Again, an anthology. I should know better. And no, my problem is not with the stories itself. Nearly all of them are wonderfully written, and I'm interested in them. I love Omegaverse and I even know some authors. One story was even an ARC I read, and the two other stories were somewhat recycled, because I have read them in another anthology from last year.
But my issue is, that an anthology are often unfinished projects. Sure, it is meant as an introduction into the books of the authors. But I hate it, if there are unfinished stories – even ending on cliffhangers, only to realizing, that the full books aren't even written yet or are not released for months to come.
An issue that is all too real here again. A lot of unfinished stories/projects. But unfortunately, it is a done deal, and I can't help it now.
So, I give a review to each story.
Stolen Omega
An introduction to a new book (it isn't even out yet, so I have no date when to expect it). The story is about Aleska, who is a fashion designer. She pretends to be a beta. At the beginning of the story, she is at an important fashion event, but unfortunately she is in heat. One fateful meeting, she is set in the line of sign of pack Stone…
It's a fascinating set-up, but ends on a cliffhanger. So be aware.
Hidden Heat
This is one of the stories I already knew from the other anthology. Seems that the book is still not released. Same as with the story about the mentioned sister, Celeste, whose story is chronically before Lunella's story. So, there are some spoilers on top of not even being able to read the first story about Celeste.
So, the story takes place after the wedding/at the wedding reception of her sister and their pack. Lunella's is in heat, but doesn't want to ruin her sister's big day. She retreats to ride out her heat. Only to being discovered by one of Celeste's husbands new friends – and later the rest of his pack. Who decides that she is the mate they've been searching for.
I still like the premise of the story, but as I already mentioned above... There isn't any indication for when the books will be out.
Salacious Lies
Saywer is an internship reporter, who is determined to get into the alpha summer camp. A secretive event for alphas, deltas, and betas. She as a gamma (traits of an omega, like taking knots but without the scent and heats, and the ability to give children – the last on the totem pole). She secretly yearns for being part of a pack, but knows as a gamma she never will be. So, she is concentrating on her career. When she tries to get footage, she is witness to another kind of performance and enthralled by the sexual encounters… But when she tries to leave, she is discovered by an alpha and a delta. So, she gets her very own performance.
It definitely isn't my favorite story, but I liked it. Again, the book isn't out yet. But the first two installments of the series are out, so there is something to read. And the story about Sawyer isn't far away (7th march according to the Zon).
One Sided Love
This story is about Riley, who is friends with Damon and Kingston.
Damon and Kingston were once best friends, even before they met Riley. But when they were 16, they had an argument, which Riley doesn't know anything about.
Riley continued to be friends with both, but always meets them separately due to the fact, they can't stand to be in the same room.
The story begins with Riley on the way to a tutoring session, not knowing she is helping Kingston. She doesn't feel well. So, Damon is on the way to get to her.
Unbeknownst to her, she is in heat. She was always told she is an omega, but never presented fully, so she never had a heat. So, when they are all in the same room again, Riley's heat hits the peak… And get the ball running from there. With secrets revealed.
This is one of the stories, I really enjoyed, and I'm actually interested in reading further. Unfortunately, it isn't announced that there will be more to read about this story, though it is clearly not finished. So, I hope there will be more in the future.
Shrine Of Resurrection
Surma lives in the Temple for unbonded omegas. But she has a secret: She has death magic. Since she was a child, she has the ability to see the death. And Vanth, a soul collector. A kind of ghost, that shifts into a black raven. She has a crush on him.
Then there is Levai, a beta who sometimes visits the Temple, and who always comes with an accompanying scent of his alpha Rivan.
One night changes everything for Surma. Two other Temples fall, and released a surge of magic. With it came the nightwalkers. She saves the Temple by using her death magic, but is outcasted afterward. Now she shall be escorted to the Omega sanctuary, but Levai and Rivan stay at her side… can she find her happily ever after?
There will be no actual book, when I understand it right. The story will continue in another newsletter. But I really liked the story. And I know the other books, which are playing in this world.
Shattered Omega
This is a different take on a Cinderella story.
Nadia is an Omega. Once she lived a happy life, when her father was still alive. He married Wren, a beta, who brought in a daughter, Lynnie, who revealed as a beta too. They were always cross with her, but more so, when Nadia presented as an Omega, which both resented her for. After the death of Nadia's father, they showed their true colors. They abused her mentally and physically. Made her the family maid. No day, without the abuse.
Her only bright spot is her best friend Sasha, who is the granddaughter of the groundskeepers. When Wren auctioned a date with the most eligible pack in town, she wants her daughter Lynnie to attend to that and trick them with the omega scent of Nadia into a bond. But Sasha intervened, and convinced Nadia to go on the date.
That's how she meets pack Skarianthan, who are her scent match…
This story is one of the best ones in this anthology. But it ends on a kind of cliffy. At least, there will be a full book, but it isn't said when.
Knotless
This is the book I ARC read. It's a story about Renée. Who is a beta, and always stand in the shadow of her younger omega sister Chloé.
The story is an excerpt of the book, which is released. Be aware it's a duet, so the second part isn't out yet.
So, Renée isn't a beta, but an omega. And goes into heat. But in the middle of the woods. But pack Fontaine is on the rescue…
So, for this book I have a full review written, already. And of course, I wait for the second part. Which hopefully shouldn't be far away.
Knot Your Basic Valentine
The story is about Maya, who is an omega. But with her 25, nearly 26, years still unbonded. She applied for the Knot Your Basic Valentine event, where she meets three of four alphas of the Jamison pack. One encounter, and pack Jamison knows she is their perfect scent match. The story goes from there.
I was really invested in this story. Unfortunately, the book isn't even nearly finished. The release date is stated for next year, but the author announced she tries to get it out earlier. Maybe fall. Still a long way to go.
The Duchess and her thieves
Briella is a fae Duchess and kidnapped in the middle of the night. But on the way to her captor, the carriage is attacked by a group of thieves. A beta and two alphas. Devyn, Berry and Newt, who she knows already from her past. So, she is stolen again by the thieves. But during the journey, her body decides to make it more complicated by going into heat.
This is the only story, which is somewhat finished for me. Though, it's more like a HFN, than a true HEA. And it lefts me with questions and is not fully concluded. There is bonus content coming, but I don't know, if the questions will ever be solved.
Their Surrogate Omega
A typical story, about a poor rejected single parent omega, named Emmi. And by default, about her 16 years old son Rory, too. Though more on the sidelines. They don't live in the best part of town and Emmi works as a waitress, to make meets ends. Unfortunately, with a rejection mark on both, her and her son, their lives are difficult.
To change fate, Emmi applied at the Optimal Origins Clinic as a surrogate mother. Which brings her into the presence of three alphas, and changes her world and life.
I kind of liked the story. Because it was filled with a lot of emotions. Mostly Emmi's. And I like to see a HEA. This story is finished. But it leaves me still with questions. Overly, about the world around them. There are things mentioned. Like the rejection mark and all. And laws. But it isn't fleshed out. But still okay for a short story.
Overall, it was a good collection, but as I said, a lot of unfinished business.

The book I am reviewing in the charity anthology is called Their Surrogate Omega by TL Reeve and Michele Ryan. This is a shifter romance. Emmi is an Omega who was rejected by her mate. Her child was rejected also. Determined to make a better life for herself and her son, she volunteered to be a surrogate for 3 Alphas, named Chasing, Baldwin and Silas. What follows is is a huge failure to communicate. The men have a huge mountain to climb to convince Emmi that they are mates and they belong together. Get this book ASAP and find out if they succeed. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Steamy prelude to a series. Aleksa is a designer, and the night of a big show falls on the peak of her heat. She has meets an alpha, beta, and delta. This was an intriguing set up, and I will definitely be on the look out for book 1
Hidden Heart by MJ Marstens
Lunella’s heat hits while she is at her sisters wedding, luckily she happens onto a pack. I had a hard time connecting to these characters. I feel like there was a lot going on and not enough time/space to set it up,
Salacious Lies by Elle Lincoln
Sawyer is a gamma reporter trying make get a scoop by sneaking into an alpha camp. This is a prequel story. I really liked Sawyer, and I’m definitely intrigued to see how she meets back up with the guys. Will definitely be watching for book 1.
One Sided Love by KJ Keyes and TA Note
Riley has been friends with Damon and Kingston for years. Damon and Kingston were friends, but had a falling out, but both have remained committed to Riley. When her heat starts, will they be there for her? I lied the premise, but I’m not sure I liked Kingston or Damon much. They story ar time told more than showed.

Surma has been hiding her death magic for years, but when magic surges increase everyone’s powers and creatures are released, what will happen to Surma? I liked the guys and their unwavering support. This is a sweet story, and I will definitely be checking out the rest of the story, and the others in the same world.

Omegaverse with a Cinderella twist. Nadia has been basically a servant and hidden away since her father’s death. Nadia is sweet and I love her bff (I hope she gets her own story). The guys are hot, and I can’t wait to se how this story ends!

Renee has dreamed of being an omega, but has accepted that she is a beta. When she suddenly goes into heat Pack Fontaine is there for her. I really liked Renee and Pack Fontaine. I think this may be a prequel or a shortened version of the Knotless duet by Fox

Maya hasn’t found a pack, and decides to try speed dating before Valentines. She meets three members of the Jamison pack and sparks fly, but what will the 4th member think? This is a prequel and I can’t wait for book 1 to come out. This had me hooked from the beginning.

Briella wakes up to find she’s been kidnapped, and then she ends up kidnapped again, this time by 3 hot fae men. The story moves quickly but I still felt like I was able to get to know each character and they were each unique. I really enjoyed the story

Emmi was rejected by her mate when their son presented as an omega, and has been struggling to make ends meet. She decides to become a surrogate for alphas to try to improve their lives. I liked the story, but do feel like their was a lot of emotional baggage, and with the limited communication and time in the novella, it was hard to connect and feel they would really have a HEA. I feel like this would benefit from being a full length novel.

This short snippet, Shattered Omega by Bre Rose and Cassie Lein is a Cinderella feel with an evil step mother Wren and an absolute terror of a step sister Lynnie. But what an amazing twist of being saved by not one prince charming but 4 from the Skarlanthan Pack. Nadia our Omega is being abused by her step mother and step sister after the death of her father. To make matters worse she is an Omega while her step sister is a Beta. Wren is just not having it and try’s to fool the Skarlanthan Pack to think Lynnie is the Omega. The truth comes out and not only is Nadia offered an escape to come live with the 3 hot Alphas and a equally good looking Beta, but she is their sent match. This Omega & Reverse Harem short story will just make you want for more. So many questions and a cliff hanger that will absolutely make you want to get your hands on the rest of the story. This snippet of what is going to be an excellent book is an absolute worthwhile read while we, hopefully, wait for the rest of the book.

I am so sad it stopped where it did. I want to read more of this. I loved every single moment of this anthology piece and hope to read more of it. I will say I didn’t see that end coming for sure, what a twist. I absolutely loved Maya! She was so sweet and adorable, and the pack she is with made me gush. This was such a cute short, sweet, and spicy read. I can’t wait for more!

She is not allowed to knave the house and her only friend lives with her relatives on the grounds. When her BFF discovers her step mom is trying to trick an alpha into believing her stepsister Kelly is an omega by wearing Natalie's clothes; she takes action. She sends Nadia on Kelly's date with the alphas. When they discover they are scent mates Nadia runs. Now that she's lost her chance to get help will she be stuck with her evil stepmother forever?
I totally loved this omegaverse Cinderella retelling. Instead of a Prince she finds a pack that's filled with super hot alphas. This sweet and spicy retelling is modernized and will have you hoping this sweet omega her her HEA…warning it does leave you hanging desperate for more. Review for SHATTERED OMEGA by BRE ROSE and CASSIE LEIN
I'm going to start off by saying this: Bre Rose and Cassie Lein are my new favourite co-writers! My goodness can they spin a tale! They write in one voice, so seemlessly, it's impossible to discern who has written what. And what a tale they have spun.... ingenious!
Right off the bat I could see this was a Cinderella retelling, you know, evil stepmother, evil stepsister, being locked up and hidden....yeah, well, this is where the similarity ends. Maybe not ends but veers off in a direction that left me astonished at the ingenuity of the authors. "Cinderella" is Nadia, her Prince is not one but 4 hunky shifters. Cool right? Well it most certainly is very cool, very smecksy and steamy and delicious! It keeps with the theme of the Cinderella vibes as we know it throughout never veering off the path but with so many twists, turns and novel ideas that I was devastated to have come to the end of this novella! I hope with all my heart that these very talented authors will grace us with a complete series! I've just had my starter with this novella and I, for one, will be waiting to savour the entire meal!

As I read this I kept thinking - this is a twist on Cinderella. Except there were no good creatures helping Nadia. Only a nasty stepmother and stepsister who need to be seriously dealt with.
Their characters and the world that they live in are extremely well developed for a short story. Fast paced, smooth reading and I couldn't put it down. Our authors created unexpected twists in their plot with lies, cruelty, secrets, and a dear friend for Nadia. Then Clay, Dexter, Owen and Ranger are added in and the steam ignites.
For a co-write, it was seamless. I love the work Bre and Cassie create in their own books but it's magic when they work together too.

This anthology is a quick read and has stories that are starts of great larger arcs. Take for example Shattered Omega by Bre Rose and Cassie Lein. It's a Cinderella retelling with the Wicked Stepmother desperate to marry off her daughter as an omega to a powerful Alpha. She uses her stepdaughter's scent to cover up her daughter's non-omega status.
I love that Nadia’s friend intercepted Lynnie and sends Nadia on the date instead. The Alphas and Beta fall for her and then she runs.
I loved how Clay, Ryder, Owen, and Dexter went after her. They take care of her and censor her stepmother.

I need burn cream for this ultra-spicy, fast-burn Omegaverse short by Elle Lincoln. It is a tasty teaser to the OV book, Sawyer, set to be released in less than a month, though it can be read alone as a highly satisfying short. It is a short story about a female gamma caught in the wrong place at the right time and has a night of bliss with an unknown alpha and delta. My curiosity is piqued to see what comes from this encounter for Sawyer once the smoke clears. Luckily, I don’t have long to wait.

Bre Rose and Cassie Lein’s most recent novella, Shattered Omega is a Cinderella retelling. In this story there is the wicked stepmother and only one stepsister. But there are four big strong handsome alphas instead of only one prince. This book has plenty of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense, steamy situations that were so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. That ending though was like “say what?!?” Not going to spoil it, you’ll just have to read the book to find out for yourself. Can’t wait to see what’s next with these two outstanding authors. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

I’ve only read one story so far and I can’t wait to read the others! Knot Your Basic Valentine by Alisha Williams, it was SO good! The FMC Maya is an indie author and I loved that about her, and how she was when she walked into the speed dating.
If you haven’t read Alisha’s books before, be warned this is a prequel & the ending is a bit rough on the heart strings. Also, this takes place in the same world as We Are Worthy!

Can't wait to read more in this antho, but Salacious Lies by Elle Lincoln was amazing. I don't often see omegaverse books featuring gammas, especially as main characters, but I really enjoyed Sawyer's character in this one! I loved how go getting she was, trying to step outside of the box of what gammas were expected to be. This short glimpse into her story and how it all began really has me craving to read the rest of it! I look forward to the full book to see if she ever gets the pack life that gammas usually do not get.

This review is for Not Your Basic Valentine but Alisha Williams. This short story pulls you in from the beginning and I finished it wanting more. Maya has her wants but doesn't want to give up who she is and what she enjoys. The guys, or most of them are so excited they've found Maya, they want all in except for the surprise home coming from Nix, that ends in tears. Can't wait to read more. Loved it!

This is a review of Shattered Omega by Bre Rose and Cassie Lein. This is a short retelling based on Ciderella with some minor changes like only one step sister, but basically, she awakens as an Omega, and the stepmother hides her away. There are Hot Alpha's in this book who are possessive, just what you are looking for in this read. This book leaves you wanting more and to read the full story, I can't wait till it is released in full. It's such a great story.

Well what is this amazing boxset? So much fun to read that is what! So many stories, some I really hope we'll see more of. Have read Bre Rose her story which she cowrote and I'm loving it. Fairytale vibes here and that around Valentine. What's not to love about that? The evil stepmother and sisters trying to ruin her chance on happiness. But life seems to be turning around and leading her to happiness as the Skarlanthan pack shows interest. Can Nadia be rescued? I certainly am rooting for her.

Read shattered omega in this Anthology by Bre Rose and Cassie lein… I freaking loved this story it gave me Cinderella vibes with the terrible step-mommy and nasty step sister. I loved the introduction to the men in this and want so much more of them. Her heat is HOT 🥵 these men have me panting for more, these scenes will live rent free in my head for a while . This is an OV anthology with some good shorts. I do wish having a blurb was consistent through all of the shorts and maybe a little warning if the shirt is just a teaser situation with the full book to come at a later date. One of the shorts is a repeat so if you are like me and read all the OV anthologies you will have read it before. Definitely worth it especially since it is KU.
