This is book 5 in the Dan Spalding Noir/Mystery series. It's a quick hitting, solid entry. It brings back a character I was hoping to see back. I won't name names because it would be a spoiler. The setting here is fascinating. It's the same general setting as you see in the TV Series "Ozarks," though the storylines and characters are completely different. But there's lots of colorful background in which to set stories. The end comes very quickly but provides a satisfying ending. Onto Book 6, "Deep Cuts."
