A starry night in December and no room at the Sea Star Inn...After an unexpected turn of fate, Brie McBride returns to Florida pregnant and weary. A pre-holiday stay at the Sea Star Inn and Cottages is at the top of her wish list. Seeking comfort and rest before spending Christmas with family, she runs into the one man who can make her feel worse.
Promised a secluded holiday vacation, country music singer, Heath Bryan shows up an hour north of his hometown to stay at the Sea Star Inn and Cottages. To his dismay, his cottage has also been rented to someone else. Money talks, but there are no BNBs or vacancies in the area, and he’s dead on his feet.
When he runs into a woman from his past, right there at the inn, is it simply bad luck? Or the best possible holiday gift? Can a former love put a fresh song in this burned out country music singer's heart?
If you enjoy a heartwarming Christmas romance filled with surprises, reconciliation, and love, you'll adore this happy ever after holiday story.
What a fun and charming holiday romance! Great twist to the “no room at the inn” story, along with a second chance romance! Heath is a swoony musician with a heart of gold. Brie is a strong woman with a big secret. Both looking for their long-awaited HEA. This book is perfect to snuggle up by the fire with a mug of cocoa and binge in one sitting!
This story is well written. I love the details that the author uses. Since I live in Florida, it is fun to note some of the landmarks as well as flora and fauna. Please take the time to read this lovely well written Xmas book.
I was suggested this book in an email offering and I thought it would be a light read during the holidays. It certainly was that, but not just fluff. The characters are well written, and the situations and dialog are not amateurish or stilted. The romance is sweet, but not "their eyes met across the room and whoever that was, she knew she'd marry him."
There were so many other characters, it was hard to keep track of who they were in relation to the MC's. Brie didn't want Heath knowing she was pregnant, but she sure told a lot of other people which resulted in him finding out anyway. Geesh, just grow a pair & tell the guy.
