Previously, Dom's adventures has taken him through mountains, saving princesses and others, and escorting them to the palace. During his journeys, he becomes fatally injured and ends up in a healing clinic that a deity visits. The god heals Dom and reveals information about how he ended up in Risona, and that his family was in danger.
With this information, Dom races across the kingdom to save his family, but his mind is filled with anxiety because of the warning Medum gave him. He ended up, with the help of his family and others, defeating the demonesses and allies they brought. After some interrogation, Dom finds out who is responsible. But even knowing that the noble was responsible, he realizes that something big is happening on Risona and even though he doesn't want to be involved, Dom gets dragged in. He tried his hardest to stay in the shadows but in the end, others now know his secret.
In this journey, Dominic will go through tragedy and loss, but he gains allies and friends when others join his cause. Dom is also bombarded by kingdom and clan politics, not to mention commands from his patron god. A lot to go through by one man not from the world of Risona.
Warning: This book is rated mature and not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. It contains sexual content, cursing, nonconventional relationships, violence, gore, and other things that might offend someone. This is the fourth book in the Traveler's Series. If you didn't like the others, then you probably won't enjoy this one either, but thanks for browsing.
A good addition to the series. By now you should know what you are going to get with this author and the series since it is book 4. I still think there a few too many women, it is hard to keep track of everyone. I also don't like Nikki that much. She keeps making mistakes and doing things that piss of Dom but then tells him how much she loves him. Things are progressing and I like forward to the next one.
The series just keeps getting worse. Dom is still wishy washy about choices he makes and one moment he says they can't keep th we weapons he makes and then th he next he allows dozens of the out of his control. I don't recommend this series. The 1st 2 books in the series were good but these last 2 are just garbage. The main character continues to show a week personality and can't make up as mind about what he wants to do with the people he's attractive to his side. There are not even good romantic sex scenes in this novel it's all fade to black you really don't see anything to get to read anything it's all a bunch of going for 1 place to another it's really quite boring. I was forcing myself to read the novel and finally I just had to give up it's not worth it.
Enjoyed this one as well, although the sheer number of people (specifically women) in Dom's orbit is getting confusing. Story is building to larger-scope events, so I'm interested to see where this is going.
I'm losing respect for the MC, Dom as he constantly zones out, especially during important meetings, missing crucial details that affect his and others' futures. His attitute towards politics (human interaction) and things he's not interested in is extremely childish. He was a project manager and should have a better handle on these important aspects of adult life. He also did a poor job of protecting his capabilities from others such as by using oaths, setting up cuttouts or false trails to protect his identity.
It also disturbs me that the MC was just handed runemaking. Sure he had to study, but for the genre it required little pain, sacrifice or perserverence as he didn't have to struggle to level up. There also needs to be a re-introduction of the characters in the beginning of each book; as a reader, I've lost track of who many of the characters are along with their magic affiliation. I remember Nikki and Lilly, but need a refresher on who others are. It should be built into the opening chapters of the story and a cast of characters at the end would also be helpful.
Regarding the storyline, it was sad that Corrina decided to flee, whereas Isabella, Felicia and their daughters were sent into hiding. I strongly disagreed that they be "put away" even for their own protection as they were both victimized by Helen's machinations. They could have been better supported. I can only hope that in the next story they play a larger part somehow as they return from exile.
It was interesting that Capena was a hotbed of corruption. Now the region can recover as Helen, Alex and the magistrate have been put to the sword and Lamar knows that his days are numbered. Risona still has to deal with the minions of the dark gods so Lamar should be a stepping stone to gaining intellegence on their plans and locations.
Dom will hopefully put his defense system to good use while prosecuting the war with dark forces. He should however work on disguising his smoking eyes and macabre aura, especially for while at court.
Finally, he needs a reminder that his original mission is to uplift the men of Risona. While important, critical even, he has been distracted with other concerns and has largely ignored this quest, not even making time to meet with the men's association that he formed. Its time that he refocuses and looks for ways to change the demenor of men on Risona, while preparing for battle against the forces of the dark.
Okay, I’m going to summarise the series as a whole… the series to me is a 4 out of 5… I have this book though a 3 because of all the idiocy that’s going on with Dom and the people in his life. He’s just become some push over that’s now going to be wrapped up in politics. He’s going to let others tell him how to run his life, people that he hasn’t even been intimate with. People he hasn’t even told I love you to. Also this series has some serious triggers. Lots of rape and cheating in this book. The cheating really disgusted me and I almost stopped reading the book when he walked in on Felicia and Bella… both are just trash women. I give Bella credit for at least sticking around and helping the family but even though she said she’s in it for the long haul and she will prove to Dom that she’s serious and hope he comes around as soon as she got her old cheating disgusting lover back she was quick to talk about finding another man and family to join. So both of those women are damaged goods and if they join his family I’d most likely stop the series because they bring absolutely nothing to the series. Nancy, Corrina and Nikki was pure trash as well. Nikki was actually one of my favourite wives until she shunned Dom for a ménage with said two women… they sought pleasure and totally ignored him, how would they like it if he did that? Even after her screw up she got upset when she found out Ellie slept in his bed. She got super jealous… so she could have relations but he can’t? Hypocrisy much? So Nikki fell down some pegs in my viewpoint. I’m glad Nancy is gone and I’m glad the dwarf is gone. They brought absolutely nothing to the series. What’s also disappointing is his women are still scared of him because he’s learning new magic. They will still pull out weapons or move away from him. These women are quite disappointing. He’s done nothing but give them a home, a livelihood and built up their self esteem and all they gave back is their body. Well, that’s not good enough. Especially when they decide who he sleeps with, who they bring into his home, where he goes, who he talks to, how his business is ran etc. dom is frustrating because he doesn’t like to take help and when he was trying to remain hidden and secret he didn’t everything he could to put himself out there to be caught and not care about his safety. So the series does have problems but I still enjoy it. I know this review is a rant but it is what it is.

I guess it's time for more ketchup and mayo discovery.
This author is either a bad writer, lazy, or both. He has the protagonist keep entrusting secrets to his women, when it was shown on multiple occasions that they just blurt everything out in front of company.
The author doesn't want to put in the effort to let stuff come out naturally, so he just does a secret dump, then "oops, Dom's secret is out!"
I just started the book and I expect one of his women to say he is from earth in front of company, either before this book ends, or in the next one.
This author really is lazy, but I will finish the series.
People are just added to his group, and then take his stuff (weapons) and he behaves like he doesn't have a choice. Then all his secrets are being revealed one after another.
Reading all of this, it seems the author doesn't know how to make a story flow properly (or is too lazy). So he has people blurt shit out to move the story along. From point A to E, while skipping the bits in between.
Great harem-fantasy: heavy on story, light on sex...but not too light!
I read the first three books in the series a little while back but I re-read them before I read this fourth book.I normally can only read one, or at most two, books in a series before I have to switch to someone new, as I have ADHD and my brain shuts down. Not for this series! I read all four books with very few interruptions. But now I'm guessing that I will have to wait months for book five 😐 and I really, really, really don't want to!!! I love the MC, Dominic, as well as his numerous wives (well, soon to be anyways). I enjoy the technology that he's introducing and how he's doing work arounds for the lack of electricity to get everything to work. I can't wait to see what else he decides to introduce to his new world. The story kept me interested the whole time. And there was just enough sex (for me anyway)!
Alternate universe, LitRPG light, magic, harem adult situations Dom and his ladies spend their time paying back the evil demon worshipers for the wrongs they've done Dom, his family, and others. A quick reminder of who is who when first introduced would be helpful; it's been nearly a year since the last book.
Only a few errors; much lower number than usual. Wondering why he couldn't consummate his relationships with his new women, Ellie and Amelia nor formalize his marriages to the others -- one of the gods told him to take care of it. Enjoyed, but Dom also seems withdrawn. Interested in book 5.
The main character is so unsympathetic and with such bent thinking that it is a pain to read the book. The author has created a world populated by quite daft people incapable of inventing objects that was invented pre bronze age here.
I would guess that it is an unplanned course of world building, and more a tell about Xanders own thoughts and beliefs. "A world run by women? Then it must be so behind that they cannot even invent a simple wooden dildo". Less more let one of their craftswomen use their plastics to mould an penis shaped object, eventhough all females seems to be sexy and horny all the time bewcause the lack of Xand... Alpha males.
I love this author the story lines and plots are great 👍 👌 😀 The only issue I have is the over use of the word Quim ughh 😑 😒 it's such a cringe 😫 word I grimace 😬 everytime.. Plus his women told all his business which was not cool 😐 😑 then he had tons of people asking 50 thousand questions it pissed me off for him. Don't think the princess should of put him on blast she didn't like the spotlight so she took it off herself and put dom in firing line now he will never have peace 🤔 I think this is going to start alot of trouble. Dom can't do anything without getting asked a bunch of questions it's annoying 😒. Dnf with 4 hours left its turned in to a war book so I am no longer interested
Typical over powered MC with Harem. The story while in line with the trope has more to offer. The big stand out on this is actually the business development and the unique ways to use magic and real world tech to bring the endeavors to fruition, well done. The bottom line up front, if you like OP MCs in another world with harems this series is for you. I only wish more supporting character development was done.
Mr Jade, Please tell that there's going to be a fifth book?? Your work is one that I really can't put down once I start on your work.
For those of you out there if you are looking for a series to hold your interest and keep you up past your bedtime, this is the series and author for you!!
A very enjoyable adult fantasy series!!! Moments of everyday life mixed with adventures of all kinds!!! You will be hard pressed to find another author that rights such fast paced and easy to read stories!!
Retribution at last. More to come. Lamont doesn't know who's coming for him as he has wrong so many. Go story flow with minimal sex. Too bad I have to wait so long for the next volume
I love this series I hope more come sooner then the last one it took forever the author is by far my favorite I hope the mc adds more runes to himself and stop pussyfooting
A bit heavy on the porn side, makes me think of the steamy novels my sister would read , at least that’s the felling I got, I almost put it down but I liked the story line. I there more to come??
Well, this was a truly fun read. Lots of humor, some sad, intellectual circumstances, the story kept me glued, and I even wanted to miss work to continue the read. I wish there was more to continue this fun. Thank you for your story.
I could not put it down and may have set a personal record on finishing a book. This is another excellent story by one of the best storytellers out there
I enjoyed this book as much as the last one, more fighting and runesmithing more intrgue and good loving in a healthy way. Now, i need the next book desperately.
What an adventure! Having read all your books available on Kendal I can't decide on the best of such enjoyable reads. All worth many re-reads. Thank you!
Honestly surprised it took till book 4 for some people to be taken care of, with the weapons Dominic has I'd have taken them out shortly after first meeting them
