Once again, war has come to Ganderland’s shores. With the threat of a Cardian invasion only weeks away, King Tyden’s forces dig in along the western coast, with most of his fleet of warships moving to Calban in anticipation of an attack—an attack that does not come where expected. When his ships are burned after an act of sabotage, King Tyden must turn to the Wolf of Corwick after a Parnuthian armada navigates the frigid northern waters in a surprise move to land forces in the east.
Hadrack is quick to put an end to the savage Parnuthian advance, retaking towns and castles as he forces the invaders back toward the coast and their ships. But, with victory almost within his grasp, Hadrack receives an urgent summons that cannot be ignored, sending him sailing to the south in a race against time after a hated foe—with the prize for the winner Waldin’s missing copy of the Halas Codex offered for sale by a mysterious figure known only as The Fisherman.
So begins one of the most harrowing adventures of Hadrack’s life as he tries to navigate his way through the web of lies, deceit, and half-truths surrounding the codex. Who is The Fisherman? And what happened to the former House Agent, Malo? But most of all, who is the man behind the cult-like White Ravens, a growing sect of religious fanatics bent on tearing the world apart one kingdom at a time?
As Hadrack sets out to learn the answers to these questions, he is joined by the beautiful and fiery castaway, Sarrey del Fante, who, as it turns out, has a secret of her own—one that could spell doom for the Wolf and his men.

Damn fine read!!! Cloutier really hit all the marks on this one. Lord Hadrack has a military mind, with the help of Jabidos, Baine and Fitz he pulls it all together. Even when Hadrack is on the run he can think fast in his toes. He goes after a Codex an in ends up in a lot of trouble. So he is on the run with a princess to protect an running in to the desert for safety at least he hope's he dose. He prays that his men are still alive an on his ship. Well written an exciting to read you won't want to put it down.
Have enjoyed reading every one of the novels about the Wolf of Corwick Castle. Terry Cloutier does not rely on any boring formula for his books. He creates characters of depth, cunning and heart. Fabulous stories!! Very much looking forward to books 7 and 8!
I know I'm late with a review of Terry Cloutier's series of The Wolf of Corwick Castle due to Computer problems the entire series turned to be really Great reading I would highly recommend people should read books written by Terry Cloutier Laurie Stuart Blacktown
While I've become quite attached to this series and the characters within, this just wasn't exciting for me. I felt like Alot of what was to come was easily predictable. I m still interested in the author and any future works he puts out. This story did not turn me off, can't hit a home run every time.
The protagonist is someone who is totally unlikeable. He’s arrogant, self-centered and flies off the handle at the slightest issue.
The book falters often because of this character. You can even forget the multitude of grammatical errors and misspellings because the basic book is flawed.
Just what the world needed another crazy cult! Thank goodness for the Wolf! Glad to see the Wolf finds love again. Get the books and leave your reviews.
I have enjoyed this series immensely. It has everything you want in an action adventure: A strong protagonist, outstanding support characters, an intriguing storyline and excellent writing. I'm looking forward to the next adventure!
