria comment or sigh at a toe tap or a Second Grade Swap… if you don’t know what these mean check out this book to get the full story… that all had wonderful echos back to the stories from Aria and Oscar’s childhoods. This is a true Love Letter to the series and to the fans that have been reading along.

If you want to feel like you are a member of this marvelous collection of friends and family. If you want to laugh and sigh or if you want to root for love to triumph over all the vagaries that fate can throw at this pair, then grab a copy of this book. Settle in with a good cup of your favorite and just immerse yourself in this all to real world of the Nanny Love Match. You’ll be looking for a little hint of a red scarf as you turn a corner and hoping that will be your signal your Match has been made for you and your person has been found, because based on the track record in this book I’m waiting to see that scarf myself.

I read this as a Review Copy and the above is my honest review of this book

Looking for a fun and easy read- then look no further- Krista Sandor has you covered. The Oscar Escape is the perfect little story to pair the last of the OG Nanny Love Match kids together with so much fun, heart and heat between the mini hothead Oscar Elliot and the sassy musical prodigy Aria Paige-Grant.

The Oscar Escape is a second generation series for the Nanny Love Match series- so while it certainly can be enjoyed on it's own- I think to really get the little nuances and all of Oscar and Aria's personalities and backgrounds it really is best read after reading the previous series or at least their caregivers stories (The Nanny and the Hothead and The Nanny and the Heartthrob).

This book is everything I could have never dreamed for Aria and Oscar. I love second generation books and getting to see the kids I adored all grown up as well as all those little personality traits they inherited from their parents/caregivers. Oscar still had his quiet yet powerful presence with a bit of his dad's hot head tendencies while Aria has her "Eat Worms" attitude, her Aunt Harper's sass and love of sweets and the musical talent and drive from her uncle and parents. And just like I hoped, their connection as children translated into one hell of a "falling for your best friend" story- only I didn't anticipate the rift that Krista was squeezing in there adding this extra little bit of drama and playground for Aria's sassy side to shine.

Oscar might be quiet and a bit broody but good lord can he ramp up some heat! Once the feeling were let out these two wasted no time hopping like bunnies at each other- and while it was sexy the undertones of humor and love shone through making me overly angry that I had to adult rather than read.

I hate to see the Nanny/Love Match crew go but I can't wait to see what Krista will bring us next!!

4.5⭐️

An absolute gem. Let me just say, this book took me on a personal and exhilarating journey that left me breathless. From the very first chapter, I was completely captivated by the characters and the irresistible allure of Hollywood.

What struck me most about The Oscar Escape was the raw and palpable chemistry between Oscar and Aria. Their connection felt so real, so tangible, that it ignited a flurry of emotions within me. I found myself rooting for their love, their happiness, and their escape from the suffocating pressures of fame. Krista's ability to bring these characters to life and make them relatable was nothing short of magical.

As I delved deeper into the pages, I was transported into the glitzy and glamorous world of Hollywood. The author's descriptive prose painted a vivid and immersive picture that made me feel like I was right there, walking the red carpet alongside the characters. The attention to detail and the passion with which Krista brought this world to life were awe-inspiring. I could practically hear the camera flashes and feel the adrenaline of the awards season.

In conclusion, Oscar and Aria's story is a personal and breathtaking journey that will sweep you off your feet and leave you yearning for more. It's a book that reminded me of the power of love, the price of fame, and the importance of finding one's own path. Krista Sandor has created a masterpiece that will linger in my heart long after I've closed the final page. If you're ready to embark on an emotional rollercoaster filled with romance, glamour, and soul-stirring moments, then don't miss out on this extraordinary read.

Well the end to the Love match saga couldn’t end with a better couple.Aria and Oscar have been drawn to each other since they first meet as children. Now all these years later when Aria really needs him he swoops in to save the day. This book will bring you all the feels, make you laugh, cry and make you feel warm and gooey inside. She is stubborn and pigheaded and he’s got more sass than you can shake a stick at. Oscar is a brooding artist who can be equally stubborn which can be difficult for the two of them but there is so much feeling between the two of them that they’ve been denying for years is their feelings for each other they just put it down back in the corner and just ignore it and hopefully it goes away. They’ve been perfect for each other since they were children but now is adults they’re just even more stubborn than they were as children. Refusing the idea that she might need help he has to make her realize that no you’re gonna get my help cause you do need it. And watching them rediscover each other after years of being apart and finding their rhythm and watching them fall in love was everything I ever wanted an so much more. There are trials and tribulations that they have to work through but they figure it out. There is so much Hijinx and craziness that happens along the way which makes it that much more enjoyable. I am so glad that they got their happily ever after because they deserve it. I am so grateful that these stories came into my life. I highly recommend them to anyone.

OVERALL RATING – 5

First my usual points:
- I do not do spoilers unless warned.
- Read the summary above; it will tell you what the book is about. I will not reiterate.
- This is a standalone but the final in a 2nd generation series. Best enjoyed in order
- No errors that I caught as far as editing.
- The author was not new to me.

BOOK:
- Cover adequately reflects the story
- Genre/troupe: contemporary romance
3rd person deep POV alternating
Characters from other books make appearances

Star Ratings - 1 (poor) - 5 (READ THIS BOOK)
• Writing Quality: 5 stars
• Story ingredient: 5 stars
• Ease of reading/Pace: 5 stars
• Plot strength: 5 stars
• Steam Level: 5 stars

Notes/Opinion (personal):
Oscar and Aria are perfect for each other; what one lacks, the other has and they balance each other perfectly. My bottom line is just read it! Read all of them! I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed so much at a series in my many years of reading.
As the conclusion to two interconnected series and a second generation series, I went into reading this book with a touch of melancholy. However like the prior two series, we are left knowing that these ‘Friends’ we have come to love will ‘be okay’ (IYKYK) and we can move on. Well done, Ms. Sandor, well done.

Genuinely cannot believe I bothered to finish this book.

I'm supposed to believe that these characters are in their mid to late 20s, when they use phrases like "naughty-down-there-parts" and "normal penis thing"??? Sure they can say cock but not any adult reference for a vagina?

Are you joking? I cannot believe more reviews haven't mentioned how WEIRD that is.

That's not even addressing the storyline itself.

A huge suspension of belief is required to follow along with the story. Pop star disappears on multiple occasions and breaks the law in big ways on multiple occasions, and it's apparently totally fine. They get media involved in an island project as if the mainlan they are marekting to don't know who she is? Evil exboyfriend randomly popping in when the story needs a "real villain"

Also, what's with the mention of every single person on the island? What's with FMC referring to MMC by his full name the whole time?

The proposal thing was cute but really should have waited. They built up how she was gonna do things differently but didn't really showcase what she ended up doing instead? New material? Acoustic versions of all her songs?

If I paid to see an artist for a specifc album, I would be pretty pissed if they didn't play a single thing from the album, or if everything they played was significantly different to the studio version because then you can't sing along.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

An absolute perfect way to end this whole entire series! I have just loved getting to read the 2nd generation of nanny books with the kids stories! Both Oscar and Aria are kids from the Nanny Love Match series so even though it can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading those first! There are so many nods to those books with little details throughout it all that added the perfect touches to this story!

Aria and Oscar’s story had me laughing and swooning the whole time with the incredible banter, amazing chemistry and many hilarious moments! It’s a RomCom with a fake dating/marriage storyline that was so well developed and engaging!

Aria and Oscar are childhood friends but now Aria is now a famous singer and Oscar a photographer. Both of these jobs came full circle from their parents books which I loved!! This book takes you on the journey to their love match as Aria is burnt out from singing career and Oscar comes to her rescue out of no where. It doesn’t end there as they end up on an island and it is just the beginning! There was always something happening that will keep you hooked into the story! You can expect everything from lighthouses to lobsters to bonbons! It is just a fun and enjoyable book that had me falling in love with Aria and Oscar! I’m so sad to see this series come to an end as I will miss all these characters!

Love Match Legacy, #2

Aria Paige-Grant came from music royalty. She's 24 and determined to be a double platinum artist in less than a year and time was running out.
"Because you've got your mother's grit and your father's dedication."

Her shows were killing her but she's determined. After her last concert she was in so much pain she took pain killers, whiskey and muscle relaxers and then finds out her boyfriend was cheating on him so she goes to confront him at a club and of course it's all caught on camera. Headlines were that she was having a meltdown and had gone berserk. When she was taken out of the venue by a guy in a hoodie that only added fuel to the fire of kidnapping threats.

Oscar Abrams Elliott was the guy in the hoodie and has known Aria since they were kids. He has loved her forever but has stayed away for the last 4 years but realizes she needs an escape from her life so he grabs her and takes her away to an island off the coast of Maine.

"No more secrets. No more distance."

On the island they have quite the adventure and it brings them back together. But Aria still has one more concert to go. Will she go back to what she was or be true to herself?

"Once something is a part of your heart, you'll always have it with you."

The last book of the Love Match Legacy series is here and it was definitely sweet escape!!

Madelyn Malone is once again working her love match making magic and coming to the rescue. Now is Oscar Elliots and Aria Paige-Grant's turn for a love divine intervention in the form of a sweet escape.

Aria is a rockstar singer following in the path of her famous family and she has goals that she needs to achieve but in the process she is literally working herself to the point she is making bad decisions and driving herself to complete exhaustion.

Oscar Elliot has been Aria best friend since he moved with his dad after his mother's passing. From afar he is been looking into Aria's life and he knows he needs to do something in order to help the woman he loves. So he comes with a plan to help her and that's were their escape begins.

This book was amazing from beginning to end. They are so many entertaining, romantic and sexy moments that keep me glued to this story. Oscar and Aria were always meant to be together but their bumpy road and insecurities along the way makes their story the perfect story because they learned that in order to be complete they need each other.

This is the last book in the Nanny match/Love Match series, and it really should be read after reading the previous books. This is the story of Aria Paige-Grant, rock star royalty who is weighed down by living up to her family legacy, and Oscar Elliot who is fighting his love for Aria, by globetrotting and living a nomad life.
When Oscar sees that Aria is on the brink of collapse and shows no sign of veering off her path of self destruction, he knows he has to intervene. In order to do that, he stages an Oscar escape and takes Aria to a place that no one will guess, but will help her regain her health. Hyped up on cold medicine, muscle relaxants and whisky, Aria goes a little crazy and ends up having to help the islanders with their festival planning. But neither Oscar nor Aria can escape the magic of Madelyn Malone, the love matchmaker that matched their parents and guardians and brought them into each others lives many years ago.
This is a fitting end to the series and with the usual wit, sass and sizzling chemistry, it grabs you from the first page and keeps you wanting more. Loved it.

Oscar and Aria grew up together we have all read about the toe-tapping foursome who captured our hearts from the very beginning. Well, now it's time for Oscar and Aria to get their story. No one has seen Oscar for a while and they are all worried about him. He's off living a dream of capturing pictures through his lens. Aria is living her own kind of dream or maybe it's a nightmare. She has a goal to make platinum before it's too late. She wants to prove that she can do what her parents did but in her own way. She's chasing demons we didn't even know about. When things start to spiral Oscar is there out of nowhere. However, he never really left her not really. Oscar has always kept an eye out on Aria and when he notices things well it's time to take matters into his own hands. With some meddling loveable old ladies he has that chance. Aira has no idea what she is in for when Oscar takes her to a little island. Now these two not only have to fight their attraction, but also their past, and sometimes that may be worse. Can the get through it all and come out on top? I just love these stories.

I put the release date for Aria and Oscar’s story in my calendar to ensure that I read it as soon as it was released. The book 100% lived up to the hype and excitement!! It kept me drawn in, to the point of reading it in one sitting. At multiple points, I burst out laughing loud enough for my husband to grow concerned. I’m tempted to find my very own Clawdia Junior stuffed plush to order right this moment!

In all honesty, this is a hilarious, heartwarming, fantastic continuation of the Love Match series. The world building between the two series continues strongly and Krista has given us yet another fabulous addition.

While you *could* read this as a standalone, I wouldn’t recommend it- start from the original Nanny Love Match series to get the full effect of the inside jokes and the hidden easter eggs! Even having read the other 5 books, I had no idea at the twists and turns this book would take, pulling in the smallest details from the past books that makes me think Krista has one of those crime scene police boards to plot all of the intricacies.

You will laugh out loud, smile like a lunatic, and cry with this book!

Oscar and Aria’s story may be the last in the Nanny Matchmaker series, but it still packs a magical punch that seems to have been brewing for a long time and I fell in love hard with it. When Oscar sees that Aria is pushing herself to the edge of too much he knows he needs to step in and take her away so she can see that she needs time to gather herself. Seeing how far Aria has come from the little girl we saw her in her uncle’s book it amazes me because she is at the top of her game being a huge star in Hollywood, but she is pushing herself way too hard. Oscar has loved her forever and he is too on a destructive path but can he help them both? This story is so emotional with all the humor we expect to see from all the books before, but the connection between Oscar and Aria is one that can’t be denied because they burn bright together and fit so perfectly. I absolutely adore all the characters from the older generations to the new ones because you know you will always get the humor, steam, and love the author creates so perfectly!! You can’t fight Madelyn Malone and the magic that is her matchmaking.

This story right here is a must read! If you read the Nanny series, you get Oscar and Aria all grown up here, and what a beautiful, touching story it was! 5 love match stars but it deserves so much more!
Aria is fighting to achieve a goal she has set, to prove everyone wrong, that she's not just like her mother, she's her own star in her own right, but at what cost will she go to get this? The one person who knows her better than herself, Oscar, is watching from afar, well not that far, but he's keeping his eye on her, he knows she is burning the candle at both ends, and he wants to rescue her, escape with her to keep her safe at any cost.
Join in their journey as Oscar whisks her away to the coast of Maine, a place that holds his most cherished memories, where he hopes to show her that she's more than just his friend! But will the foot tapping, eat worms Aria, finally surrender to her true feelings?
I devoured this long anticipated story, and Krista did not disappoint! Grab this one asap! You will love it!

This is Oscar Elliott and Aria Paige-Grant’s friends to lovers journey and it’s a wonderful addition to the Love Match Legacy Series. If you are looking for an entertaining read with wonderful characters look no further than The Oscar Escape.
Oscar and Aria are best friends but she has got herself into a situation and she now needs to be rescued. Desperate to escape the life she has with a celebrity has her turning to her best friend Oscar and he doesn’t think twice about stepping up to become her knight in shining armour.
So what does the future hold for these besties and what happens when their secret gets out……guess you need to read the book to find that out.
This was a wonderful, entertaining read that captivated from the first page and didn’t let me go until the final word was read. I become part of the secret as Oscar and Aria explored their feelings for each other. I smiled, I swooned and at times I held my breath as lines are crossed. A entertaining read that I highly recommend.

It's Aria and Oscar's turn for some Love Match magic. One of the many things I loved about this book is we get little glimpses of the kids we first fell in love with. The quirky shenanigans I love from this Love Match world were back in full force. I loved Heavenmatch Island. Some really great moments happen there. The citizens of that small island are so awesome. I love how some of the characters are so intertwined. This book made me laugh from beginning to end. I just love this Love Match bunch so much. It was tough seeing Aria struggling so much, but Oscar comes to her rescue and takes her somewhere to slow it down to reflect. Though that didn't go quite as planned. Oscar and Aria do a lot of soul searching in this one. I love Oscar's little sister Ivy to pieces. She's a spitfire, but so adorable. The ending of this one is so Love Match material. This a book that makes you laugh, but also packs the heart and feels. Aria and Oscar also have burning hot chemistry. I really loved this book! Any fan of this series is going to love this one.

First, I love this author's books, so I don't know if I was in a weird mood because it took me a long time to finish this story. I read all the others in this series and the series before, so I knew what I was getting into. I love friends-to-lovers so I don't know if the quirkiness of the story wasn't hitting right with me or if it was something else. Basically Oscar and Aria are the same as they were as kids, just with adult problems and adult fun times. I loved that Oscar came to Aria's rescue (something that Aria has a hard time with) as she burns her candle at both ends. The place they escape to is different and Aria tries to hide her identity as her shenanigans puts her front and center with the island's residents. The marriage of convenience trope is fun and the two definitely put that to good use as they finally face their feelings for each other. I did love that they had to use the help of all those around them to work through the issues they had been running from. And, I could relate to Oscar when it came to his numbers too.

4.5 Stars. Just like the title says ‘Escape’, when you read a Krista Sandor book that is what you will get. Escape from the real world and dive into a lot of laughs, love, sexual chemistry and friendships along with a happy ever after. I know when I read one of her books that I am going to be happy and heart oozing love.
Of course Oscar and Aria are perfect for each other, I mean Madelyn Malone was involved. Oscar and Aria finally admitted how much they loved each other and committed to no lies. The Drifter And Dreamer settled down in lahbster town. It was a perfect ending!
My favorite quote in this book because it is so true! “This sacrifice isn’t one of flesh and bone, but of mind and spirit. From this moment forward, you sacrifice selfishness. In its place, you open your hearts to generosity, compromise, and to love-a love that is constant and sustaining as the rhythm of the surf meeting sand.” Love this quote hard Krista Sandor!

What a wonderful way to wrap up this series! Aria is highly determined to prove to the world that she is more than just her famous parents daughter and is a rockstar in her own right. She has plans to achieve double platinum status by the end of the year. Oscar, her best friend and secret crush, is just as determined to stop her. He thinks she is killing herself in the process. Not to mention, there have been threats to her life. Oscar escapes with her to a special place from his childhood to regroup and rest. While there, with the help of the greatest group of secondary characters, Aria and Oscar will find their way to each other as well as what is important in life. It's not the easiest path to get there but it is so satisfying. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness! Such a great series!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book!

The Oscar Escape is a great read from Krista Sandor.

Aria has just found out her boyfriend is cheating via gossip sites on the internet. When she is caught at the wrong moment by paparazzi, her best friend Oscar is the one there for her. Despite being friends for years their relationship is complicated. It was interesting watching them work through their own issues and the ones they had together. They were well matched and had no shortage of chemistry as their relationship developed.

This is one of my favorite stories from Krista, and I loved getting to see some familiar characters from previous books. If you have read the series or the Nanny series it is fun to see them, but if not you won't be lost and can read this as a standalone.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
