Ok so this book states it's a YA novel as many do, but many adults read these as well. I have found that most of them can be enjoyed by adults as long as you remember what it was like to be a teenager and all the highs and lows that go with that age. I almost stopped reading this book because it really seems to be targeted for teens and then it got interesting. The concept is engaging but the writing style is definitely defined and if you can handle the juvenile concept as an adult then it's a pretty good story.
Such a great read! I’m not particularly a fan of dystopian fiction but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The concept and the world the author created really pulled me in and I often found myself anxious for the characters and eager to keep reading and find out what happens next.
Really enjoyed this read! It wasn't a quick read for me. Kept finding myself distracted instead of being pulled in. But my interest was peaked enough that I kept coming back to read another chapter here and there to find out what would happen. Even if I didn't know there was another book coming I still would have been satisfied with the ending. Will definitely want to continue the story when The Eliminated is released.
Eden and her friend Xander live in Greenland in a post-apocalyptic world. When everyone turns 18 they must compete in the Olympics, where if they win a medal they are allowed to be an adult. Elimination is a mystery, but it's not good.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a great, fun read, and there is humor and a bit of a thrill. I can't wait to read the second book and see what happens next.
I was enjoying the story but it ended abruptly with no satisfactory ending. I don’t know if this is the first in a series or what, but I finished and was just asking myself what happened??
I liked the characters and the ending felt like a lead in to another book. I liked the dystopian references but wished there was more time spent on that part of the story.
I just love a story about a bunch of people competing for their lives. And I thought doing it in like a really basic and realistic way was ironically bold and interesting.
