I think I’ve grown out of this trope - oh yay - another secret society sex club thingy. 🙄 and a whiney entitled loose-cannon H - I wish authors would stop putting us in the heads of these weak heros. Less is more. Some of these guys could definitely benefit from a little mystery. 😬🫣👀

It’s been too long since I’ve read a dark bully romance but thankfully this one reigniting my love of the genre. Filthy Jealous Heir is everything the title describes and more. It’s SPICY, intense, wrought with tension, and has some of the best enemies’ vibes I’ve read in a long time. This book was extremely hard to put down. It’s like once I got started, I became addicted. And now I’m anxiously awaiting more. This is the first book I’ve read from this author duo, and you can be sure that I won’t stop here. This one has me officially enamored with this dark world and the authors amazing storytelling ability.

Dark romance fans need to look no further. Their next 5 star read is wrapped right in between these pages!

3.5 stars! Sometimes I’m just in the mood for a dark, bully romance and this series sounded so good to binge! And this delivers on allll the messy, angsty, dark, bully romance vibes! Along with new adult and brother’s ex-best friend.

Reese shared a moment with his best friend’s sister, Olivia, before the story starts. But then he found something out about his family and left behind his friends, his school, and his life. When the story starts Reese is back and ready to get revenge on everyone in his life who hurt him in the past, including Olivia…who is now his new step-sister! 👀 Reese’s dad and Olivia’s mom ended up getting married and now they are all going to be living together for the summer!

We get lots of enemies/bully vibes from Reese towards Olivia and her twin Oakley, Reese’s ex-best friend. We also see lots of time at their private prep school, where Reese and Oakley are heirs from wealthy, powerful families. We do get possessive vibes from both Reese and Olivia, lots of drama, but it was entertaining enough! I liked that Olivia gives just as much back to Reese that he tries to give to her, her sass and strength was so great to see in a bully romance. They do have great chemistry with tons of hate-banging energy. You definitely have to be in the right mood/enjoy this type of story and tropes. But it was entertaining and leaves off on a cliffhanger that has me jumping into book 2 to find out what’s going on and what secrets will be revealed!

This is a duet narration and that worked so well for this story because of the back and forth between Reese and Olivia! Thank you so much to Forever and Always PR for the audio tour, all thoughts in this review are my own.

“What happened to you, Reese?”
“You, Olive. You happened.”

I finally met my first Caitlyn Dare romance and oh my does it slay!

WOW! I Did I just die and go to dark romance heaven?!? Filthy Jealous Heir is pure depravity and debauchery in prose—the guiltiest of pleasures—and I devoured every bit. Oh my does this romance slay!!! It’s so hot, heady, and heart-pounding with all the hate-love vibes. I felt this romance’s electricity coursing through my veins, bating my breath, setting my body on fire, and sparking my soul to life. A paralyzing intensity that hit me like a shot of adrenaline everywhere.

I was so enamored with the Heirs, a crew of family and friends. I felt them and their story so much. And Reese? Oh my is he one complex alphahole who wrapped me around him the whole time reading … brave, bold, and a hidden heart of gold. Olivia is his perfect match: a strong and stunning heroine who gives as good as she gets. Reese and Olivia combust together … a fusion of fire and ice. A hero and heroine who each feel nothing, but when together, they feel and are everything.

You would not know that this author is actually a duo of two master storytellers, as the writing is so seamless that it effortlessly flows across the pages, its passion pulling you in. Dare dials up the trifecta of romance tropes: stepbrother, enemies-to-lovers, and brother’s best friend. Filthy Jealous Heir is a wild ride with twists and turns and blazes and burns … a tantalizingly thrilling romance that’s the sweetest torture. I was bound to this book that bled into me. The perfect storm of dark and light ... fire and ice ... terror and tenderness ... sin and salvation. I couldn’t put this dark delight down.

💋💋💋💋💋💋 deliciously dark kisses

Filthy Jealous Heir Part One by Caitlyn Dare is book one in their newest series Heirs of All Hallows’.
It happens to take place a few months after the Prequel Wicked Heinous Heirs, which sets up the story of Reese Baron Whitfield-Brown and Olivia ‘Oliver/Olive’ Beckworth.

Since reading the blurb, Caitlyn Dare had me super excited to read this newest series of theirs. Especially since it gave me Gravestone Elite Trilogy vibes, a series that had me devouring it from start to finish.
And after having read Wicked Heinous Heirs, which I also consumed. Filthy Jealous Heir had me ready to see the continuation of Reese and Olivia’s journey, particularly after the cliffhanger we were left on in the Prequel.

Part One delivered with many elements making up a filling story, building upon an even more suspenseful ride. Particularly from the mysteries alluded too, on top of the lies being thrown out and secrets being hidden yet hinted too.
The story had you gripped on, eventually falling down the rabbit hole that was Reese and Olivia’s lives, as well as the secondary characters who happened to be connected to the two, (here’s hoping some of them get their own story).
There was also a lot of drama going on, yet it was to be expected due to everything that was going on in their lives surrounding family, friends, school and in Reese’s case being an Heir.

With all that was going on, it’s what made for a bumpy journey that caused a lot of ups and downs for Reese and Olivia to travel upon.
There was their individual paths given their separate battles they were fighting, part of it due to their inner turmoil from unresolved issues and feelings. And simultaneously from their paths connecting at times too.

It was undeniable despite the toxic relationship Reese and Olivia shared, it didn’t make it any less irresistible and addictive.
The delicious and at times funny banter they shared courtesy of their hatred towards one another had them going at each other with their back and forth quips. Making for some good entertainment.
Whilst also paving the way for flames to ignite from the rising sparks of the chemistry they shared. Eventually resulting in an explosive show when they gave into those unresolved feelings that were underlined with sexual desire.

Unfortunately there was a little lull in the middle where the story seemed to slow down for me, causing my excitement to wane a little.
However Caitlyn managed to turn it around, reeling me right back in with even more tension and suspense buildup keeping me gripped. Falling right back in and devouring the end of the story like no other.

That cliffhanger ending that Caitlyn Dare left me on has me ready for Filthy Jealous Heir Part Two ASAP! Honestly the second book could not come fast enough.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

After reading the novella that sets this series up, I had hope that it would be pretty good but I sadly spent alot of it cringing, looking at the % to tell when I'd be done, and knowing I wouldn't be picking up part two.

My main problem was Reese. Another was this whole Heir business itself.

Let me go to the Heir business first. We know its some sort of long term, traditional, Secret Society. But we're never told WHAT. We're never told what exactly the Heirs are for... What the ultimate goal as the society is... What happens as they get older? We know Oakley dad was one, but is he part of it now? Do they still hold some kind of power in some way, and if so what, how, where? What do the heirs have to do to keep this privilege?
All we see is them being sex obsessed with, wham bam thank you maams, party constantly, drinking, drug taking, wondering when they can next "get fucked and be fucked", they have "Heir Chasers" that they mock, despite being the ones reaching for them.
They get away with anything because of their status. Beating a boy up in the locker room (OK a valid reason after trapping a girl but still...), with Cosh turning a blind eye.
Oakleys dad constantly saying "boys will be boys".

We don't really see much of of the other boys. Only Oakley, and that's mainly due to him being Olivia brother. It would be good if we could connect with all 4 heirs if this was to be a series?

OK. Reese himself. He's vile, egotistical, self absorbed, pushy ordering on sexually abusive when he keeps touching Olivia despite her saying "no" several times. I understand sometimes it can be foreplay in some ways but he just seemed to push himself on her to prove a point and its these moments that made me cringe a little.

I know enemies to lovers is a major thing but Reese just needed to be brought down a peg or two before Olivia even gave him a minute of her time. But I think the way the book ended its too late.

But as I say, I've no real urge to pick up the ending or part two....

I'm sorry Ms Dare... I loved your Sinners series and other books you've written but I don't know what went wrong here!! Its probably me that's just creeped out by him - I mean we can't all like the same one right!? 🤷🏼‍♀️
It hasn't put me off picking up other books of yours in any case! 👌😊

Toxic, dangerous, and reckless

A step-sibling, secret society romance with all the intrigue, drama, and tension. Why does bad boy Reese want to ruin new stepsister Olivia? A highly entertaining storyline of this couple’s toxic interludes, unraveling secrets within newly inducted elites of which Reese is a member. A host of complementary side characters all enriched this story so well that I’m also clamoring for more stories in this world.

Reese was complex, derisive, and dominant, and the independent though sometimes insecure Olivia couldn’t deny her attraction. But why couldn’t the get along? Secrets, resentment, distrust…. This couple’s sexual chemistry was magnetic, triggered with some jealous possessiveness and tame (unfortunately) other person interest (other woman / other man drama). But what of Reese’s chosen one. Still, I loved the couples dynamic, the hate-like, the sexy, their overwhelming attraction and even the push and pull.

Again, the side characters flourished in enriching individual and interconnected character development and plot line. I liked guys - Reese, Oakley, Theo, Elliot (the lead) and the setting in England, rugby, and a secret society, collegiate, party environment. I could really visualize and immerse myself into the book. From the family vibe with all the guys of the elite, especially between Olivia and Oakley, her twin brother, to a sports backdrop, fierce rivals, and sexy, pre-game rituals I was consumed in what would happen next. Then the insidious rock, a foreshadowing of events to come.

Some parts of the book faltered. Reese claimed Olivia lied, one theme of the storyline. In fact, he declared he was going to ruin her, yet the story didn’t deliver on attempts really. Having professed that objective in the early part of the book, payback didn’t really pan out, indeed, even any fitting sexual coercion. It seemed forgotten. And the biggest issue: there was no sex really. 1/5 chilis. But the spice, which would have been influential in the “I’m going to ruin you” was a tease. Innuendo, challenge, scoffs of foreplay, everything including the heat culminated at the climatic, end just after a lull about three fourths in.

Multiple, first person points of view and a progressive pace, the writing was good, and plot line captured my attention. With hints abound, secrets of the past, and interesting characters I definitely need to know what happens next. Overall, highly entertaining read.

Boy skips town due to a complicated family situation, but when he's forced to come back home he's snubbed by his three former best friends, one of which is now his new stepbrother. He also has a new stepsister—his friend's twin—and he decides to get revenge by breaking her heart.

Typical high school bully romance plotline with the interesting exception of Reese (the hero) being bullied by his three former best friends in private, while outwardly having to seem united for the sake of appearances. I liked that Olivia doesn't put up with Reese's shit (except when she wants to) and overall they have a decent love-hate relationship. There are a couple funny scenes of banter between the four guys where they really feel like juvenile teenagers. However, along with that comes an overload of sex and very demeaning language towards the girls they fool around with. Nothing about their attitudes was attractive. I also have a hard time buying into 18-year-olds having a private residence/club on-site at their school, complete with a sex dungeon in the basement. This book ends on a cliffhanger, but I'm undecided if I'll skim-read the next book or stop here.

Reese is our resident hero/slash bully(ish), and he's definitely a tortured soul. He feels like people need to pay for things, and it turns out that Olivia (whose twin brother is Reese's best friend) becomes his target for anything that's happened to him & for a bonus his soon to be stepsister. Sounds terrible right?! Turns out that Olivia isn't about to lay down & take his ridiculous actions so she goes toe to toe with him in a fashion that had me cheering out loud for her while reading because he deserved it. Of course with that type of animosity leading to serious back & forth, the sparks are flying so things get really interesting as the chemistry is thick while the twists are coming in hot making my heart rate go up as I flew through the pages and it's not even over yet. As I close out this review, know this, I'm ALL IN with their journey (and hopefully the supporting cast's journey going forward) that I'm sitting here impatiently waiting on Part 2! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

"Reese ignites a fire inside me, and the heat between us is addictive."

Even I can attest to that 👆I did not want to put it down. The banter and barbs between the two of them kept their story interesting and the way that Olivia tried to stand up for herself was appreciated.

There is no doubt that Olivia and Reese are going to be put through the wringer. With all the lies, deceit, and unresolved feelings that have been thrown around in this book, we are in for a treat.

The secondary characters are an additional bonus—although there are a few that could take a running jump and probably wouldn't be missed—and I really hope we will be gifted with their stories down the road.

The cliffhanger is on point, I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!

Overall, I really liked Filthy Jealous Heir, it is a HS, bully romance set in an elitist society. Reese is one of four heirs in this group. Olivia is the twin of another heir, Oak. Olivia and Reese had the best banter, their back and forth could not be beat. I am not going to lie, it made me chuckle. I love a fmc who can hold her own against a bully and give it back just as good.

One thing that bothered me was how Reese was received back after he chose to leave town with his father when it came out his mother had been having an affair with Oak's widowed father. Everyone treated him like he was the one who did something awful meanwhile, he was a teenager dealing with his family breaking and his mother choosing to be a mother to other kids in a way that she never was to him.

I am eager to see what happens next!

Filthy Jealous Heirs is book 1 in the new Heirs of All Hallow’s series and I can’t wait to see where Caitlyn Dare takes this.

I love a good dark bully romance and Caitlyn Dare definitely delivered that with Reece and the Heirs.

This is a story of revenge, power and betrayals. It’s a best friends sister, step siblings with hints of suspense. Olivia, Oakley’s sister (who is an heir) is feisty and not taking any shit and I loved her so much! This lead to a lot of sexual chemistry and I was here for it!

I fell head over heels in love with some of the side characters who I’m really hoping we see more of.

Overall, I loved the story and the characters and I can’t wait to see what’s to come with this series.

Another Winner by This Author

Caitlyn Dare has proven she knows how to write books that are full of steam, men you love to hate and strong women. Reese and Olivia definitely fill this order. It has it all with a brother’s best friend and a bully romance that is a huge page turner. The tension, suspense, lies just added all the more to this book. I can’t wait to see where this all goes with Part Two.

An ok read. I did like how the MC was the outcast trying to uncover secrets and win favors instead of how usually it’s the FMC in most Bully/ secret society type reads.
I didn’t like how we still don’t know why he hates his family and friends. Yes it’s a cliffhanger but some clues would have been nice. The characters were just ok-I’m actually the most intrigued by a female side character.

New Adult. Enemies. Secret society. Check triggers.

I know authors try to build suspense with “ZOMG, BIG secret.” But when you keep that secret from your readers, it ends up much like this, where Reese’s behavior is unexplained and unjustified.

Especially when it comes to Olivia. In the first chapter, we are told she is a liar and responsible, but like, for what, dude? Like, we don’t even know why you mad, so we definitely don’t know what she might have had to do with it.

We spend half the novel in Reese’s head. This would have been way more interesting if we knew his motives ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Filthy Jealous Heir by Caitlyn Dare is the best kind of enemies to lovers romance one can hope for. Firstly, they are step-siblings, then they are also childhood friends because Reese used to be Olivia’s brother’s best friend. So, they have a complicated history. Furthermore, there is a secret society that Reese happens to be a new member of. And finally, there is a nuclear level chemistry between them that neither are happy about and the push and pull in addition to hidden plans of vengeance make this book a huge winner. Filthy Jealous Heir was only the first book of the duet, and hopefully, there may be even more books coming later on about the side characters so it is definitely a must read for all dark romance lovers🖤

This was such a good book! It was easy to devour, and the angst and anger had me hooked. Reese and Olivia were foes that really held up against each other with their vindictiveness. They were both chaotic, and I loved every second. Their relationship was toxic, but so freaking addictive. The lies and secrets made it delicious. And the cliffhanger has me deceased. I can't wait for the next one!

This book is fire, and I fully recommend it if you love dark romance! Check out the prequel as well for more information on the world.

Filthy Jealous Heir is the first book in the Heirs of Hallow series. THIS WAS SOOOOO GOOD!! It has been a while since I've read Caitlyn Dare's books and I totally forgot how amazing they are. Filthy Jealous Heir reminded me how intense, how spicy, how hooked I can get reading their books. Reese and Olivia's tension and chemistry was sooo explosive. Definitely anticipating the next book as well as revisiting their previous series!

Soooo, I happened to love this series so much that I ended up listening to it a second time.

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Narration: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Story: I stand by my statement above. This is one of my favorite series by Caitlyn Dare. The intensity, the tension, the chemistry between Reese and Olivia is just mind blowing!!

Narration: I've since gotten used to the voices and I can't hear it any other way. I think what I love the most, is that during their specific character scenes, it's not one narrator doing both dialogues, but it feels like a realistic conversation with both sides. It's just so cool. I've never heard that before. Both James Joseph and Stella Hunter are so amazing, bringing these characters to life.

Nobody can kick off a new series quite like this duo, and not only is this a new series but a brand new one, but it's a dark and twisty world like only Dare can deliver.

A few words, and the floodgates opened; secrets and lies; a Grade A alpha-hole bent on retaliation while causing as much damage as possible in his wake. He’s cruel with his words and his actions, and within a few pages, his hate-fueled thoughts had me smitten. My toxic trait is falling for the most exquisitely dark and twisted alpha-holes that appear on my kindle. Reese is all of that, and he’s only just getting started.

Olivia is the twin sister of one of the Heirs, and that means that not only does she have one overprotective alpha-hole, she has four. I loved that she’s sassy and doesn’t automatically do what she’s told. She’s sassy, and when they push, she’s not afraid to push back. I’m looking forward to being able to dive deeper into this world. There are secrets and lies, and not everything is as it seems.

Reese is back after leaving the town he grew up in without so much as a goodbye to his fellow Heirs. He might be back with a plan of his own, but the Heirs aren’t exactly the forgiving type, and they have no plans to make his return easy on him. Reese is on a mission, but there are pieces to the puzzle that are missing. He’s vicious and angry, cruel and malicious with his words. So why do I love him so much? That alpha-hole hotness and the possessive and psycho levels of jealousy are my weaknesses, and he has them in spades.

The connection between Reese and Olivia is the type that you know has been there long before either realized it, although neither would admit it’s anything more than physical. It’s more than that, though; they have a scorching chemistry that seeps through the pages. The perceived wrongs and secrets are fueling the hatred between them, and there’s not a chance of anyone making it to the other side without being burned.

Filthy Jealous Heir is a dark and twisty, and utterly addictive, introduction to the Heirs of All Hallows’ series. An unputdownable blend of explosive chemistry, an unrestrained Grade-A-hole, a sassy heroine, dirty secrets, filthy lies, dark revenge, volcanic levels of steam—and this is just the beginning.

Author: Caitlyn Dare
Rating: 5/5 ⭐️
Spiciness Rating: 2/5 🌶
POV: First Person Dual Perspective

…Because despite the hatred between us, there’s something else.
A fire that refuses to burn out.
And Reese knows it.
But I still can't figure out why…
Why he’s trying to bait me into this game we’re playing.
“What happened to you, Reese?” I whisper, aware of his fingers flexed around my throat.
“You, Olive,” he growls. “You happened.”

Filthy Jealous Heir is Book One in the Heirs Of All Hallows’. There is a Prequel available Wicked Heinous Heirs. It is a quick introduction to the Heirs. It is not necessary to follow Filthy Jealous Heir, it's just a quick tease. The Heirs are beloved, worshiped, idolized, and have their futures completely mapped out, some including arranged marriages. They are the leaders of tomorrow and they revel in the debauchery of it all while they can. Reese feels his heritage is a noose around his neck. He is angry, bitter, and fueled by the idea of revenge. Olivia finds herself caught in his cat and mouse game. And, as much as she would love to walk away, she cannot. She is just doing her best to survive in a man’s world. The mood of this book settled in me. I absorbed all of Reese’s hate and anger. His obsession with Olivia. I could feel her getting caught up in his games. And, I could feel her wanting to break free. I was waiting for the bottom to drop out. And, it did in a way I was not expecting.

Reese Whitfield-Brown left Saints Cross 10 weeks ago with his dad hoping to escape his fate as an Heir. No such luck. He completely ghosted his best friends when he did. Now he must go back and live with his “new” family. His mother’s affair with his best friend’s father is one of the reasons he left. All the deception and lies have weighed on him. Now all he wants is his revenge…starting with Olivia.

Olivia is sister to an Heir. Her twin Oakley and his band of friends are next in line to carry the baton. Their futures are mapped out for them. Hers is wide open. Acclimating to all the changes coming their way has been a struggle and even more so now that Reese is back. Their encounter on Initiation night looms over her.

Reese wants to play and his partner of choice is Olivia. He is beginning to get under her skin. He is an Heir. He is her brother’s best friend. Their parents are together. And, he is promised to someone else.

Reese wants revenge and the ever loved Olivia is his answer. He is beginning to understand the need to make sacrifices for the greater good…his is bringing this town to its knees. So, he plays the game, plays his part.

But, what is going to happen when someone calls his bluff?

Filthy Jealous Heir is the first book in Caitlyn Dare’s new series Heirs Of All Hallows’. It starts a couple of months after the ending of the prequel Wicked Heinous Heirs and continues the story of Reese Whitfield-Brown and Olivia Beckworth. It is a dark bully romance, enemies to lovers and brother’s best friend. To understand about the Heirs, the secret society they belong to and the hate to love relationship between Reese and Olivia, I advise reading the prequel.

Reese is a dark and cruel hero. His world recently changed when he discovered the secrets everyone around him had been keeping. After leaving with a promise of a new life, Reese finds himself back in his old life in Saints Cross. He thought he wouldn’t have to endure that future and have a different one but his dad let him down and sent him back to his mother. He is angry because she has not only signed his life away but has now changed his home situation. The only good thing is the chance to ruin Olivia now they living under the same roof. He hates his best friend’s twin sister because to him she’s a liar and has betrayed him.

Olivia dislikes the traditions and rules of the Saints Cross families as chauvinistic and archaic. She detests how the Heirs act in such a depraved way and hates the shameless Heir Chasers. Olivia thinks Reese is arrogant and hates him. It irritates her how much he taunts her with cruel words and actions, all covered with a wicked smirk. She stands up to him as much as she can and handles him quite well, however, what she can’t handle is the effects he has on her body and emotions.

Reese hasn’t spoken to anyone since he left and they now hold all the power and rule All Hallows’ sixth form. It hurt to leave his friends and he had missed them but he felt trapped in a life he didn’t want. He has to work his way back into their group which isn’t that easy as they feel he betrayed them. He still has vivid memories of initiation night and cross he never got the answers he wanted but at least he now knows he affects her and can use it to his advantage.

Reese has a twisted desire for both Olivia and the vengeance he thinks he deserves. There is so much sexual tension and passion between them as they play games with each other. The vicious, hate filled words they throe at each other don’t hide their undeniable attraction but a relationship is forbidden for reasons out of their control.

We learn more about The Heirs, Oakley, Elliot and Theo and there are some interesting secondary characters. Olivia’s best friend Charli is fun and very outgoing. I particularly liked Abigail and Tally as they are mysterious but both obviously have a part to play in the story. We find out some of the secrets and lies Reese is so angry about but there are definitely more revelations to come. I did find some of the story predictable and guessed the cliffhanger ending but Reese is a complex guy with lots of layers to his character that I am looking forward to seeing how he deals with everything in part two.

I received a copy of this book form the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

He's filthy. He's jealous...and he's dead set on ruining her. Olivia Beckworth knows what it's like to live in a man's world. She is the twin sister of an All Hallows' Heir, after all. Wicked. Arrogant. Entitled. They stalk the halls of All Hallows' like gods. She hates everything they stand for, everything they represent. But she hates none more than Reese Whitfield-Brown. Her brother's ex-best friend and the Heir that up and left them without so much as a word. At least with Reese gone, no one will find out her dirty little secret. She's safe. She can move on with her life. Until Reese show up ready to get revenge on everyone who hurt him. Including Olivia. His new stepsister.

This is the first book in the Heir's of All Hallows'. It is a revenge/bully romance. The story of Olivia and Reese.
Reese is a All Hallow's Heir and he just up and leaves with his father for reasons I am not sure we totally got all of in this book. I hope to find out more in the second book and I really hope I find out why he has it out for Olivia because I closed this book not really knowing why he was so set on destroying her. No doubt he has it bad for her and that only grows in this book and they had their moment before he up and left. But now he is back and when he gets to his house he thinks his mom will be waiting and what he finds is a note that they will now be living with his ex-best friends father and his kids. Reese use to be her brothers best friend but as expected they are all angry. He deserted them just as they were getting all the power. They all had plans and he disappeared. Reese is two and I think it was mainly with his mom and his father who lied to him and then sent him back. He is also promised to marry a girl he doesn't even know really know and all his friends are going to make him earn his way back into be a Heir. Olivia is not a fan of what the Heir's stand for and her twin brother is one of them. All they want to do is party and have their fun with the heir chasers. But Reese is back for revenge. Everyone is going to pay and now one is safe. He is set to destroy and then leave again. I didn't get all the answers I needed and I really got a little tired of him repeating and doing the same things over again. Not so much that it wasn't a book I could not finish but it did irritate me. So, since this is the first book you should expect a cliffhanger and I think this one shocked me. Now I for sure need to know what is going to happen next.

🏉🖤 Filthy jealous Heir 🖤🏉

By Caitlyn Dare

Trope: A dark highschool romance

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Feelings: ❤️ 2/5 🌶 4/5 ☠️ 4/5

Like a hurricane

Reese and Olivia are like a thunderstorm. They patter on each other like storm clouds. Reese is out to take revenge for the wrongs he had to endure, that is what he thinks. In his path the most deserving person is Olivia.

Olivia doesn’t understand what made Reese hate her so much. But at the same time he can’t seem to stay away for a different reason.

…I want to wipe it off his stupidly gorgeous face…

He is the hurricane to come, she is his calm, he didn’t know he needed or wanted.

After falling on the bad sad of his former friends and heirs, Reese has to go back on their good graces. But he has so many reasons to do so, that in the process he lost track why exactly there are more than one. But every time when Liv steps in the picture she reminds him of it.

Olivia, his best friend's twin sister, his new step sister and secretly his biggest hate center and weakness at the same.

“Tell me you were jealous, sweet cheeks, and I`ll let you walk out of here right now.”

She only wants to survive her school year and then get out of this city and its residents and their traditions. But that is easier said than done, because of Oakley, her twin and their bond. A bond that slowly seems to fade. Because of the traditions and their outcomes. Falling or lusting after one of the heirs, and her brother’s best friend, wasn’t on her mind. And that for more reasons.

Surviving Reese, school and the secrets that wait at every corner is a game Olivia isn’t sure she can win. If she even wants to.

As the thunderstorm that is Reese’s and Olivia`s life slowly turns into a wind, another unforeseeable force strikes in their life.

…the only place I want to be right now is with her…

I liked Olivia a lot. She isn’t perfect but she doesn’t change for anybody. As a girl she isn’t a big part of the city and its traditions but she always didn’t want to. Despised it. She knows her status and lets nobody get close to her because of it.

Reese is very stuck in his mind, opinions and his goal. But it seems there is more to it than we know. There is more to come. But his demeanor changes slowly, part of because of Olivia. Can’t wait for the next book to continue this story. It is very intriguing and the side characters make me curious as well.

This is my first read from Caitlyn Dare and I was immediately intrigued by the blurb.

Things I loved:

- The two main characters. I loved them both - although I will say I was frustrated with Reese's a*sshole tendencies for most of the book, and just wanted to shake him haha. Olivia and Reese were toxic together but had some amazing chemistry, and hilarious banter that honestly had me rooting for them from the start, if only they could get out of their own way.
- Although it was a relatively slow burn when these two connect the fireworks go off that's for sure.

Things I didn't love:

- I felt like the book didn't have enough oomph carried out throughout the whole thing - this was fixed with the ending and that epic cliffy, but it still would have been great to have a bit more substance in the middle.
- The plot was a little bit predictable for me and had very stereotypical bad boys.

This was filled with drama, lies, unresolved feelings, and plenty of bad boys, and I am definitely intrigued to see where the story goes, and how Reese and Olivia develop in the next part.

"Something this good can't only be hate."

Caitlyn Dare brings us a new world where several bad boys belong to a hypocritical-long-standing-tradition secret society. One that I feel the women in this world won't just roll over and just beg at their feet. Filthy Jealous Heir was dark and delicious in only the best way an enemies-to-lovers story can be.

Yes, I do love a really good bad boy, but Caitlyn Dare also loves bringing us the equally good bad girl to rile those bad boys right up. Honestly, those books from Dare are my favorite and so far this first part of FJH is falling right into that category.

I would recommend reading the prequel for some reference. It covers the initiation along some other vital information between everyone and where a lot of the animosity between everyone stems from.

While Reese makes it pretty clear that he dislikes Olivia she also makes it clear that she is not a girl who backs down or rolls over when Reese pushes her around. She grew up with all of the Heirs and while her twin brother is initiated into the society and is uber protective of her, if there is anyone who might have more sway over her it's her twin. Aside from that Olivia has a voice and she gets a  little tired of the "boys will be boys" phrase her dad tosses out or even walking down memory lane as he glosses over her comments and basically pats her on the head. I feel Olivia is going to bring a day of wreckening and I can hardly wait.

Reese is filled with some dark secrets and yet, he is also filled with a lot of regret. I don't believe he's entirely looking to ruin people for the sake of being a total douche, although a lot of his actions sort of lead us down that path...he's angry, he's definitely hurt, and he's lashing out because of everything that is pent up and out of his control. I'm calling him a lion with a thorn in his paw and he believes that Olivia is a mouse. Did that fable work out well for both animals, maybe I need to brush up on my Aesop, either way...I can hardly wait for the continuation of this story since we were left with a whopper of a cliffhanger. Will the lion catch his mouse once the thorn is removed or will the mouse run away?
