A fight for fairness. An ascension to royalty. A battle like no other.
Althuria is in chaos.
With the power of both Eternos towers in her hands, the Queen of Althuria is unstoppable. Every moment is an inevitable step toward her world domination. Asha is no match for her, even as her void magic grows stronger.
The rebellion is crushed. Hiding in the Academy, they can only wait and weather each new attack. Their only hope is to sever the Queen's connection to the Eternos towers and restore peace to the land. If—and only if—they succeed, they have a chance at defeating the Queen’s army.
Is Asha destined to fail against an unbeatable foe? Or will she rise to face the Queen while her comrades fall?
What is she willing to lose in the throes of battle?
Guaranteed to thrill, Void and Valor is the riveting finale to the Althuria Chronicles.

Void and Valour is the conclusion of this very engaging and unique series. Asha Olinger, true heir to Althuria, continues to battle with her aunt the Queen to end her wicked reign. The story is action packed, but my favourite book in the series continues to be the the first. The plot of the book is amazing, but the friendships with Lex and Zaniyah continue to be somewhat superficial when compared to the the first book. While this is a sacrifice that Asha has made to save her friends in book 1, the repercussions of this left me feeling sad throughout the rest of the series. Great series. 4/5 stars
Void and Valor is Book 4 in the Althuria Chronicles by Ryver Knight. This final story is everything I love… Asha is running for her life while it appears the Queen has won. I thought that Ryver Knight did a fabulous job writing Void and Valor. There is fighting and magic and sadly, not everyone is alive at the end if the book….it is sad. If you are new to this series, I think that the best way to read this fabulous series is to begin with book 1 and follow Asha as she grows along with the series to end a a really strong amazing lady. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
I received this book as an ARC from the author although I am not obliged to post a review.
I’ve really enjoyed the action side of this series, there is always a lot going on and definitely plenty of battles to keep the readers entertained. I think what has let me down a bit and left this series feeling a bit unfulfilled is the lack of character development from everyone except the main character. It started out really strong introducing Asha’s world, her sister and her friend Kestrel and bringing in new allies such as Lex and Zaniyah but none of those relationships have really gone anywhere in the last couple of books as the focus has been more on the action and defeating the queen and I feel like for me personally the series suffers for it. It’s hard to root for people that you don’t really know or have any investment in.
Ryver Knight, the author, has saved the best for the fourth instalment in her Althuria Chronicles fantasy series. Asha, her friends and allies continue to fight to save Althuria from the evil Queen. The time has come for Asha to really believe in her strengths and for an epic ending to the story. Thank you to GPV Publishing, and Ryver Knight for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.
As I've read all of the previous books in this series, I'm glad I was able to read this last installment. It was good to get closure for the saga, although the final confrontation felt a little rushed (and kind of confusing) to me.
There's a lot of potential in the world built in this series, but I feel like so much more of it could have (should have?) been explored. The same thing goes for most of the characters. For example, Zaniyah and Lex, who both seemed like pretty interesting characters in their own ways, but really didn't get to do much in this last book.
On a technical note, I'm pretty sure Chapter 7 got put into the story out of order, as the narrative from Chapter 6 leads directly into Chapter 8. Or maybe Chapters 7 and 8 were two story alternatives that the author was deciding between, and then she forgot to remove the one she decided against? Either way, I was reading an ARC, so hopefully that issue will get sorted out before final publication!
I received an e-ARC from BookSirens for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I may be a little biased, hehe... But I hope you enjoy reading the finale to the series! This was a long journey, but I'm glad you made it all the way through. :)
And the action begins. This book felt more fast-paced than the previous ones, but perhaps that was due to my being anxious in finishing the finale.
This series is a prime example of fighting injustice in our own world. As long as we keep it up, we’ll find others willing to join us. We each have different skill sets and we gotta throw everything we got at ‘em! Not everybody will see it through to the end for various reasons, but we are all responsible to do our part.
There is also a great need to have a new system in place when overthrowing tyranny of any kind. Otherwise a different evil will fill the void (no pun intended). We have seen that all too many times in world politics and it would behoove us to apply that in microcosms as well.
Fave quotes: ‘We are mere servants to the sluggish passage of time.’ ‘This is not how your story ends.’
May we all be successful in our battles against evil.
I received a copy of the book on Story Origin for an honest review. The views expressed are mine & freely given.
It is the last book in a series of four, so I had to read the first three to understand this one. First, I love the cover! The cover designer did an amazing job!
I think the writer could have explored more with the world-building, there is a lot of potential. I would have loved to explore Althuria in a bit more detail. I loved all the action scenes; I thought there were too many battles at one point. Especially if you compare it to the lack of character development of the supporting characters. I wonder what happened to the friendship formed with Lex and Zaniyah... or will there be a spin-off? I think the first three books were better written when it came to cultivating friendships.
Firstly, a huge thank you has to go to Book Sirens & Ryver Knight for giving me a copy of Void & Valor to review! I’ve loved the previous books in the Althuria Chronicles, & this finale was an absolute heartstopper. So what’s in store for Asha in Void & Valor?
Time has run out for the rebellion movement against Althuria’s Queen. Defeated, they’re now clutching at straws while hiding out in the Academy. Only Asha can fight the Queen’s power, but with the daggers of the Eternos towers in her grasp, is it already too late? The Queen’s Red Soldiers are unstoppable, & they are unleashing everything against Asha & her ragtag team. To defeat this power, Asha must cut the tie the Queen has to the two towers… But will anyone survive this mission?
In this last instalment of the Althuria Chronicles, Asha & her friends are mature beyond their years. We have witnessed Asha grow into becoming who she was always meant to be, & I really love that this wasn’t achieved overnight. She had to work hard, & face down terrible, unimaginable things to become someone capable of toppling a Queen. We’re also shown a heroine who actually *listens* instead of barging her way through life, regardless of the consequences. And I really love that!
Void & Valor by indie author Ryver Knight has been a wonderful way to end this YA fantasy series. If you love a massive showdown between good & evil, & the idea of a courageous heroine & her shapeshifter companion? This story (& series) really is for you. It’s a tale of magic, hardship & the sacrifices we make for those we love...

Asha finds herself powerless against the crushing force of the Queen, who now holds control over the two towers. Despite her efforts, she cannot seem to overcome the sense of hopelessness that the Queen instills in her, making her want to give up. The Red Shields' attack on the Academy leaves Asha and the rebels in a precarious position, as they face the threat of being crushed from both within and without. With a traitor in their midst, the group is slowly falling apart, and Asha is left wondering whether she can come up with a plan to save them all.
The book is an action-packed rollercoaster that never gives Asha and the rebels a moment's reprieve. Every scene is filled with fighting, personal struggles, and bloodshed, as those closest to Asha fall around her. As the story unfolds, it becomes increasingly clear that the stakes are high, and the consequences of failure are dire. The magic in the story flows seamlessly, and there are many plot twists and sacrifices that keep the reader engaged.
Overall, the book has a nice reading flow, and there are many moments of desperation and tension that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. The author has done an excellent job of creating a world that is both magical and terrifying, and the book is a fitting end to the series.
The last book of the series is full of action and I really enjoyed that. The descriptions and the way the author writes the characters were pretty good and it showed how much the author has evolved from the first book.
There were a few plot twists that I didn't see coming and I liked them a lot.
What I didn't like was the lack of character development yet again. Same as in the previous book, the characters didn't change a thing about how they view people and the world around them. Like the war wasn't affecting them as much.
In general it was a fun and fast book to read. A nice way to end the series. I got an ebook from Booksirens for an honest review.
This was the fourth and final book in the series. I enjoyed it even though near the end it got a little slow. I really loved the friendships that the characters had with each other. I am also glad that Asha was able to forgive those who betrayed in the beginning. They really didn't know what they were against with the Queen and believed her until things happened to them that made them change their minds. I love Bruiser the shapeshifter and his locality to Asha. In total this series was a four star all the way around. I highly recommend this book and the whole series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
All throughout this series Asha received all kinds of revelations which she did not know. For instance, Althea, the woman she always thought of as her sister, was not. The evil queen is her aunt. In this book, Asha learns more about controlling the Void and what she can do with her abilities. She also ends up with allies she was not expecting. I really enjoyed this series. There’s a bit of everything, from shapeshifters, dwarves, to loyalty and Asha learning more about herself and human nature. What people will do in order to save those they love. I highly recommend this series to people of all ages!
Void & Valor is the fourth and final book in the Althuria Chronicles.series I have loved the earlier books but the author Ryver Knight has served up a great conclusion and has definitely saved the best for last. This is an action packed story and a real page turner our hero Asha comes to the part of the story where she will either be able to stop the queen or will fail leading to the end of the world as she knows it. I highly recommend reading this book and the rest of the series. I am excited to see what Ryver delivers next.
I read all 4 in this series, because I wanted to see what could actually happen. That said, books 1 & 2 were a lot better written than the latter 2. I liked the concept of the "void" and also enjoyed that dog's life. I thought the characters were pretty believable, even though there was a lot of lying and cheating amongst friends. I think with a good editor this series could have been condensed to 3 books. And I got tired of hearing Asha make "gutteral screams" and then pass out. Really? Interesting that the last book is 5 years later and we don't find out who is queen.
This was an epic ending to the series. Asha has a battle with the queen and the red soldiers with help of her friends. The battles are well written with a lot of drama and there is sorrow with the loss of friends who are fighting to end the reign of the dark queen. This series was wonderful to read with lots of twists and turns. I would read more books from this author. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This series is well edited and smoothly written. It is a straight fantasy, good vs. evil story. The fmc discovers truths about herself, goes to the academy, battles perils and fights against the evil characters. No romance involved, this series is suited for a teenage audience. As an adult, it dragged on and on for me. I felt like three books would have been plenty. All in all fine entertainment.
This REALLY reads like a Grishaverse/Potterverse crossover fic with the serial numbers filed off. I read through all four books in a day. The main character is one of those “too stupid to live” types who somehow manages to, in fact, survive. One character is blatantly Hermione Granger. I also struggled with the “ancient languages” just being Latin. That felt lazy. But overall, it was entertaining.
Beautiful plot twists, amazing story… Throughout the story, I felt that I was Asha Olinger. I lived her life, I felt who she was and she will be. Truly captivating packed with adventure novel. Just Amazing….I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book just didn’t hit the spot for me. I felt like the character and world development as the series went on was lacking. I still ended with lots of questions about the magic system and the characters.
The end of an engaging series that has all the qualities of a binge-worthy series! The characters are deep, well-developed and likable. The world building is excellent and easy to follow and understand. The plot and story line is well-developed and strong.
Over all this fantasy series is one that will be liked by many audiences. The reader is drawn in and becomes invested in the characters and just when you think the happily ever after is not within reach, that the good guy may not come out on the top - something happens.
Excellent writing. I will be looking for more from this author. thank you for the review copy StoryOrigin.
