Coffee Break Rom Coms

Snowed Under with Mr. Scrooge: A Sweet Rom Com Short

Rate this book
It's three days before Christmas, and I'm supposed to be convincing my sister's filthy rich boss to save my beloved Frost Farm from going into foreclosure.

Unfortunately, Mitchell Murphy, or Mr. Scrooge, as I like to call him, hates all things Christmas, and Frost Farm is about as Christmasy as it gets.

It's not until we get snowed in that things shift between us, but can I convince Mitchell that it's not just his money I'm after?

This is a short and sweet instalove story featuring a curvy, sunshiney heroine and the grumpy billionaire hero who falls for her. This sweet romance contains sizzling kisses, mild innuendo, and alcohol use, but no explicit content.

Hi, there! I write sweet PG-rated feel-good romance, romantic comedy and humorous women's fiction.

When I'm not writing, I try to keep my houseplants alive, continue my quest for the perfect gingerbread recipe and enjoy spending time with my husband of many years.

Presently, I don't blog, tweet, Facebook, pinter or insta-anything. Maybe someday :).

Not a bad book, just didn’t feel the chemistry. Also a little too fast. I know it’s a novella but still.

I honestly don’t know what to feel. I liked the concept of the sunshine and grumpy CEO in close proximity, but everything just moved too fast, probably due to the novella’s short length. A lot more could’ve happened during those seven days. I didn’t feel the characters’ connection or chemistry, and it seemed like we missed out on the potential romantic tension between them. The sudden private conversation and kiss felt abrupt and unearned. If the male lead weren’t young and handsome, the story would feel off. However, I do understand the appeal, especially considering some people have crushes on voice actors, so I guess I can see where Mr. Scrooge is coming from. Overall, it was an okay short read. The story had potential with its sequence of events and interactions, but it just didn’t fully come through for me.

This one was definitely my favorite. It gave me the warm and fuzzy feelings. Mitchelle is Agatha’s sister’s boss. He likes to help small businesses. Well Agatha owns Frost Farm and it’s not doing well at all. Only issue, Mitchell has had a crush on Agatha for a long time. Will they make it work? Will he help out her small businesses? Loved this story!

"Usually, I don’t have to do a thing. They come on to me, and I just choose to accept or reject their advances. Come to think of it, that may be a big factor in why my relationships never seem to go anywhere."

MMC, Mr. Scrooge aka Mitchell Murphy is trash. I do not like this character.. he thinks he's gods gift to women and he's OOOBSESSED with Sam's sister, FMC, Agatha Frost, even though he's never met her. Sam books her fifty rich boss, Mitchell a winter getaway at Frost Farm (Agatha's business she's trying to save from foreclosure). Mitchell gets snowed in with Agatha.. he tries to win her over and is failing miserably. It honestly can't be called trying.. I read this in hopes that it would be as cute as the other coffee rom-com by MM but it wasn't and felt almost as if it was a different author entirely!

"But Agatha’s not quite in love yet, and it’s going to take my best efforts to get her there."
