This was Book 7 in the Cyn Sharp Investigations series. I received an early copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book opens with Cyn Sharp fulfilling the terms of her community service hours doing volunteer hours at the local Veterans hospital. But as usual, she is accompanied by Sgt. Winifred Pupperson, affectionately known as Winnie, her former partner from her time in the service. Winnie has yet again been chasing food and crumbs and created chaos in her wake.
During her time in the hospital Cynthia Sharp discovers a homeless service person has done time in jail, but may or may not have been framed. So, in the midst of trying to track down the service persons records, Cyn and Winnie get shot at, chase down a lost kid, get chased by chickens that were in the cast of Westside Story and lose their entire collection of coffee mugs.
This one is yet another brilliant and funny mystery. Cyn al9ng with her canine partner Winnie end up involved in community service at the local VA hospital in town. There she meets a homeless veteran thThas been in jail for a crime he didn't commit. He hire Cyn to find the truth and exonerate him. It's always fun to solve a mystery with Cyn and her K-9 partner/companion.
