One Night Forsaken is book two in Persephone Autumn’s Lake Lavender series. This time we have the sweet slow burn romance between Alessandra (Lessa) Everett and Braydon Harris. A story about a small town girl who has a one night stand with a city guy and what happens when “No romance. Just fun.” meets “Serious equals heartache.” Enjoy this sweet read which has some suspense and spice as they battle their craving for each other.
Alessandra is best friends with Magdalena who we met in #1 Depths Awakened. Her life is so busy running her unique and quirky Java and Teas Me coffee shop, that she doesn't have the time for relationships. At the Centennial celebrations in town Lessa meets an irresistibly cute guy. She is captivated by him and feels a magnetic pull so they have an intense and passionate night together. No names are exchanged because she is certain she will never see him again, however, she can’t believe it when her mystery man returns to town six months later.
Braydon is a journalist for a travel magazine in Seattle. He is a sweet, nerdy, boy next door type with a charming smile. His last relationship ended in heartbreak and he refuses to go through that again. It’s left him with trust issues and he has sworn off any serious commitment. He can’t get the firecracker he met in Lake Lavender out of his mind. When he returns to write another article on the town, he can’t believe it when he runs into her on his first day back.
Turns out neither have forgotten one of their best nights of their lives. They attempt to avoid one another but fate has other plans and keeps pulling them together. They have a strong connection but neither expected to feel the way they do. It doesn't help that being together is easy and comfortable. They are both terrified of what will happen if they give in to their feelings. Lessa can’t let a relationship get in the way of her business and Braydon needs to let the past go. This is the first time they have both wanted more than a one night stand but are worried that they will end up just hurting each other. Can they find a way to work round everything and find their HEA.
The scene at Rescuers Gone Wild is hilarious and I loved the great advice Braydon’s dad gives him. I am really starting to fall in love with Lake Lavender and we got to hear more about it as Braydon explores for his article. We meet more residents and catch up with Mags and Geoff. We also get a hint of something between Lena and Lessa’s younger brother Anderson, ready for the next book Every Thought Taken.

One Night Forsaken is book two in Persephone’s Lake Lavender series and this is Alessandra (Lessa) and Braydon’s story.
A chance encounter, one night of delicious passion with no names mentioned, Lessa thought she would never see the gorgeous ‘tourist’ that was visiting Lake Lavender ever again. Months later and Lessa’s world is going to be tipped very unexpectedly when he returns.
Lessa does feature as a secondary character in book one, Depths Awakened. Being best friends with Mags, we do get kind of a character background to Lessa, so I would suggest to read that book first if you haven’t already.
Lessa is a business woman, working away at her very thriving coffee shop in Lake Lavender. She doesn’t have time for relationships, so the occasional one night hook-up is what she is after and not ashamed to admit that. She’s feisty, strong willed, totally independent and has high walls built around her.

Braydon, a journalist with his father’s travel magazine, he to has no time for relationships either. Still recovering from a relationship that broke his heart, he is adamant that it won’t be broken again. However, he can’t forget that one night with the beautiful blonde with the captivating smile, in Lake Lavender.
This was such a sweet, endearing read with medium spice and some suspense. At times I really felt for Braydon. He seriously didn’t want to get hurt again bless him. He’s definitely a cinnamon roll kind of alpha…caring, supportive and growly possessive at the same time.
Again this story was beautifully written by Persephone, quite poetic in places. The descriptions of Lake Lavender just makes me want to be transported there big time! It sounds utterly charming.
Looking forward to Lena’s story.

This was a fabulous read by Persephone Autumn. Her books will never disappoint and this story would have to be one of my favourites. Braydon and Lessa meet one night when Braydon visits Lessa’s town to write a story on travel. They spend one night together that neither can forget and go their own ways only six months later Braydon returns to write another story and although neither is prepared for a relationship, against all their own feelings they reunite again and it all builds from there. There are some emotional moments and some beautiful moments that give this book all the feels. The characters are warm and inviting and truly capture your heart on their journey. A great story by Ms Autumn that will have you hooked from the very first page. Cannot wait to go back to Lake Lavender and spend time with all these characters again.

Loved this second book in this series! I really enjoyed this small town romance with a slow burn. This sweet romance starts off as a one night stand and over time, builds to more. I am a sucker for angst and I got what I craved in this book. Alessandra and Braydon’s story is a must read!

First, let me start by saying the first few minutes of this read had me addicted. Alessandra and Braydon have an immediate connection but they only want something quick and easy. You can't help but fall in love with them and watch their growth. The spark is undeniable and sexy. I love the suspense the author added to the story. It was a great read all around.

Having read Ms.Autumn's work many times before i always look so forward to picking up more of her books! From the moment i stumbled a post for this book on social media, i knew i absolutely had to read it! I picked it up and got right into the Lake Lavender world! I really enjoyed this story so very much!
Alessandra and Braydon's journey pulled me in right from the get go! Alessandra owns Java and Teas Me and Braydon is a writer for his for his family's travel magazine. These two met at a festival and shared a night together that won't leave their minds. Little did they know their paths would cross again. The thing is though, neither one does relationships. Will they learn to open their hearts to more?
I really liked how quickly Alessandra and Braydon's story captured my attention, the way they were brought into each other's lives, and how they were reunited. I really admired Alessandra's dedication to her shop and Braydon when it came to his writing. I found myself relating to both of them so much throughout, especially when it came to matters of the heart. The chemistry between Alessandra and Braydon was fantastic. I loved how these two and their story had me feeling so many things from start to finish!
From the setting of Lake Lavender to the characters and every bit in-between, I love whenever i can picture a story so vividly in my mind like i did with this one.
With One Night Forsaken, Ms.Autumn has created such a great read with all kinds of feels that'll make you not want to turn away from your kindle! I can always count on this author's words to get into my heart and make me feel every bit. I can't wait to dive back into the Lake Lavender world with the third installment, Every Thought Taken! 💙

Alessandra loves her life running her successful coffee shop, and has no time nor inclination for any sort of relationship with the opposite sex, but the best laid plans amirite?! Braydon comes to her small town to write a story, and from the moment these two meet, the sparks are flying. They decide on one night of just fun, and man they definitely generated heat but then he left. Neither can get the other out of their minds, and that night pretty much ruined them for others. Luckily, fate steps in, and Braydon comes back to her neck of the woods, and this time they can't stay away from each other, so maybe just maybe this round, they'll start to build something special. I loved this story so much, and was totally drawn in from the jump. The way this author wrote the story had me turning the pages quickly as I needed to know the backstory of our couple, and provided a lot of emotion in the pages. Anyway, I'm going to stop right here because it's so much better to just experience the goodness for yourselves by hitting those one click buttons, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Perspephone goes on to paint a wonderful slow-burn romance set in the beautifully drawn small town of Lake Lavender. Persephone is at her absolute best as she deconstructs brick by brick the barriers and the history of hurt both of the characters carry. No matter the challenges thrown their way; their chemistry and undeniable attraction to one another draws them together.
This five star read may very well be my favorite read by Persephone - that is until the next book in the series releases :) Highly recommended - grab this sweet romance today.

This is the second book in this series, and this is Alessandra / Lessa and Baydon’s journey. Lessa is a workaholic who owns her small towns coffee shop, and she has no time for love. Baydon is a magazine journalist who is sworn off love after past heartbreak. When Baydon arrives in town they have a steamy and unforgettable night together, which leads to more. This is a well written story which is a slow burn, with emotions, undeniable chemistry, romance, friendships, and love, which leads to a sweet and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Alessandra loves her small town and the people in it. Owner of Java and Teas Me, she gets to do what she loves everyday. Braydon is a journalist doing a story on the amazing town of Lake Lavender. When these two meet they share an instant connection and an amazing night together. When Braydon come back to write a second story a few months later, he tries to stay away…but we all know how that goes. These two are drawn to each other and can’t stop the insane chemistry between them. This is a well layered story with a lot going on. Between the small town drama, Braydon and Alessandra evaluating their feelings we had some great story lines. The characters are well written and had great depth. This was a cute story and I really enjoyed it. I love how versatile this author is and can’t wait to see what she does next!
