Because love should always win. She lives in Vermont with her two big-hearted boy children and a dog named Pippa Jane.

The Bangover: The Complete Series includes four heartfelt, hilarious romances with the perfect touch of added suspense! Plus, it also includes a bonus Holiday novella. Each romance follows a different heartthrob member of the Lips of Fire rock band each with a different trope including friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, second chance romance, and a pregnancy pact. These also are full of fun witty banter, steam, suspense, and love. I loved all four books. Lili Valente, Jason Clarke, and Sebastian York narrate these books, and are so much fun!
The Bangover is Lili Valente’s newest hilarious and filthy rom-com. I have read every thing this woman has written and have loved every book. And I must this book is one of my favorites!!
Colin and Kirby have been best friends for fifteen years. Even though they live worlds apart they still make time to talk on the phone every night and see each other whenever he is in town touring with his band. While he is out traveling the world she is happy in her house with her cats writing horror stories. But now? They are hitting Vegas after too much whiskey and a few kisses. I mean what could go wrong when going to Sin City with your best friend to have a sexcation for a week?
A whole lot of crazy!! That’s what. And a whole lot of filthy times!! I don’t want to spoil anything so I will keep it at that. I will say that I didn’t want to stop reading. It was so much fun and dirty with a mix of suspense and emotions. I fell for the characters right away and kept falling until the very end.
Quotes:
“Are you sure you’re going to be okay? She looks…bloodthirsty.” “It’s you I’m worried about,” I say. “Run. Save yourself. And if I don’t make it out alive, burn everything in my blue file folder. That’s where the bad poetry is.”
“Are you always this comfortable waltzing around naked?” I prop my hands on my hips. “I don’t waltz, Larry. I stride manfully to my destination.” I stalk toward the door, exaggerating the length of my stride and the bend in my knees to deliberately look ridiculous. A husky Kirby laugh rewards my efforts. “You’re such a clown,” she says, shaking her head.
“I am pretty threatening,” Kirby says dryly before adding in a monotone, “Growl. Snarl. Snap. Grr.” “Terrifying,” I agree with a smile.
* BANG THEORY
Bang Theory is the second book in the The Bangover series by the hilariously talented, Lili Valente. You can read it as a standalone but I recommend reading The Bangover to get to know Shep and Bridget even more. I had a feeling something was going on with them and now I know exactly what it was.
Bridget is tired of being the cute girl. The one who reminds men of their little sisters instead of a sexy vixen. She wants men to want her. She wants passion. She wants kisses that make her melt. She wants what her best friend Shep gave her before he turned her down. She thought she repulsed him but it was the exact opposite. He knew if they kept kissing it wouldn’t stop at just that. It would be more and he didn’t want to hurt her. Ever.
She was a homebody. He was a rock star. She owned a B&B. He was about to go on tour. She wanted him to teach her seduction. He knew she didn’t need lessons. She already drove him insane. She was going to do what she needed to do. He can’t stand to think about another man touching her. They agree to three weeks. Three weeks of lessons before he leaves on tour. But what will happen when the strings start feeling attached?
Aw!! I loved them!! Shep is protective, loyal, funny, and a big sexy teddy bear. Bridget is a good girl who wants to be bad. She is so sweet, flirty, and witty. I love their friendship. Their connection. Their banter. Their passion.
Overall...it’s full of laughs, heat, twists, and amazing kisses. 💋💋
P.S. I don’t know who is next up but I am hoping it is...nah, not gonna say it.
Quotes:
“Fuck buddies can be magical creatures, my friend. Like unicorns, but hornier.” “Right,” I huff. “Damn right I’m right.”
“The new Bridget takes charge. She’s fearless. Soggy fries don’t scare her, and neither does anything else.”
“In fact, I’m pretty sure making you come is going to be the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” “Best thing to happen to me, you mean,” she corrects. “No, I don’t.”
*BANGING THE ENEMY
Banging the Enemy is the third standalone in the Bangover series by the very talented and funny, Lili Valente. I am so in love with this series and the characters. You can read it as standalone but they are all tied together by some sexy rockstars and friendships. I have been waiting for this story especially after reading the free prequel, Enemies with Bang-ifits (The link to it will be at the bottom of the review.)
It happens. They bang. She goes on with her life. He goes on tour. And six months later, he is back with a plan. A plan to get the one who got away back. But, he needs Theo on board with the plan and he knows exactly what she wants. It’s all about location and he owns the property she wants for her restaurant. They can totally fake date for three weeks to convince his ex that he can have a serious relationship without breaking the boundaries, right? It’s not like it’s real or anything.
Until you start having feelings. Real feelings. Raw feelings. Feelings you shouldn’t feel for someone who has ignored you for thirteen years. Someone who says is in love with someone else. Three weeks. That’s all they needed then he would be on tour and she would be hopefully working on her first restaurant opening.
I loved this story. The way these two banter and learn each other is so sweet, fun, and emotional. And hot. The characters are so, so lovable. They are both learning about themselves as well as learning about each other and that was awesome. It’s really full of passion, music, love, laughter, wit, friendship, and family. I am really hoping a certain someone get their own book.
Quotes:
“Well, looks like that was a promise you couldn’t keep, princess. And don’t even try to pretend you didn’t enjoy yourself.”
“Want to dance?” “No, I don’t want to dance. I want to stab you repeatedly in the spleen.” “The spleen’s not a vital organ. I’d probably survive.”
“I am not a delicate flower.” “You are. Very delicate. Except for your boobs, but I’m not supposed to talk about those so pretend I didn’t say that.”
*THE ROCK STAR’S BABY BARGAIN
The Rock Star’s Baby Bargain is Lili Valente’s most recent hilarious and sexy rom-com. If you read her Bangover Series then you were lucky enough to already meet Zack and Colette as Theo’s best friends. They are both her best friends but they are not each other’s. They have noticed the other in passing but Colette has been in a long term relationship and Zack is always in the road with his band, Lips on Fire. But now...
It all started with a break-up. Colette with her asshole ex and Zack with his band. They are both going on their own. Zack just wanted to check on Colette before he went out of town. What he ended up doing was inviting her on his two-week writing retreat in the woods. In a haunted mansion! It was unexpected and a perfect time for Colette to get away after losing her job and ending a relationship. And time to think about what happens next. Her dream is to have a baby. Soon. She might sound crazy along with Theo but maybe, just maybe Zack would be up for the job. He is sweet, sexy, and has a job on the road. She doesn’t need a baby daddy, she just needs him swimmers. But, there is no way he would say yes. Except he doesn’t immediately say no...
Zack doesn’t know what has gotten into him. First, he quits his band to go solo and now he is planning on knocking up his best friend’s best friend in a haunted mansion. He might just be going crazy. Except it feels all kinds of right. His new muse has turned out to be Colette and he can’t wait to make new music on his own terms. He also can’t wait to have Colette in his bed and in his arms. But what happens after the fun baby making? Will he be able to just walk away, co-parent or want to live the dream with a party of three?
Aw!! This story is so sweet, sexy, and fun! I have been falling for Zack and Colette over the Bangover series so having them together is amazing!! So happy her douchebag ex is out of the picture. And happy that Zack is going to be in the spotlight instead of behind it. He deserves it. Together, they are magic.
P.S. I want to go to the haunted mansion!
Quotes:
“How did we do it? Before?” “Do what?” I murmur. “Ignore the chemistry.” “You were with someone, and I don’t like dwelling on things I can’t have. I like dreams that have at least a shot at coming true.”
“I like you filthy.”
“A winner must be declared. We’ll settle this in the way of my people. Co-ed naked shower wrestling to the death. It’s the only way.”
* HOLIDAYS WITH BANG-IFITS
This is a short story in the The Bangover series and it’s second-generation. It’s fun, flirty and a bit dirty! I am hoping this is a tease to a spin-off series.
The Bangover A great start to a new series! I loved the prequel to The Bangover, and Colin and Larry’s continuation is wonderfully swoony...and dirty, too! Their escapades are so much fun, and it’s adorable they don’t know they’re both having stronger-than-friendship feelings about the other. Colin is trying to write songs for the band’s next album. Turns out, he can only write great songs when he’s celibate. So he has a plan to give up sex so he can get an album of songs written and ready to record in the studio. Larry thinks it’s a terrible idea, and tries to get her best friend to change his mind. Somehow, Colin has the idea to take Larry to Vegas to...bang until he’s ready to write his songs, then it’s no sex for Colin when they get back home. You know what happens next, right? No? Then read the book! No surprise, but the supporting characters are great. Colin’s ex-girlfriend Regina is a trip. I can’t wait to see which Lips on Fire band member gets the next story (maybe Shep?
Bang Theory I want to go to Hidden Kill Bay! I’m really loving this series, and Shep may be my favorite...so far. He’s just the sweetest guy in love. Bridget is quote the wind-up toy, and I adore her. Their live story was so good, with the unexpected turns I’ve come to love from Lili Valente. Can’t wait for Cutter’s story next. It’s definitely going to be an interesting one.
Banging the Enemy Cutter Comstock has a filthy mouth, and I’m absolutely in love with him. I wondered how Cutter’s story was going to unfold, and I didn’t see this one. Cutter is the most layered guy of his band mates. Not that the other guys are boring, because they certainly aren’t. They’re just more in touch with their feelings than Cutter. No spoilers, but he’s got a complicated backstory. Theo is her usual workaholic self. Being the chef extraordinaire, Theo thinks of nothing else but her job, and making all her friends with her gastric delights. When she takes Cutter up on his offer for a fake relationship to help woo an ex-girlfriend, they’re both in for a few shocking revelations. As their story unfolds, they both discover so much about each other and themselves. Cutter has the dirtiest mouth of the guys in Lips on Fire, and I’m grateful for Jason Clarke and Lili Valente for doing an amazing job narrating.
The Rock Star’s Baby Bargain I love this series, and Zack and Colette have such a wonderful story. After leaving Lips on Fire, one of the most successful rock bands in the world for several years, Zack is ready to launch his solo career. Losing the woman he’s carried a torch for many years to marry his douche ex-band mate—Cutter’s not really a douche—Zack is leaving Hidden Kill Bay to spend a couple weeks far from civilization, so he can get some songs written for his upcoming release. Colette, in the dumps over her breakup with Fernando, just wants to have a baby. Fernando wasn’t in as much a hurry as Colette with the baby plans. Not wanting to see his friend in such a sad state, Zack invites Colette to join him on his retreat. Colette and Zach talk about everything and anything on the way, and there seems to be some sort of attraction going on between them. When Zack hears about Colette’s desire to have a baby soon, he offers to help her with the baby making—the fun way. There are some seriously hot scenes with these two, and I swooned at the fact that they both love so hard, and kinda quick. I loved discovering what a sweetie Zack is, and how caring a fun Colette is. There’s a little catchup with a few of the Hidden Kill Bay crew. Great narration by Lili and Sebastian. I’ve already listened to it twice.
The Bangover - I'm not sure I could love this book more. I have SO many highlights!!!
There's no waiting. This story jumps RIGHT into the heat. LOVE it. These two are best friends, and I think it's always been a dream of mine for best friends to suddenly turn lovers. And it is SO hot.
My favorite part? Might be Murder, the cat. Who doesn't bring a cat to Vegas with them?
There are twists at every turn in this book. Exes and craziness. And a bit of suspense! Kirby is a bad@ss.
The world-building and character development are ON point. This book is hilarious and steamy and suspenseful all in one. If I could pick a story to be the heroine of, this would be it. The ending is absolute perfection, as well. Highly recommend!
Bang Theory - It is so easy to get sucked into Lili's books! The writing grabs you from the start.
I love the sometimes ridiculous humor, and the beginning of this book might be the most ridiculous ever. Laugh out loud!
These characters are quirky with BIG hearts.
I love the suspense aspect in this series. It might be a new genre. Rom-com suspense. I can't get enough!
Banging the Enemy - I haven't met A Lili book I didn't love. This is no exception. It may be my favorite of the series so far. I adore these characters.
This was a unique take on the fake relationship trope, and I loved it!
Cutter was not what I was expecting... Well, i think that goes for Theo, too. I love him. I love her. The book was perfect. The epilogue was perfect. Love.
Rock Star's Baby Bargain - I have read all the other books in this series, and they aren't necessary in order to listen to this book, but SO worth it! ;)
There is chemistry in all the books, but this one is insta-chemistry, and it's kind of nice to get right to the "fun" times.
I really enjoyed getting both characters' back stories as the book went on. They are great characters and their story is fantastic. Zach isn't your typical rock star. And, as Theodora's best friend, he's as awesome as you'd expect him to be. Considerate, dominant, super sweet. Colette is at a turning point in her life, and is working hard to go get her dreams.
The house where they're staying is fantastic, and I love that aspect added into the story - you'll have to read about this cool rental!!
If you love HEAT with heart and a good story, including some twists and suspense, this is for you!!!
Also, I highly recommend listening to this audiobook! I will ALWAYS listen to any novels narrated by Lili Valente. I love her voice, and she does a GREAT job on the male voices, as well. And we all love SebYo. He does awesome, as always.
The Bangover, the latest release from Lili Valente, is a fast-paced friends to lovers romance. Ms. Valente once again proves her unquestionable knack for delivering comedy, suspense and romance all wrapped into one deliciously entertaining story. As their tale unfolds, you immediately feel the connection shared between Colin and Kirby. As we follow them through their adventure including crazy ex’s, a possessive and jealous cat as well as fun side characters, Ms. Valente delivers another fun rom-com filled with laughs and some uh-oh moments that will make you giggle and entertain you right to the end.
Bang Theory is Lili Valente’s newest rom-com release and definitely one you don’t want to miss. I honestly can’t remember the last time I finished a book in less than 48 hours, but Shep and Bridget’s story was so entertaining I didn’t want to put it down. Their tale is one of best friends to lovers which kept my undivided attention from beginning to end. Once again, Ms. Valente delivers fun characters, witty banter, sexy escapades and a bit of suspense. The connection shared between Shep and Bridget left my heart fluttering with a sigh of contentment as I reached the final page.
Bang on Loosely is a fantastically fun enemies to lovers romantic comedy. - Cutter and Theodora have been enemies for as long as they can remember. But when Cutter returns home from touring and suggests a fake romance to help him win the one that got away in exchange for helping Theo with her dream, she agrees. But as the time they spend together becomes more frequent, Theo’s feelings towards Cutter begin to change. Will Cutter ever let the walls around his heart down and recognize the true love that already stands in front of him before it’s too late? The banter between Cutter and Theo is fun and entertaining. Although they’re both strong-willed and driven individuals, I loved the internal vulnerability they both feel which ultimately wanes and allows their souls to join together. And the magnetism that sparks between them is sexy and oh-so-hot.
The Rock Star’s Baby Bargain - Zack and Collette have been mere acquaintances for years through a mutual friend. But when he overhears Collette’s ex badmouthing her, Zack feels compelled to seek her out to ensure she is ok. Though they’ve always felt an attraction, neither has ever pursued anything other than friendship. But when Collette tells Zack about her crazy desire to have a baby without any romantic ties, he’s ready to take on the challenge to help her out. But what begins as a simple plan to conceive a child quickly escalates to a deep-seated passion and a love neither Zack nor Collette were expecting to find.
Different twist on the friends to lovers genre, for sure.
So this one has quirky characters, a great friendship, and hot, steamy times. It takes a bit of a unique turn before these two can admit their true feelings for each other.
It's sweet and romantic, odd and quirky, dramatic, and laugh out loud funny.
I enjoyed it, but it definitely was not what I expected. Although it wasn't my favorite Lili Valente story, it is enjoyable as any of her books are.
BANG THEORY:
Still quirky, but such a cute couple!
I loved Shep and Bridget together. They go from friends to lovers even though Shepherd fights against it with all his might. That alone made me chuckle!!
The chemistry between these two - holy moly!! "If the chemistry stays this hot, the two of you are going to end up banging like bunnies. Or something worse than bunnies..." The rest is just the type of analogy I'd expect from the lovely Lili Valente!
"I'm helping Bridget with her Bang Theory because I want to bang Bridget, pure and simple." Indeed.
These two are adorable together and then things take a dramatic turn, but in the end - it's a fun, enjoyable romance and humorous series.
BANGING THE ENEMY:
I devoured this book - my favorite of the series.
I absolutely loved Theo and Cutter. They definitely go from enemies (more so on her side) to frenemies who "sleep" together to fake romance to of course, real romance.
This one still has the quirks we love from a Lili Valente book, but it had depth to the story and Cutter and Theo just pull you right into their love story and you can't help but root for them. And when Theo "lashed out like a cornered honey badger"...well that was laugh out loud funny!
There's some added suspense that will make you hold your breath too.
This book was just awesome sauce rolled up into one entertaining package.
THE ROCK STAR'S BABY BARGAIN:
4.5 stars - love these two together.
Colette and Zack are in the same friend circle and while Zack may have found Colette attractive - she was attached, so he never crossed the line.
However, when that changes - the dynamics change.
What starts out as a quick trip to New York so Zack can get some recording done and for Colette to get away from her broken heart turns into so much more. This one wasn't quite as quirky as the others - except for the whole agreeing to father Colette's baby, so I guess that was enough on its own. lol
This one has plenty of bumps in the road and some angst, but true love wins in the end.
All these books are swoony fun sexy rides of all the feelings. The stories included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, secrets, slight danger, and all the heart squeezing love.
The Bangover
This is a best friends to lovers, secret crush romance with a side of fame and ex-drama. Colin is a famous rockstar and Kirby is a best selling author. They’ve been best friends since they were teenagers. After a bit too much to drink they decide on a Vegas week where they’ll be kissing friends as a last hurrah before he’s celibate for creative reasons and to get her over her post breakup dry spell. Then back to friends they go - but are things ever that easy? No they are definitely not.
The Bang Theory
I loved Shep and Bridget best friends to lovers, sex education with a side of delayed gratification. Shep is a famous drummer. Bridget runs a bed and breakfast in a small town. They’ve been friends since childhood. Thinking she’s bad at sex due to her lack of boyfriends, Bridget asks for Shep to be her sex lab partner. Shep reluctantly agrees. The c’mere, c’mere, getaway, getaway push and pull was delicious perfection. As was the plot device of text messages to move the story along.
Banging the Enemy
I enjoyed Cutter and Theodora’s enemies to lovers, fake relationship with a side of light danger. Cutter is a famous rock star. Theodora is a chef in their hometown. They’ve been enemies since high school except for one steamy night six months ago. Learning his college girlfriend is getting divorced and believing she’s his one, he convinces Thea to be his girlfriend so the ex will see he has changed. Thea reluctantly agrees in exchange for getting a great spot for her new restaurant. The journey to their HEA is a bit bumpy because of all the feelings denying but they get there. In my opinion for an enemies to lovers story to work, the author has to straddle a fine line of sexy animosity without tipping into meanness or abuse. The author did this beautifully.
Rock Star’s Baby Bargain
I loved loved Collette and Zack’s baby making agreement with a side of new life paths. Zack is a good guy rockstar who has just quit his band to start a solo career. Collette is a good friend of Zack’s best friend and she is also desperate for a baby. An overheard conversation leads to them agreeing to a two week vacation fling and then agree to a baby making addendum. The plan is for no feelings but of course that plan quickly goes sideways.
Holidays with Bang-Ifits
A short sweet fun and sexy novella about Genevieve and Panic, two of the grown up children of Kirby and Colin and Collette and Zack as they start their HEA.
An entertaining, thrilling and highly romantic series. I enjoyed each book equally. It was fun to go on these adorable Rock Stars and their counterparts.
Highly recommend purchasing the entire series, totally worth it. The stories on their own are awesome, they blend so well from one to the next. It's a world worth losing yourself in (even just for a few days or weeks.) Hilarious moments, hot and steamy, good pace throughout, but the end I felt like I watched a movie (or TV series.) See individual reviews or details on each book.
