The fifth-generation Echo Dot looks almost physically identical to the fourth-generation model. It’s a slightly squat 3.9-by-3.5-inch sphere (HD) available in light blue or white. The sphere is split diagonally, with the top and forward half covered in grille fabric and the bottom and back half bound in matte plastic. Four rubber buttons (action, mic mute, and volume up and down) protrude from the fabric along the top of the sphere. A light ring runs around the flat base; it glows blue when you interact with Alexa and will focus a particularly bright point to indicate the direction from which it registered the voice command. Amazon has upgraded the internal speaker driver, but not by much. It’s slightly larger, measuring 1.73 inches across compared with the 1.6-inch driver of the fourth-generation Echo Dot. Despite the larger membrane, the newer speaker is an ounce-and-a-half lighter, at 10.7 ounces.

Not worth the money

The base information was in line with information from other books so from that perspective . BUT it was so poorly written as to be very difficult to understand. Apparently there was such a rush to get this book published that they skipped the proofreading and editing steps. There are better books available on this topic.

My echo Dot

Good thing I think is bad about Alexis is that when I ask for her to play music she constantly tries to sell me music from Amazon which is okay except for I can't afford it, also the base is too loud too much base. I find the likes a very helpful searching for information

I love my Amazon echo I use it every day. I am still learning all the things it does and plays.
