In fact, I don’t even want one. The last thing I want is marriage and kids. I enjoy my single life, thoroughly—thank you very much.
When I’m faced with yet another year of questions from well-meaning relatives, I decide a little white lie won’t hurt anyone, and say I’m dating. Actually, I tell them I’m quite serious about an imaginary man I dub, ‘Liam’. Not my finest hour.
It starts out quite innocent at first, but as the lie grows, I find myself promising that Liam will be joining us for Thanksgiving.

Christmas Insta-Cute
I really liked these cute reads. Most of them are quick, but there is one novel in the mix. While all were fun and steamy, I think The Not So Silent Night was my favorite from this collection.

Sugarplum 🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Overly Bossy
3.5 stars - While not one of my favorites from Megan Wade, the second half of the book was cute and steamy. For the first half, I wasn't keen on either of them for different reasons - Lincoln for being a giant dill weed and Emma for essentially acting the part of a doormat.
Yes, something that Lincoln is sure to make happen. 😉
Son of a Nutcracker 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Christmas Ambrosia
Completely over-the-top Instalove that's also incredibly sweet and very steamy. 🔥🔥🔥 Jackson and Sophia are cute. Every woman deserves a bit of Jackson in her man!
I liked the characters a lot, including Sophia's family. They add A LOT of color.

Double entendre? Check.
Chemistry? Most definitely!
Bella planned for a quick trip home for the holidays. What she finds when she gets there turns her world 'round. The new neighbor, Ryder, sets her on fire! It's a SERIOUS case in insta-love as these two give and receive some unexpected, unplanned Christmas gifts.
Beneath all of that is some heartbreak and some self-doubt. There is also plenty of courage and support. It's almost as sweet as it is steamy.

This was a cute book to start the year with. It was sad that Delaney felt the need to create a fictional boyfriend, but it leads her to cross paths with Nate, so it's not entirely horrible.
I like their instant attraction, even when Delaney mistakes the cues. Nate definitely had his work cut out for him!
Once they clear the air, I love their insatiable chemistry. Woo-wee, does it get hot up in here!
The book would not have been as enjoyable without Tommy and Aunty Joan. Tommy proves to be a really good big brother. And Aunty Joan...? Well, she has given me a life goal and I totally want to be like that when I'm near her age. 😘

This is a collection of 4 of the holiday theme stories by Megan Wade.
Sugar Plum - A Christmas workplace story about a boss secretly lusting for his assistant. Secretly she is just as receptive back. Contains a grumpy boss, sunshine employee, age gap and first time and lots of steaminess.
Son Of A Nutcracker - A very insta-love story that starts with a stranded couple on Christmas eve that continues into Christmas morning and they never part after that first night. Super steamy and has a great supporting cast in Sophie's family. The gran was a hoot.
The Not So Silent Night - An adorably cute insta-love story about a woman home for the holidays only to find the man of her dreams under the sink in her bathroom. The story takes place over the course of a day and you can see the two of them falling in love with each other at lightning speed. I loved that the parents were so accepting of the age-gap relationship.
Mine For the Holidays - Loved this one - it was a fake dating scenario that, of course, leads to true love. There's an element of the insta-love but they are slower to act on it than in other stories by the author. I loved that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows from the beginning and that both parties had to do a lot of soul-searching and fighting to get what they wanted from the relationship. Aunt Joan was an absolute hoot and I can only hope in my old age that I'm even a fraction as fun and cool as she was.

Son of a Nutcracker*****Enjoyed this, great way to experience the magical love of Christmas, perfect timing.
The Not So Silent Night**** Hilarious moments, Ryder is indeed handy yet hesitant. Slow burn into bold characters overcome and take a chance to fall in love.

This is a fab collection of holiday romances that were full of all things sweet but also had the steam I love in my stories ;P Interesting characters, clear world building and entertaining plots for each book has put this on my re-read shelf :D

Sugarplum - I thought Emma and Lincoln were good characters who I felt a connection to and believed in their connection and chemistry. I liked seeing them get everything they wanted. - 4 stars.
Son of a Nutcracker - Sophia and Jackson had good connection and chemistry, they were just what the other needed and they made a lovely couple. I felt a connection to them and believed in their connection. - 4 stars.
The Not So Silent Night - This short story moved along well, had some lovely moments, good chemistry, connection, understanding and supportive parents. I enjoyed the epilogues. - 3.5 stars.
Mine for the Holidays - This is a sweet and sexy little read with good characters and a good storyline. It has good chemistry, romance, drama and a slice of humour. A good read. - 4 stars.

A compilation of the author's "Sugar Promise" Christmas stories. After "Deep, Deep Donuts" and her "Soulwink" stories ("Swipe for a Cosmo", etc), these are some of my favorites from Megan Wade. She is an expert at wonderful insta-love stories. I had only read one of these before, so I appreciated the selection! One of the things I really like about her books is the humor! So fun!
1. Sugarplum
Emma works for a super workaholic boss. Even though he is really hard to work for, she is infatuated with him and likes his bossiness, even though he is exasperating. Lincoln works in publishing, and the company is having trouble finding best-sellers and competing in publishing with the advent of self-publishing and digital books. He's on the brink of losing the company and is in love with Emma, but she's forbidden, because she works for him, and she's too good of an assistant to give up. He makes her miss Christmas with her family, to work on Christmas Eve, the creep! She is finally fed up and at midnight she quits, and this unleashes his desires, as she is now not forbidden. They get together (very steamily, of course) and in discussing why he is so stressed, Emma has some ideas that save the day for the company. Very nice story.
2. Son of a Nutcracker!
It looks like it will be a depressing Christmas for Sophia, as a bad storm has cancelled flights home from Boston. She has no food in her kitchen so she walks out and stops in the first diner she finds, which is also a depressing place with sad-looking mac'n cheese. There she meets Jackson, who got stood up by his sister for Christmas Eve. It's super insta-love for Jackson and almost as much for Sophia. They blow the diner and go a few blocks to an Irish pub for dinner. The storm is pretty bad when they're done eating, so they go to his place, which is close. Sophia is a virgin, but she knows he's the one. The seduction is very steamy and romantic. He had told her he wanted to claim her. Quote from Sophia: “Claiming sounds almost...pagan. Wild, animalistic, and carnal. It sounds...like everything I’ve always wanted and more.” Heh. They both have their wishes come true. Sophia's family is a hoot.
3. The Not So Silent Night
This one is pretty funny and I enjoyed it a lot. Ex-soldier Ryder moves next door to Bella's parents. He does some handyman work and they meet when she comes home for the holidays and finds him in the bathroom and they both get super surprised! He's got issues from his service time, but her support helps him. It's very sweet and romantic. I liked the way the PTSD issues are handled.
4. Mine for the Holidays
This story is a longer one (I think about 200 pages) and I really enjoyed it. Delaney is a very busy woman, with her own company and no time for a man. Her family pesters her about it all the time, so she has been lying to them about having a boyfriend. Then, oops, her family insists she bring him along on a holiday cruise. She hires Nate, a friend of her business partner's brother, to be her fake boyfriend, but they sizzle together! Very steamy! I liked that Delaney was a thirty-something woman, and not a college-age girl like so many romance stories. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved the characters.
Overall, a very nice Christmas selection!.

WOW – four great reads! The four books are Sugarplum with Emma and Lincoln; Son of a Nutcracker with Sophia and Jackson; The Not So Silent Night with Bella and Ryder; and Mine for the Holidays with Delaney and Nate. Four stories, with some being an older man/younger woman and others just starting as fake but ending up real!!!
Sugarplum - The boss and his young assistant! This is about Emma and Lincoln. Lincoln has been a grouchy boss from day one, but the office is circulating a pot of how long she will last, so she secretly puts one in and hopes to beat everyone. She does these crazy things to get back at him for being so mean, and Christmas eve is something else!!!
Son of a Nutcracker! - Two lost souls meeting up on Christmas Eve!! This is about Sophia and Jackson. Sophia is stuck in Boston as her flight was canceled due to the weather, so she is determined not to be stuck at home and ends up going to some greasy diner; when his sister stands up Jackson, he does the same and ends up meeting her. They both make sure that Christmas is not boring at all!!! Love it.
The Not So Silent Night - Next door neighbor to Husband! This is an older man/younger woman story. This is about Bella and Ryder. Bella is visiting her parents in Christmas town and does not realize that someone is in her bathroom fixing the sink until she walks in for a shower with only a towel!!! The handyman is no other than the next-door neighbor, Ryder. He leaves immediately as he thinks she is too pure and young, but that attraction goes both ways, and Bella cannot stay away from him.
Mine for the Holidays - Acting as a fake boyfriend to becoming husband before it ends! This is about Nate and Delaney. She has been doing her own thing, but her mother and aunt have always wanted her to find a man and settle down, but she has not had any luck with this. Nate meets Delaney and is attracted to her immediately, so he accepts the acting gig of being her boyfriend. It was a great story; the killer was what the family thought they were getting, but they were shocked to find out what Aunty was leaving behind!.

This book is a solid 3.5 stars of insta-love fun to read. Each story has an epilogue which is always a plus in my book.
1. Sugar Plum: 3 stars
This a story of the boss (Lincoln) and his personal assistant/secretary (Emma) who on the surface seem to not have chemistry. Once Emma tells Lincoln that she is quitting the two seem to finally have an insta-love story. Not my favorite of the books of this series, but still a nicely written story.
2. Son of a Nutcracker: 3 stars
Two main characters (Sophia and Jackson) have a sort of meet cute moment on a lonely Christmas Eve. They quickly find that they have chemistry and insta-love soon follows. Could never figure out how the title of the book came to be in regard to the story, but still a nice read.
3. The Not So Silent Night: 4 stars
I have read several of Megan Wade's books as one of my favorite things is to read a nice insta-love story. Megan's books always have interesting characters who find love quickly and forever with this book being no exception. To me it was fun to have a story based around a town called Christmas at Christmas time. If you're looking for a quick insta-love story for the holiday season this one might be the one for you.

You have to like/love insta-lust/love, etc. because otherwise you won't enjoy these ones. Also, it's open door activities.
#1 Sugarplum (Sweet Curves #4) **** Fun, fast and sexy. Mostly predictable with a few twists, it's a really enjoyable read. I think Lincoln kept the candies so Emma could keep her curves. LOL.
#2 Son of a Nutcracker! (Sugar Curves #8) **** Good funny sexy story. Loved the banter and how they met.
#3 The Not So Silent Night (Curves Just Wanna Have Fun #6) Although Ryder and Bella make a great couple, Bella came as desperate. Why would you leave the window open in the middle of a blizzard? It should have made a mess and lowered the temperature in the room but didn't. In his nightmares, Ryder has to leave Jerry behind because he won't make it. In reality: "In the U.S. Armed Forces, we don't leave anyone behind. It's one of the basic pillars of what the Army calls the Warrior Ethos.".
#4 Mine for the Holidays **** Desperate woman tries desperate measures: "Single woman seeks a dentist names Liam for the Holidays." So both Delaney and Nate thought the other was to die for but didn't say anything until the very end and I thought it was mostly a waste of time. Please speak! I did not like Tony from the get-go. He acted despicably all through the book. Poor Delaney lived through conditional love all her life. Not much better when Nate's father crashed his career... Aunty Joan was a hoot and I trust her when she says she'll replace her staff by male strippers. She's just there for the view not the action; she's 95 after all.

Lincoln Maverick just might be the biggest scrooge ever. While she finds him attractive, he seems to make her work longer that he does. It maybe why she is the fifth PA he has had this year, soon he will be looking for another. At midnight on Christmas Eve she is turning in her resignation, but he seems to be happy about it.
When Lincoln’s assistant resigns, it was the last thing holding him back, now she will be his.

I love Megan Wade, she writes the best hot and steamy stories about curvy women who always get their man. This has 4 stories in it and they are all swoon worthy reading.
Book 1 Sugarplum: Emma and Lincoln are hot. Emma is Lincoln's assistant and she is light to his grumpy but when she quits on him on Christmas he can finally get his woman.
Book 2 Son of a Nutcracker: When Jackson sees Sophia in a diner on Christmas Eve he sees his past, present and future. Loved this fast steamy instalove story.
Book 3 The Not So Silent Night: When Ryder moves next door to Bella's parents he does a bit of handyman work for them. When Bella meets him in her bathroom his handyman work takes on a different meaning. Great fun read!

All very steamy and happily ever after with wonderful characters romantic Christmas romances. First story Sugarplum Is a younger woman/older man office romance. This story was a lot of fun, loved the little paybacks Emma does to her boss Lincoln. Next is Son of a Nutcracker This is another younger woman/older man romance. Lots of heat and love at first sight Christmas romance. Sophia is stuck at her apartment and not able to go home for Christmas, so a blue Christmas for her. Until she meets a handsome man and the sparks fly. Next is The Not so Silent Night another older man/younger woman romance. Bella goes home for Christmas and meets her sexy neighbor for the first time in a very funny but embarrassing moment. Ryder a vet turned handyman is determined to stay away from his tempting but innocent next door neighbors young daughter but fun times and love prevail. Last is Mine For the Holidays. This is a fake boyfriend romance. This is like a meet cute. Delaney hires Nate to be her boyfriend for the holidays. Fake turns into real with a few bumps but love wins. All of the stories are sexy and have beautiful happily ever afters. Perfect Christmas reads.

This was a really cute boss employee romance. I loved the chemistry between Emma and Lincoln, there was such tension and it made for such an interesting story. If you’re into instalove then you can’t go wrong with a story by Megan Wade.

A Sugar Promise for Christmas is a sweet and steamy collection of four stories filled with likable characters, fun storylines, curvy heroines, and the sexy men that fall for them. This collection is instalove at its best and this author writes some great ones. I am reviewing two of the short, steamy Holiday romances.
The Not So Silent Night:
When Bella headed home to her parent's house for the holidays she never expected to find the hot, handyman, next door neighbor in the bathroom. At the drop of the towel, Ryder was instantly attracted to Bella and the cherry on top was their bedrooms facing each other. This is a fun, steamy holiday short story with a great ending.

When Bella headed home to her parent's house for the holidays she never expected to find the hot, handyman, next door neighbor in the bathroom. At the drop of the towel, Ryder was instantly attracted to Bella and the cherry on top was their bedrooms facing each other. This is a fun, steamy holiday short story with a great ending.

Captivating collection of seasonal novellas. I really enjoyed reading this range of Christmas holiday themed tropes from Megan Wade. Rosie & Lincoln are your typical enemies to lovers couple, in an office-based romance where Lincoln is her grumpy boss. Sophie & Jackson’s story is a meet cute/ forced proximity tale. Bella & Ryder portray the age-gap/damaged hero/small town situation – and this one feels especially Christmassy; Delaney & Nate enter a fake relationship to halt her family’s nagging and fixing her up with awful dates! All feature the ‘instalove’ situations that Megan Wade does well and there’s plenty of steam to melt the snow! An enjoyable seasonal read to curl up with on a cold holiday evening.

This is a collection of previously published standalone stories, every single one of the stories were part of 4 different collections and now they had been conveniently put together in this single book. Here we have 4 stories that are taking place during christmas but the theme of the relationship is different, and example is that the first one is an office romance, second is a chance encounter and etc. There fast paced, spicy, with no cheating and of course a HEA. ps. the author gives us a glimpse of their life 5 years later so is cool to see them.

All were sickingly sweet and soooo delicious 😋 🔥.
If you like Curvy girls and alpha men that knows what they want and get it, then this book is for you.
All are funny, insta love, a lot of Christmas magic and very sweet and spicy.
Even though it is short stories, they all have individual story lines and it flows well.
I like to read these kind of stories in between my dark books, as it helps me to unwind, laugh and fall in love with characters without breaking my heart.
Honestly give it a read to feel all the Christmas magic to warm you up and smile.

I enjoyed A Sugar Promise for Christmas: a BBW holiday collection. It has four Christmas stories that are short and sweet reads. I loved all four of the stories. There is Sugarplum, Son of a Nutcracker!, The Not So Silent Night and Mine For The Holidays. I really love reading holiday stories and these four do not disappoint. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

This book has four of Megan Wade's Christmas stories that she has written over the years. The stories are sweet but naughty and full of insta-love goodness. This set contains Sugarplum, Son of a Nutcracker, The Not so silent Night and Mine for the Holidays. I read each of the stories individually but I really enjoyed the boxset.

A collections is always a great idea and this one was perfect for Christmas!
It features 4 stories, all with a Christmas connection, insta love, curvy heroines and their perfect matches. It was a very pleasant, at times, pretty hot read, peppered with some funny moments and some classical family members in the mix to keep the stories going.

Hot, tender and cute romances
It's a very good set of simple, hot, tender romances, with endearing, diverse and always interesting characters. I liked the stories, but maybe a little less « Son of a nutcracker » because it's definitely an insta on all points of the story.

A great collection of Christmas love stories. Most I had already read but I took great pleasure in reading them again and renewing with the characters. The stories in this book will give you passion, instalove, steamy love scenes and HEA!.
