Did I read this from cover to cover? No but i looked at and admired all of the images and process that were shown throughout this book. I find art books challenging to read because I buy the books to support the artist and have a collection of their artworks. Do I read the words within? Sometimes, here and there. I don't see this book or books like it as a type of book that you intentionally read from cover to cover. But rather something that you pick up here and there and read what interests you at that moment. This book is one that I will show to aspiring artists and those interested in the craft.
3.5⭐️ this connection between a reader and an author pouring their life onto a page is something that cannot be fabricated. i’ve always seen artists through rose-colored lenses, perceiving them as perfect and have their ducks in a row, growing up experienced and in an supportive environment, but this shows me that that’s not always the case. i saw myself through these events, and i can now see myself as someone who can become as talented and passionate about art as cosmic. it’s a hell long learning process that i’ll just have to ride through
I'm so happy I participated in the kickstarter to get this book. It took me a while to read it because of life stuff, but it was overall a very interesting read
