Eli is a man conflicted. Confused. Traumatized from his childhood. Deceived by his family. Broken.
All he has is her. Natalie.
He tries to love her. No, he DOES love her. More than anything. More than himself. That’s why he’s willing to let her go. She deserves better, no matter how much she says otherwise, she does. He’s aware of it and when he can no longer ignore it, he decides to make a move – one that pains him. He leaves. But when he realizes that letting her go was a mistake, it may be too late to get her back.
Through the frustration, Cadence is her sister’s backbone. She’s so busy taking care of her sister that she doesn’t see how her own life is passing her by. That is until Gary makes it clear to her. For the first time, in a long time, she finds companionship with him, but will her sister’s life interfere in what could be a wonderful relationship.

First let me say that I enjoy the majority of Tina Martin's books and that is is not my first review of her work. Second this is a review of the series. This series was the blue print for an abuser, a manipulator, and a gaslighter. I have often wondered why women/men stay in such situations, this gave great insight. For people that have never been in a relationship with an abused person, this series may also help you. I believe Elias really did love Allie, he just did not love himself. He has been manipulated all of his 34 years by all but one person, Allie. But she had no clue about is past. Eli, didn't know how to be in any relationship be it friend or lover. With all of the secrets, I know the parents did not get him help, but that was his downfall. If I were Cadi, I would have been telling my sister, run and keep running from Eli. As for Allie. Nope. Your mouth says friends only, but he has a key and sleeps with you, spends 98% of his free time with you. That's not a best friend, babygirl, that's you fooling yourself. The premise was good, the delivery was creepy. I don't want to be loved like that. This an invitation to a pine box.
I always wanted to like Eli, but was always doubtful about his mental stability. This series dealt with some very serious relationship issues. Should Natalie stay with him and invest more of her young life in what is a possessive love. Eli has an extraordinary amount of baggage, so much that’s it’s hard to unpack it to love him. This installment in the series starts the process of fitting the puzzle together, in an effort to get that thick black cloud that’s hovered over Eli through out the series. If you have read the other shorter books in the series, I urge you to read the conclusion. In addition to fitting the Eli & Natalie puzzle and unexpected love interest is developing. Ms. Martin gives us everything you want in a good book: good story, strong characters, villains, drama & intrigue, romance, and a good ending with the possibly for more♥️
Not sure about Natalie possibly pisces, bit I digress these last two books had me in tears. I felt bad for Eli but on the other hand he tripping with Natalie. I'm happy for for her sister too. This series was a tragic romance the really highlighted on some real life situations that couples may find them selves coming up against. But through the good, bad, and ugly true love wins in the end.
I really enjoyed the two sisters journey in the finale. I'm glad both sisters got their forever person. What a struggle, especially when you are a product of your environment. I'm just glad God put people or arrange sunshine in your life to help you through, but in this case you both were and are sunshine for one another. Loved it from beginning to end. ReneeG
I can not say that Eli had the best situation growing up. But, dang, he had it rough. And the fact that he thought he could push his heart and soul away was ludicrous. The sixth story was the hardest for me. I hoped with all hope that Eli would find peace. I liked that Ali's sister, Cat, also had a happy ending. A good series.
This was a real ROLLER COASTER ride!!!! I loved AND hated Eli’s love for Allie. Was rooting for him but then thought he was toxic and unhealthy for her. I’m glad Cadence found a love for her. This series was something. I loved Eli but I didn’t love Eli🥴🫠. While this story can be nerve wracking and triggering, it was some solid writing. Good Job Ms. Author.
Natalie and Eli were definitely soulmates. They completed each other. The trauma that had Eli struggling was definitely life altering. The love they both felt for each other was so overwhelming that it almost destroyed their relationship. The question “can you love someone too much” could have been the title of the final book.
A perfect ending to this series, that so many times I felt was going to crash and burn .Also and Eli conquered all the it fears. Eli had a good heart, but I times went totally off the deep in. His reasons some valid others were questionable.
I honestly wasn’t sure about the book at first, but this series was a lot, in all the good ways. I felt so bad for Elias. The man went through a lot, but at the same time, he was doing the most. Natalie grew on me. Sometimes her actions and reactions were very young, but we definitely see her growth. Book 5 is what sets this series ablaze! If you like dark romance, this series is for you.
