Oh man Calliope Dean, you know she wrote these two books and they were the first of hers that I read about the rock climbing guy with the single mom and I really enjoy those two so much but then every subsequent Calliope Dean book I’ve read has been a super super disappointment Including this one I honestly do not take my one star lately, but this one is absolutely one star. I couldn’t even finish this book. It was a DNF. There was just nothing about the writing. The characters were unappealing. The connection between the two of them was just very forced and weird and nothing was doing it for me, but the idea the concept is so great but poor execution

This is a good cowboy meets "former cowgirl" story. They each need love, but are afraid to search for it. Throw in a teenager and a pre-tween, a estranged father, an ex and soon-to-be ex, plus a ranch, what could go wrong? I really loved the characters because they didn't have all the answers, just like real life. By the way, there are also some pretty steamy, sexy chapters.
