Excellent overview of modern architecture - my absolute favorite - from the turn of the 20th century on. A very nice balance of text and photographs give you a clear sense of the design flow through the different schools, architects and cultural impact.
It is a large format book, with an interesting tactile feel to the cover, which is a nice touch.
There are books that cover each of the different parts of modern architecture much more deeply. Buy and read this one to get a refreshing overview and the inspiration to move into your own life and projects in fresh ways.
... rhetoric and trivial, but just like the dictionary or the science atlas, we must have one stored in our shelves. the heck, i saw this for 10 usd and bought it.. why not?
