When demons invade your mind, the chances of ever getting fully rid of them are slim.
Don't fight them mindlessly, but don't let them conquer you, either.
Sit down, drink tea, and deal with your demons. Understand them and how they affect you. Be gentle with yourself. And then find healthy ways to live a good and fulfilling life in coexistence.
In her third book, berkana.vuno takes us on a very personal journey.
Between her usual soulful poems and prose, which already provide deep insights into her heart, she shows an even more vulnerable side in this work. Several sections are dedicated to how she dealt with her depression; a helping hand extended to those who are struggling.
A brave move that I personally appreciate.
After pages that can make your heart heavy, berkana.vuno knows how to lighten the mood again with some humorous sayings and jokes that path the way to a chapter she dedicated to an anthology.
A variety of wonderful poems of all kinds give insight into the worlds of other writers, who berkana.vuno invited to publish some of their favourite works in her book.
I myself contributed one of my poems and am very grateful and happy to be a part of it.
Her previously unpublished poems in the following chapter were a nice surprise and rounded off another wonderful work full of heart and soul, which, like its predecessors, did not disappoint.

Loovveddd this book! Not only is it aesthetically stunning, the poetry has depth and motion that moves you. It's a journey of journies. Highly recommend.

The battle continues...
Our beloved shield maiden has donned her armor once again. She has come to learn that for every 2 steps forward, she must yield 1 step back. The battlefield is marred with brief victories - some great / some small - only to be followed by stumbles, falls, and retreats. Most of which, suffered from within - a treacherous minefield within her mind.
The war, long from over, is merely beginning if she wants to regain control of her life and heal her weary soul.
This time, however, she has sought new allies. She has called upon others to raise their voices above the chaos and fog of war... To share their experience, their battle prowess, and their support to aid in her plight.
Will she continue to fight or give in to despair?
What are the casualties of this war?
For some, the end is nigh.
Perhaps a whisper of hope is all she needs to prevail.
