At 28 years old, Kayan Woodstock never imagined she would end her 2-year engagement to her longtime boyfriend and successful businessman Dimitri Santiago because of his infidelity.
The cheating scandal erupts, Kayan goes MIA using a fake name and spends four glorious weeks in Jamaica. She meets Alec Sanderson by a sheer stroke of luck but he is also running from his own demons. The attraction is undeniable and despite putting up resistance, they give in.
However, all good things must come to an end. Goodbyes aren't exchanged but they each walk away with explicit memories and an insatiable sexual craving.
I really enjoyed the book but the only problem I had with it was that the way the author had the characters speaking made them seem less intelligent than they were and on top of it unfortunately it also in my opinion it also made them seem to be like what some ignorant people would label certain people with a stigma which can lower opinions instead of building on character growth. These characters were portrayed as strong, intelligent, and beautiful people but the way they spoke ruined it for me. It almost ruined the book for me. Ignorance is not always bliss especially when it is displayed in ones speech.
I was introduced to this story via FB. The excerpt was long enough to capture my attention. I don't like downloading reading apps so decided to Google the title and found it on Kindle Unlimited. Let me tell you, there are plenty of twists and turns that will keep you reading nonstop to get to the next section. The beginning chapter was straight evidence I was in for a bumpy ride. Can't wait to see what you do next!
reading a book that goes on and on, its like that. The novellas that are released weekly that go everywhere but in a direct plot path, yeah. So it could have ended multiple times over and should have.
It took me way too long to finish this book, I lost interest a few times. Eventually I forced myself to finish simply because I hate leaving books unfinished. The story was good overall, but at one point the characters got a little irritating with the way they talked to each other.
This book is a good read. Just when you think you know where the story is going , it takes a turn. I went from disliking the villains to feeling sorry for them .
DNF. I was recommended this book. But it’s pretty bad. It’s a long one that could have finished at many places and I found I just had to DNF instead.
I found some of the interactions funny and laughed out loud quite a few times. However, bad editing and the fact that it went on and on and was getting a bit ridiculous made me want to give the book away.
And please, what’s with every woman stomping her feet like a child having a tantrum. Pllllllease!!
