Alexander Summerset, future King of Bellerive, doesn't believe in love. When a coronation clause has him seeking a wife, an arranged marriage suits him. His criteria is simple. She must be tolerable to him, and she must be good for the country.

Aurora Wilson followed her boyfriend to Bellerive after college and joined his family's business. When she discovers him cheating on her, she flees their apartment, and the life that's trapped her.

An unlikely and unexpected meeting stuns them both. For a man who doesn't believe in love, he's suddenly only got eyes for her.

There's only one problem. He can only marry royalty or a native Bellerivian, and she is neither.

It could have had less pages. It was too lengthy.

Slow burn, drama, secrets and angst.

Alex didn’t warm my heart. His actions lacked maturity and strength.
Rory definitely deserved to be treated greater!
Both mcs thought they had been in love in previous lives but this topic remained unsolved and was never elaborated.

OMG!!!!! This book was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! The story, the characters, the chemistry..... I could go on and on and on and still not say enough about how much I loved this book. This book is part of a series of connected characters however it was able to be read as a standalone with no problem. I will however need to go back and binge all of the other books I missed because I loved these characters so much that I NEED to know their stories as well.

This book follows Alexander, the first in line for the Bellerivian thrown. When he finds out that in order to be King he must be married he adds that on to the list of things he must do for his country and agrees to an arranged marriage. However, his world is turned upside down the night he rescues Rory from the side of a cliff. She isn't royal or native to the country so even though his heart finally feels something for the first time, they can never have a future. She is just getting over catching her boyfriend cheating and is not looking for romance. When the sparks fly between these two all lines get blurred and fire ignites.

Get ready to be taken on a ride of emotions because this book will have you feeling all of the feels! Once click this ASAP!

This is my first book by this author and the level of angstiness surprises me! It's full-on drama, jealousy, betrayal, secret relationship, and the forbidden/age gap romance the facet that is so good.

It's a classic royal forbidden romance! The number of times that I just wanna throw my phone across the room is unreal. I love to hate the main characters. I don't even like the "miscommunication" conflict device in romance, yet for some reason, it truly works in the narrative.

Across the board, I enjoyed reading Heavy crown, the story is the perfect combo of emotions and angst! Highly recommend!

HOLY COW!!! Heavy Crown by Wendy Million is an unputdownable book. That's the truth! Once I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down. Everytime my husband looked at me my nose was buried deep in my tablet. I could hardly look up to answer him. What's for dinner? Duh, I don't know. Do you want to go pick something up? No, you go. Do you mind if I go fishing? Nope. Are you ready for bed? Only if you'll let me finish this book before the light goes out. Honestly, I was hooked.

Heavy Crown is the next book in the Bellerive Royals series. I have really enjoyed all of the books in this series but, Heavy Crown has to be the best one yet. Alexander Summerset is the next in line to become King of Bellerive. In the past books, I didn't care much for him. He was an all work and no play sort of guy. He did try to take his brothers girl away from him when they ran into a bump in the road but for the most part he did not believe in love. He redeemed himself in this book.

I love the characters that Wendy  has carved out for us in these books. As I look back, there are a lot of them that I did not like up front. As each book pulls out one of the Royals to highlight, we get to know them more up front and personal. You realize what drives them and what makes them who they are. I truly loved the Donaghey Series. It was so good but, I honestly have to say I love this Bellerive Royals series a little more. I can't put my finger on it but, I feel like Wendy Million gets better with every book she writes.

Warning! Her books can be scorching HOT!! I like that every once in a while and I admit it is not a steady diet for me. I don't find the scenes in her books obnoxious. They flow into the story and are not put there just to make them hot. They have a reason. They are a part of the story and have an illustrative purpose for being there. I would still encourage my best friend to read the books. You just can't go wrong with a good story.

If you have not read any of Wendy Million's books, jump right in. I suggest reading them in order for the fun they bring but, I think they would do well as stand alones. If you are a big Wendy Million fan, I would make sure you read this book pronto. What are you waiting for? Clear a day of your schedule and enjoy the best read from her yet!

I won’t lie. Alex infuriated me. I knew the rock and hard place he found himself between seemed impossible to change, but oh, how he hurt Rory along the way. And believe me, Rory had already been dealt enough heartache by men who should’ve made her a priority or at least a thought. So when it all came tumbling out, she felt like a fool. A chump. A joke. And she reacted accordingly. Granted, Alex tried to make it right, but when drunken plans meet broken hearts, things go awry. So could he fix this? Could he have both Rory and the crown? Or was Alex dooming both Rory and himself to misery with others instead of the one they love?

Yet again, this author absolutely did not disappoint with the angst and emotion. Alex did many dumb man things in the spirit of “for the greater good” and hoped all would end well without really pushing to make a change. And Rory knew that this was a no-win situation, but love has a way of making someone stay and hope for the impossible. The worst part? The secrets weren’t that well kept…some of them, anyway. Others crushed Rory’s heart and will to keep trying. And still others caused Alex to finally stop and think about what he really wants in life. These two took me on an adventure of love and loss and lies, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I came out the other side a little batters and a lot happy that Alex got a bit of a comeuppance when he finally got his head and heart aligned!

HEAVY CROWN By W. Million

Rory gets the biggest surprise of her life on her birthday when she returns home to find her boyfriend in bed with his Ex. This is the guy who she left her home , parents and country behind for. After fleeing her apartment she meets with an accident, that is when Alex sweeps in and saves her from going over a cliff.

😊What i liked -

✔ Royal romance/Opposite Attract.

✔ OH MY GOD this book had me hooked instantly. I absolutely loved Alex (though he infuriated me from time to time).

✔ My heart went out for Rory, poor girl to find herself in such a difficult situation in a country where she knows no one other than her jerk of a boyfriend.

✔ This book is full of drama, laughter, angst, slow burn tip toeing, and a support system in their own weird royally way.

✔ I absolutely loved Posey's character. She was hilarious.

✔ The chemistry between Rory and Alex and how deserts are involved is totally Wooah. (being a pastry chef myself I am jealous of their slow burny pastry making scenes).

🤔What could have been better -

✔ Ahhh now I know I have said it multiple times but the author's don't listen to me. Please ship the real life Alex to me after he has renounced his title. (i can't deal with so many eyeballs following me)

📚Who Should read :

👶 Beginner's

💘Romance Lover's

💕Opposites Attract

👸Royal Romance

📈My Rating : 5/5

P.s - This is book 3 in the series, but can be read as a standalone .

Thank you W, Million and Social Butterfly PR for a copy.

AHHH! My fav in this series!

This is one of those books I just absolutely loved loved loved! I loved both Alex and Rory. They just had such a wonderful chemistry together. Laughed, I cried I cheered. And yet even though there is still a serious part of the story/series - ❤️’d it! The best part for me and something I completely urge and recommend…Read. The. Bonus. Chapters! You will not regret it! I anxiously await Brice‘s book, but I tell ya, it’s gonna be stiff competition with this one for me😍.

This is the book I didn’t know I needed. I went into this knowing I'd love it (I mean, I read Scarred Crown in one sitting so…) but I was wholly unprepared for how much.

This book shook me. In the best way. And to this day I'm not 100% sure why. Something about the completely devastating choice Alex has to make and the way he and Rory find themselves caught in a love so fierce they'd give it all up was just captivating.

I feel so completely for everything they go through and I love reading their journey over and over again. This is my new comfort read even though it results in many tears and heart-ripping every time.

I believe their love. I believe their heartache. I believe the earth-shattering consequences if they fail. And I love every minute of this book.

These two were meant to be and the universe found a way to make it happen, even as the world seemed to fall apart.

This book is breathtakingly beautiful and I cannot recommend it enough.

Alex arrives at his father's office for an unplanned meeting only to be met by not only his father but also, his mother, his brothers Brice and Nick, Nick's fiancee and King's secretary Julia, Julia's mother the retired secretary and Desmond the secretary he shares with his brothers. It's not a stretch to imagine something ominous is going on.

Apparently in going through the Coronation Manual they've found that in order for Alex to be crowned he must be married. If that's not enough to take in, the woman must be a native of Bellerive or a Royal of another country. There's also the fact that divorce is outlawed for the royal family. Alex will find a suitable wife and he will be satisfied with an arranged marriage. There is no other choice.

After a year of dating, Rory followed her boyfriend Derrick to Bellerive upon college graduation. They had spent a week there prior to the move and she had fallen in love with the island. The reality she finds living here is so much different. They work for his parents, they rent from his parents and it's expensive. The argument they must prove themselves somehow isn't holding up anymore. Rory is the pastry chef at their golf club, and they often have her fill in other places as well. They treat her like cheap labor and Derrick lets them often with the excuse it will one day be ours. Today is her birthday and she actually got off work early, only to find Derrick in bed with another woman. Happy Birthday to her, she turns around and leaves, she has no idea where she's going but she has to get away. As she drives, she finds herself on an unfamiliar road in heavy fog. Then she's hit from behind.

Alex is on his way back home from yet another meeting with a possible match. This one was Brice's suggestion. Catherine is too young, just eighteen and they have nothing in common. It was a very painful hour for him. As they approach the turn off for West Shore Road or stay on the direct route, Alex tells Kane to take the long way in spite of the fog. They come across an accident, a sports car in the middle if the road and a compact hanging off the edge of the cliff. Alex calls emergency services then proceeds to the car that's in danger of falling. With Kane's help he gets the woman out of the car, but it was a close call. Then he rides in the ambulance with her, feeling he's right where he should be.

They speak briefly once she's awake in the hospital, long enough for Alex to make arrangements to be responsible for her. At the palace it's another story altogether, Brice is the first one to question him followed by his mother. His father already knows of the accident and him rescuing the woman now residing in a guest suite across from his. The following morning brings a more interesting conversation with Aurora, showing a totally different side to Alex. One we've never seen before.

Of course, things are all that simple, and Alex has leave for a week of what he terms Royal Speed Dating. In spite of his growing feelings for Rory, he can't marry her, and duty and country come first, and he has explained it all to her.

A Danish princess, a return of Derrick, Nick and Julia's wedding and so much more!

I love the way this story plays out, there's laughter, tears, sizzle, loopholes and so much more!

Crown Prince Alexander Summerset will do anything for his country Bellerive, including agreeing to an arranged marriage as a stipulation of his coronation. But when he saves the life of pastry chef Aurora Wilson and they’re inexplicably drawn to each other, things get complicated. Alexander can only marry royalty or a native Bellerivian, and Aurora is neither …

Ahhhhhh, I loved everything about this book! It’s a beautiful and heart wrenching modern day fairytale that grabbed me by the heart, wrapped it to shreds and put it back together in the best way!

I read a lot of fantasy books, and the fated mates/soul mates trope is one of my favourites but I haven’t seen it before in contemporary romance. Alex and Rory’s pull to one another reminded me of this and really added to the magic of the story.

One of my favourite aspects of the book was the amazing and believable characters. I adored dark and brooding Alex and enjoyed watching how sweet, open Rory melted his guard. Rory is the girl that everyone wants as a bestie, especially with her baking skills!

Rory and Alex’s angst filled relationship really put me through an emotional wringer and I’ll admit to full on ugly crying at certain parts as I was so invested in them! Their slow burn chemistry was electric and gave me butterflies and I was rooting for them to get together.

I loved Alex’s brothers and his sister in law Posey. This is the first book in the series that I’ve read and although it reads well as a stand-alone, I can’t wait to catch up on Posey and Nick’s love stories in the previous books.

The author covers some really important topics in the book such as Alzheimers and euthanasia, but these are done authentically and sensitively and really add context to Alex’s situation.

Heavy Crown is an addictive, emotional rollercoaster of a ride that I never wanted to end. All romance lovers need this series in their lives. Just grab some tissues first …

Number 3 in the Bellerive Royals series and we're all here for it. Alex was a bit of a sensitive topic after Scarred Crown but nothing is ever as clear cut as it seams. This book explores his side of the story and the struggle of balencing his "work"-life with his family-life, relationships and the consequenses of his decisions.

Rory joins this series like one should join any party: never empry handed and bearing delicious treats. These treats, along with her delicate balance of strong and vulnerable personality, definitely urned her her title.
If we are honest, at one point we all wanted the fairy tale story Rory stumbled into, where we unexpectedly catch the future kings attention, but whilst we wanted to be whisked away into the sunset, this is not what we had in mind. That being said, this was better. It showed the hard work that goes into relationships, the importance of communication and being willing to compromise but also to stand firm and fight for what is right for you. Its about not being influenced or giving up, its about finding love ever when you are deliberately not looking for it and it is about the effort one needs to put into each relationship, with strangers, lovers, family, friends and the rest of society.
Alex, we are sorry for hating and not understanding you at first and Rory, thanks for melting his icy heart and we neer the recipes for those treats.

Honestly? 10 fucking stars!!

ARC!

The only downfall of the book was it ended, and I craved so much more!
Their banter, their connection, their friendship, their relationship… everything was beautifully executed!! 🥺
I can’t say shit about the book cause it was so well written, it has great plot & even amazing characters.
I even wanted to read the previous books as I loved her writting style.

The story follows Aurora & Alex, very princessy-like names btw. Rory almost dies & her fate changed completely, she gained friends , Job & even emotional stability which lacked in her previous relationship.
Alex is the future king, he used to have an infatuation with her childhood friend who ends up falling inlove to his brother & breaking Alex heart in the middle.
They meet due to almost fatal circumstances and develop a friendship which turns out to be more.

Now, they are definitely soulmates. They have been inlove for thousands of years, and me being a firm believer in after life, I loved it!!!
Their relationship is wholesome, and dare I say non toxic. They lack communication skills, but who doesn’t! Point me to anyone who doesn’t, and I will tell u they are lying!!
But I honestly loved them so much, I would order this book just to read it again.

Tropes: age gap (10 years), forced proximity, strangers to friends to lovers. Third act breakup (worth it though), workplace romance (he’s a fucking prince and she’s a pastry chef).

Just read it, you won’t regret it!💜💜

Alexander is the future kind of Bellerive, and now he finds himself needing to find a wife because of a coronation clause so all he wants to do is find someone who is tolerable to him. Aurora followed her boyfriend after college in Bellerive, but finds herself in a real situation when she catches him cheating. As fate would have it, she ends up face to face with Alexander in the most crazy of ways, and things take a new turn that's for sure as he finds himself quite taken with Aurora. However, he has to marry royalty, and she's just been burned so let the complications pop off along with the sparks flying. Of course since this is a royal romance, there's palace intrigue all over the place which is just awesome because I can't get enough of that. There's the whole push & pull thing going on with Alexander as he makes questionable decisions in this journey that had me wanting to jump through my kindle to choke him out LOL! All of this makes a fantastic page turner with a big kicker of heat that I devoured in one sitting without taking a break to even eat because I had to have the whole story! Heavy Crown is a story that everyone needs in their life as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

After the way Alex acted in Nick and Julia's book, I wasn't sure I was going to like his story. But this author did an amazing job at building his story with Rory. The pressure he was under as Heir to the throne was insane. I felt my heart break for him over and over again when he had to choose the crown. I was so angry with him, but also understood he had a destiny and responsibility. Rory broke my heart too. Her situation was just as bad if not worse than Alex's. I didn't see a way out for them, but luckily, or fate, came through. Only in a book would something like this happen. This book was perfect. I love seeing posey and Julia happy and settled into their relationships. Now to figure out how Brice's is going to be.

Heavy Crown is one of those stories that you enjoy, but you can't put your finger on why! Alex, Prince of Bellerive, who is about to become King, was a book boyfriend that I swung from loving and hating, loving because he could bring out the swoon and then hating because, for someone about to become King, he sure kept poor Rory in the dark about his obligation's, which really frustrated me - having said that the story was fast-paced and unique.
Candian Rory moved to Bellerive to be with her boyfriend, two years on and well, Rory is left high and dry, a twist of fate brings her in contact with Alex, and for Rory, it is as if she had always known him, for Alex, the guy always in charge, always aloof when he meets Rory he is knocked completely of his axel, but this two maybe soul mates but a duty to his Kingdom may tear Rory and Alex apart.

smoking hot

This steamy love story will show you how if you love someone what you would do to keep that love. Alex and Rory are it, they are what I dream of at night. What brought them together was fate but could they find a way to make it work. Or will they have to give it all away to stay together. It is such a sweet love story that to me had a perfect ending. A must read in the Bellerive Royals series that is heart aching to see the struggles they go through but their love for each other is true and in the end will it be enough read more to find out. I love the Bellerive Royals!!

This story was so different than I was expecting.
One of the highlights in the story was I got to see a lot of Posey in this story, and she is the reason I am reading this series. I read her book a while ago and fell in love with her and her hometown of Bellerive.

This story centers on Alex who is the crown prince to be in Bellerive. His father is ill and needs him to become king, but it means he must marry and find himself a bridge. But she has to be of noble birth or be a local of Bellerive.

The heroine in this story is Canadian Aurora and she meets Alex on her birthday but also, she is having the worst day ever. Alex saves her in several ways. By saving her he also finds a job for her which keeps these two close. He fell hard for Aurora, but he also knows because of him needing a bride that she can never be his.

This is an insta lust/love type of story but with many obstacles in the way of these two finding their happily ever after. I found it an extremely well written book and very different and entertaining. But Alex does some things in this book and has some big secrets from Aurora. I did not love some of those actions and so at times I did not love him.

Aurora was this awesome character. She is so strong. She faces things heads on and she never fears how life knocks her down. She follows her heart, and she never lets humiliation or embarrassment get to her. I was astounded at her bravery and her courage in this book.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Okay, so W. Million is a new to me author, but I’m so happy I found her! “Heavy Crown” was an amazing book about a crown prince named Alexander Summerset who needs to find a wife. He decides on an arranged marriage because he doesn’t believe in love, but that was before he met Aurora “Rory” Wilson. He can’t marry her because she’s not a royal or a native Bellerivian, but he also can’t make himself stay away. Alexander and Rory’s love story was absolutely incredible, I loved all the twists and turns and how unexpected their relationship was. I’ll definitely be looking into more books by this author. I can’t wait to see what she writes next!!!

What a jolly good read!!

This is my first introduction to this series and author and now, I'll not see my family for a while whilst I'm lost in the other books. This can be a stand alone read, but if you're nosey like me, then you'll want to catch snippets of the characters to see what happens next.
Twin flames or soul mates, this book makes Alex reassess difficult decisions and for Rory makes her make tough choices.
The witticism of the characters is excellent.

Rory and Alex are so good together, I love when alex says he feels like just alex with her. Written so well, I love this series but this couple is my favorite

All of the feels

I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t put this book down.

W. Million writes characters that are so uniquely real that it’s impossible not to feel what they’re feeling. From hope to love to despair and heartbreak, everything the characters are going through, you as a reader will too.

I loved Rory and Alex’s story, especially the thought provoking question of destiny and the reincarnation of love.
