Darya has escaped from the Prison of Thorns, but her mission is far from over. Not only is Red Armand still on the loose, he’s dragged Vasilios and Sven back to hellish Oreylia with him. Darya might have returned to the safe and loving arms of Peter and her family but she cannot rest until she saves the two men she once considered her enemies. Now they’re her friends, perhaps even more than that in the case of Vas, and she can’t just leave them to their awful fates.
But in order to travel to Oreylia, she must once again leave the people she loves behind. And this time the decision threatens to tear her and Peter apart for good. There’s no guarantee that she’ll be able to come back, and the uncertainty leaves a gaping chasm between Darya and the first boy she ever loved. The vision of her future burns strong in her mind, and the more it penetrates, the more she comes to realise that she might live up to the prophecy of her birth, but not in the way she or anyone else could’ve possibly imagined.

Blaze marks the exhilarating finale to L.H. Cosway's Blood Prophecy Series. This book takes readers on a thrilling journey as Darya, embarks on a mission to rescue her former enemies, Vasilios & Sven, from the hellish realm of Oreylia.
The novel begins with Darya's escape from the Prison of Thorns, providing a sense of relief & anticipation for what lies ahead. However, her return to her safe & loving family is short-lived as she is compelled to save Vasilios & Sven, whom she has grown to consider friends, or possibly something more in the case of Vas. This noble decision requires her to leave behind her loved ones once again, creating a heart-wrenching dilemma that threatens to tear her & her first love, Peter, apart for good.
One of the standout aspects of "Blaze" is the remarkable world-building. The introduction of Oreylia, a captivating & treacherous realm, adds excitement & depth to the narrative.
Darya's character development throughout the series is commendable, from a teenage girl to an undercover operative to a courageous crusader. Her emotional journey, coupled with the burden of first love heartache & the weight of fulfilling her destiny, adds layers of complexity & relatability to her character.
The chemistry & tension between Darya & Vas are captivating. Even after betraying him, it becomes evident that Vas cannot deny his love for Darya. Their time spent together in the Blaze further deepens their connection, & Cosway masterfully crafts their slow burn relationship to be deliciously sexy & emotionally charged.
Blaze is a satisfying conclusion to the series. L.H. Cosway excels in world-building, character development, & crafting captivating relationships. This book is a testament to the author's talent for blending adventure, romance, & personal growth.
★ I received an ARC of this title from the author. The excerpts are from that copy. I am voluntarily reviewing this title. ★See all my book edits on Instagram
This was filled with angst, drama, danger and turmoil. Watching Darya set out to help Vas and Sven made me anxious but it was nothing compared to the additional steps this group took afterwards. I was a bundle of nerves and couldn’t look away as the layers unfolded.
There is a bit of a love triangle going on that I’m not a fan of, but it’s handled early enough in the book to help me focus my mind on who the hero was ultimately going to be. I loved how that relationship solidified itself and was content by the book’s end.
Vas and Darya stole my breath. Were I able to keep my eyes open in last few evenings I would have finished this book in one sitting. It was a great wrapper of the series. I admit I was a bit worried how the break-up and getting together with another guy would go, but it was okay. I think the relationship drama would have been better with one extra book—so the transition from one guy to another would feel much smoother—, but the fantasy part of the story was amazing and held me captive from beginning to the end. I hope there will be some more stories from this world—about Flo or someone new. I honestly don’t care, because I fell in love with main and minor characters, I just want more to read about them. Simple as that.
I received a free copy of this book and gave it an honest review.
LOOK ! COVER REVEAL. hurry up ! I need this. **Check out books 1 & 2.....such a page turner. You'll get hooked. I'm way over the age demographic & I love it *** What a fantastic conclusion. Darya is unstoppable !
Blaze is the third and final book in the Blood Prophecy series and it picks up where book two leaves off. Darya has escaped from the Prison of Thorns but Vasilios and Sven were taken back to Oreylia with Red Armand. She is glad to be back in the arms of Peter but things have changed since her time in prison. Everything she thought she knew about Vas was wrong and now she can’t accept that he and Sven are gone. She will stop at nothing to save them, even if it means leaving home again.
In the Prison of Thorns, Darya learns that not all is as it seems and she and Vas grow closer, strengthening their connection. When she returns to Peter, she should be happy but she can’t accept that Vas is suffering again in the fiery depths of the mines on Oreylia. Obviously, her parents aren’t on board with her traveling to Oreylia, so Darya must figure out how to go without them knowing.
This story is a fantastic conclusion to the Blood Prophecy series. It gives us more magic and mayhem as Darya fully comes into her own and finally begins fulfilling the prophecy she never understood. She sees things she’s never seen and is tested in ways like never before. There is turmoil both outside in the world and inside in her mind as she realizes what she has to do to and faces the feelings she’s tried so hard to push away.
The storyline is fast paced and exciting, and the conclusion is more than I had hoped. I am not a fan of love triangles and this one was well done and turned out the way I wanted. I loved that Darya shows what she is capable and never gives up. I enjoyed getting to see where Vas came from and I loved that we get more of his powers as well. I loved the secondary characters we met in the first two books and liked getting to know more characters in this book.
Overall, Blaze gave me what I wanted when it came to finishing the series. I loved Darya and her strength and I loved everything about Vas’s character. I was so happy to see the future unfold the way it does, and finished the last page with a smile on my face.
I was eager to read Blaze, to find out if and how Darya goes into the demon dimension of Oreylia to rescue Vasilios and Sven. It’s been well worth the wait! I enjoyed spying on Darya’s very morally conflicted thoughts in this entirely first person narrative (except for a short and adorable epistolary section.) If you want Darya to be brave and principled and Vas to be powerful and sexy, don’t hold back. Jump right in! Blaze (Blood Prophecy Book 3) is a must-read for fans of Foretold and Thorns, but you’ll miss too much if you approach it as a standalone. In fact, I would suggest that having read the preceding Blood Magic series allowed me to quickly accept Mom and Dad’s (Tegan and Ethan’s) rather cavalier reactions to Darya going undercover in a prison and sneaking into another dimension to perform death-defying rescues! I really enjoyed this!
I've just finished reading this book and I'm already longing to read it again and step back into the world that L.H. Cosway has so beautifully crafted.
This was the most perfect ending that anyone could ask for, my heart is so full, the whole book was a rollercoaster of emotions and I could not put it down but that ending *chefs kiss*, every question has been answered and all lose ends are tied up but I still never wanted that final chapter to end.
There are so many great characters in this book (and the series as a whole), the world's are so captivating and that slow burn romance burns as hot as 'The Blaze'. I could not get enough of Vas, every scene with him gave me the warm and fuzzies, the character development in the series (this book in particular) is just perfect, all of the characters have their own captivating story. I'm trying not to include any spoilers in this review so I shouldn't say anything more.
I loved this series and 'The Blood Magic Series' but this book may just be my favourite overall. After the cliffhanger in 'Thorns' I've been counting down the days to find out what happens next and I was not disappointed, 5 stars.
*I was lucky enough to be an early reader for L.H. Cosway and received an ARC for an honest review.
Blaze is the final (?) breathtaking novel in L.H. Cosway’s Blood Prophecy trilogy. It picks up immediately after Thorns ends as Darya is back home but feeling very conflicted. Her former enemies turned friends Vas and Sven are trapped in Oreylia and she is determined to save them. She transports with Ren to the heart of Oreylia, Blaze which is a mining work camp. Along the way we are introduced to new characters who Darya now needs to save as well. I loved how intuitive and brave she was while facing insurmountable odds. She is fantastic addition to the world of L.H. Cosway’s heroines! The majority of the story takes place in Blaze as Darya tries to survive and help those around her. Her commitment to Vas to prove her true intentions is endearing and we see their incredible bond grow stronger. As a reader, I should have felt at odds with her feelings about Vas because Darya also had a strong connection with Peter in the first two books. However, L.H. always knows her heroines’ hearts best and what will bring them true happiness. Vas is a wonderfully complicated character that you just adore, and he is perfect for Darya. The remainder of the story is just as thrilling as the first half. There are twists and turns that are unexpected but wonderful. This book is a heart pounding read that you will devour. We’re also treated to a glimpse into Darya’s future as well as her family and friends in St. Bastian. I was hoping for an epilogue but without one, my fingers are crossed that L.H. has more Blood Prophecy books up her sleeve! LH. Has already confirmed that she has plans for Peter who is still a beloved character for readers in this series. Blaze was my favorite book in the trilogy and a fitting conclusion (maybe?) to these magical characters. Thank you L.H. for allowing me to read and review this exceptional book.
Blaze's story begins where the previous book ends. Darya has escaped from prison, she is reunited with her family, but her former enemies Sven and Vas have been kidnapped and sent back to Oreylia. During her stay in prison, she got to know them, they became her allies and her friends. Even more for Vas. A very strong bond binds them. We therefore follow our heroine in her new quest, she will fight to free them and discover the harsh reality of the mines of Oreylia, the harsh life of slaves. Darya is brave and fights for justice. She doesn't see life in black and white, she understands shades of grey, like Vas and Sven. They have committed crimes but she takes into account all that they have endured and their recent acts since they protected her in prison. Her desire for justice will grow in the dark mines of Oreylia. She is truly an extraordinary character, whom we can only admire. She is ready to sacrifice herself, to sacrifice everything for others. Vas is the perfect anti-hero turned hero. Darya is a good influence on him, but deep down there has always been good in him. The love triangle did not totally convince me, Darya repeated that she misses Peter and that she is heartbroken, I did not feel her distress and I find that she moved on too quickly. That Vas is the love of her life, I understand that, but there her relationship with Peter no longer had any meaning, so neither did her words. But at least the author doesn't play with infidelity, which is a good thing. The world of Oreylia is well described, as is everything related to the paranormal. The tension and attraction between Vas and Darya builds gradually, in a natural way. The slow burn is well mastered. This novel contains a good dose of adventure, anger, revolution, mutual aid, love. LH Cosway shows that she knows how to diversify genres, invent new worlds, take us on fantastic adventures. She proves her incredible talent and imagination, as well as her love for her characters. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The amazing and twisting tale of Darya and Vas continues in Blaze. Not to give too many spoilers, but let’s just say Darya’s vision from Thorns (Book 2) come true. I did not want this story to end (I so hoped there would be another book after this one)
Blaze did not start where I thought it would. I imagined Darya would set off to rescue Vas and Sven as soon as this one began, but Cosway decided to make her readers stew in the horror of what happened and wait a few chapters. There was not a moment of rest to be had - I was on the edge, biting my nails, (not) patiently waiting for what would unfold next.
I will always like Peter, but Vas stole the show in this one. There was no doubt in my mind Vas was the one for Darya - they complement each other in every way.
I really wish we had more of Sven. Another spinoff? Or maybe just a novella of him and Carra? That would be amazing!
We meet so many wonderful characters in Blaze, and I didn’t want to say goodbye to them. Even the smallest side character like Ren, Maya, and her little sister were great additions.
Cosway has a way of writing characters that will live on in our hearts and souls long after the story ends. This was the happy ending the characters and readers deserved. I cannot wait to see what Cosway will come up with next!!!

"I suspect your feelings might mirror mine more equally than you'd care to admit."
The story picks up where the last book ended and Darya is determined to travel to Oreylia to rescue Vas and Sven. Nothing could have prepared her for the reality of that brutal world, but I loved her determination and resilience in the face of forced slavery, stark living conditions, and Vas' hostility. My heart also broke for her confusion and her relationship with Peter - her first sweet love. However, what she had with Vas was more mature and scorchingly sexy! Their connection was magnetic, with or without his demon mark upon her, and I loved how everything came together as Darya overcame obstacles and lived up to her destiny. Such an amazing, magical read, and I hope we'll get more stories from this world.
This was a great, at times frustrating, finale for the Blood Prophecy trilogy. Watching as Darya has taken all that she’s been through and truly embraced all that she is capable of, without her very powerful parents stepping in, was a lot of fun ~ even when her life was in danger. As for the whole love triangle, it’s not my favorite trope, but I did like how everything played out between Darya, Peter and Vas. And as much as I did like Peter, I was Team Vas all throughout Thorns, so to say I’m happy with how things worked out, is an understatement.
A lot happens in this baby, and there are some brutal things that go on, but I enjoyed how everything turned out in the end. But, as always, I loved catching up with crazy cast of characters in this series, Rebecca, Grace, Ren, Sven are my favs, and then there are the newbies Carra, the Gargoyles…so, while this is the finale of the trilogy, I do hope that we’ll visit Tribane and the “safer” areas again.

The conclusion to this marvelous trilogy was satisfying! Starting off where the last book ended, Darya has escaped the Prison but Vas and Sven have been recaptured back to Oreylia.
Her family and friends are happy that she is back and that they can resume normalcy. However Darya has other plans. She is anxious to save Vas and Sven.
Will she fulfill her prophecy? Find true love? Right the wrong and bring peace?
All this is answered in Blaze! The pace of the story was just right. Not too slow not too fast. I love the tension between Vas and Darya. How thoughtful and protective he is towards her although he is still quite anger towards her.
The ending was so sweet and SPICY! Apparently we get a POV of VAS on May 31! Soon soon!

Flipping heck! What an ending. I was desperate for Darya and Vasilos to find their happy ever after, but I wasn’t prepared for the hoops they would have to jump through to get it. Following on directly from book 2 ‘Thorns’ we have Darya sneaking off on a rescue mission to Oreylia. A fantastical novel filled with demons, witches, vampires, elves, half-breeds and demon gargoyles, to name but a few. Love, passion, friendship and a slow burn romance. Good versus evil. This has it all. I was addicted from the first chapter, and just like Darya I couldn’t have predicted the challenges that she would be up against while trying to help her friends. This is most definitely not a standalone, but if you’re a lover of paranormal fantasy with a little romance in the mix then you’re in for a treat with this trilogy. I can’t recommend it enough. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
** Blaze is book three in the Blood Prophecy trilogy, and should be read after Foretold and Thorns. This review may contain spoilers if you are not yet caught up in the series. **
Darya Cristescu may have left the trauma of the Prison of Thorns behind her, but returning to life in Tribane is anything but a seamless transition. Returning to St. Bastian, and to her boyfriend Peter was all she wanted... but her memories of Vasilios are what keep her awake at night...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blaze was the fascinating conclusion to the Blood Prophecy trilogy. Darya is torn between two worlds, her cushy life in Tribane, or the hell that awaits her in the land of Oreylia....
This book took Darya's life as she knows it in a whole new direction, and much closer to her destiny than she has ever been before. After her return home, Darya is focused on rescuing Vasilios, the demon who has come to mean so much to her, despite her very current relationship with Peter.
Battles, bloodshed, prophecies, and sexy moments as well, this book was a fantastic ending to the dramatic and engaging, Blood Prophecy trilogy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Blaze is the third and final book in the Blood Prophecy series and picks up right where Thorns left off. Darya is no longer undercover in the Prison of Thorns, but Vas and Sven have been taken by Red Armand back to Oreylia and the hell that is the mines there. Darya feels responsible and is now on a mission to rescue Thorn and Sven. I loved this final book in the series. We get to see where Vas and Sven came from and the hell that they have been living in and we finally see how things resolve for Darya between her and Peter and her and Vas. Darya and many of the others really grow and develop over the course of this story. Loved reading as Darya comes into her own and how things resolve. Blaze is entertaining and keeps you on edge to see what will happen. Loved this and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing some of these characters again!
The finale of the series did not disappoint. I read it twice, loved it even more the second time. It was everything that the previous two books lead up to and more. The relationships deepened and changed, one was shocking for this reader. They overcome so many obstacles. Oh I was on the edge of my seat, what a ride ! Darya and Vas once enemies, then allies struggle to define their relationship now that many truths were revealed. This sometimes painfully slow relationship was so well written I was emotionally tied to the outcome. Ms. Cosway is a relationship wizard ! OH MY the dangers ! Prison, hellish realm, parents, friends, family, mines, and more. It’s heart thumping read in more than one way. Do not miss reading books 1 & 2 before starting this, you need to know these characters to understand them. I was gifted this book for an honest review
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this final installment for so long I didn’t think I could wait! I’m so glad I did! The moment I clicked off work and got home I grabbed a quick dinner and cozied up in my reclining chair and started to read. I was enthralled, I’d been waiting so long for Darya to save Vas and watch her future play out. I read page after page, refusing to get up until it was finished. I loved it!!! I’m so happy with this series and am forever a loyal L.H. Cosway fan since the original Tegan’s blood series years ago in its early days. I love how the characters have evolved and flourished and can’t wait to see what other new worlds we will see in the future!
L.H. Cosway brings her Blood Prophecy series to an end with Blaze.
After the first two books I couldn't wait to read more of Darya's story, and it did not disappoint. It is an excellent paranormal/fantasy romance with action, drama, romance, and magical elements. I don't want to reveal the plot as you should read this series in order, but the storytelling and writing are fantastic.
I had a hard time putting the book down as I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I definitely recommend this book and series as well as the Blood Magic series!
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
A monumental final to the series. Darya ventures to another realm to rescue Vas and Sven, but her trip takes a lasting and historical turn. I would highly recommend reading the previous two books to really understand the main characters and their past. She has really grown into her true calling and become more mature since the series beginning. Cosway is quite talented when describing the details, I felt like I was experiencing Oreylia with them. If you enjoy fantasy, with vampires and demons, this is a great series. It has everything including suspense, romance and plenty of adventure. I was lucky to read an early copy, this is my honest review.
Another standout cover to go with the third and final piece in the Blood Prophecy series. They really make a stunning set to look at. This series is aimed at the young adult market and tells the story of Darya who is a half witch, half vampire. The first book followed her at a school for magical species, and the second book saw her going undercover into a notorious prison. Now she must fulfil the prophecy from her birth, that she will become a great leader. But that involves travelling to a hellish place in another dimension, helping slaves escape and overthrowing the cruel establishment. If you haven't read the two previous stories, you should to fully understand and enjoy this one.
I received this ARC for an honest review. I was so excited to read this book! This is the third book of the Blood Prophecy series. L.H. Cosway gave us an emotional read with danger and turmoil. Darya is determined to rescue Vas & Sven from mines in Oreylia. Darya gets kidnapped in Oreylia and gets sent to the mine. What happens next? You must read this story. It was the perfect ending. I was held captive and couldn’t stop reading it. LH Cosway knows how to bring the story full circle. I loved every word!
I absolutely loved this final installment of the Oreylia Series - it was full of action and some seriously hot chemistry! Watching Darya reach her potential and go through so much had my emotions all up and down! The angst!! And LH Cosway told the tale so well, I could FEEL what they were feeling. The world building was rich and the overarching story was so well done. I certainly didn’t think that we would end up here when I read book 1! Fantastic series!!
Even though there was not enough sexy Ethan, I still liked the jump to his Daughters life. Lots of twists and turns and surprises. As usual, L H Cosway, has written a great series. I will still love the Heart series best as it was the first I read but all her other books are just as fantastic. The characters in this series become as realistic and a part of you for the time you spend in their worlds. Can’t wait for the next book…
So good I practically finished it in one sitting. It was exactly what I thought it would be, predictable yet still so captivating. Darya’s love for Vas is powerful, enough to make her travel to his dimension and try to save him. The journey she goes on and the war they create together to free the citizens of Vas’ terrible city is beautiful because their love just deepens. Dhampir and a warlock/demon, how beautiful lol
I loved this series so much. The was never a dull moment. You never knew what you were going to experience next, there were so many twists and turns. I loved all of the relationships, and all drama made you want to laugh, cry and scream sometimes. The spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and was Awesome! Don’t miss this series. Make sure you start with the first series about her parents, it gives you a lot of their history and it’s an amazingly series also.
Wow! This book was such a ride! I loved how Darya and Vas seemed to really connect and develop their love story. Darya’s character development really impressed me. She really came into her own and showed how much she has grown since the beginning of this series. The ending had me happy and a little tearful. I’m sad the series is over, but I really did love the ride.
Beautiful series!!! Yet I am sad it's over. I think Sven and Cara need a book and also more of Darya and Vas as well. Absolutely loved these books from the very first page until the very last. If you haven't read anything by L.H. Cosway, let this series and Blood Bound series be the ones you read first.
