About the author

Douglas Pratt was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been writing since the third grade. During high school, Douglas dabbled in short stories and poems.

Douglas graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Journalism. He lives in Mason, Tennessee, and spends his spare time on his sailboat.

a non-stop thrill ride! from the electric opening pages, Douglas Pratt’s latest thriller will suck you in and refuse to let you go. I was so absorbed by this story, feeling every emotion as I tried to figure out what was going to happen next. at several points, I was holding my breath, so sure I knew what was going to happen, but Pratt threw curveball after curveball and kept me guessing right up to the last page! intoxicating, action-packed, and totally breathtaking, I couldn’t get enough of this sensational adventure!

I requested an ARC of this book the author offered as it was set in my favorite city Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Pratt captured the feel of PV and its people in hs descriptive passages.
The action scenes were fast paced and violent as fits the antagonists the hero was up against
This is the first in what is to become a series so setting up the protagonist’s back story was necessary but did not detract from the telling.
I was confused at the beginning as the main character goes by 3 names but it makes sense a chapter or so in.
When i finished the book a teaser chapter for the next in the series got me wanting to read more about Corsair/Caleb/aka ? and what adventures await him.

Non-stop action from the very beginning. We don't know it's Corsair, but it becomes obvious as the author reveals that he is always in 'trigger mode'. Always observant, always watching, always calculating the next move, the subject's next action.

Turns out he also has a tender spot when he sees injustice. That could mean the end of his life and the pleasant environment, but maybe it means moving on yet again.

How will he pull this off will always be on your mind during this read. The author will give you amazing detail as he pulls you into this world of the black ops.

Another action packed thriller from Douglas Pratt. Caleb, a man in hiding from his old enemies, trying to have a new life with his daughter in the City of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is an interesting read and has me looking at the city I live in part of the year in a different light. I thoroughly enjoyed this story with so many characters trying to find Caleb.

This book has a great plot, intriguing characters, and lots of action. Keeping a low profile to stay hidden from those actively searching for you is even harder these days with facial recognition and the prevalence of security cameras. All it takes is an action that brings you to someone’s notice or a photo with you in the background. Well written.

I have read a few of Douglas Pratt's books and have really enjoyed every one of them.
This book is no exception from the start to the end this book keeps you engaged in the story and the characters.
Corsairs back story is an intriguing one and is integral to the story.
I really look forward to reading more of Corsairs adventures.

Lots of Non stop Action

A couple of plot twists but the assassin is fully awake and going after everyone. Little hard to follow how he gets involved but once engaged - this is a rampage against a cartel without much military training. Borders on Caleb being a little too much of a Superman but I enjoyed the pace of the story.

I’ve enjoyed this author’s books for a long time and this new character added a lot of interest. The story was set in one of my favorite places PV, very well done. His wounds were almost over the top but if a trained killer could handle dozens of bad guys you’d expect him to be severely wounded. I highly recommend this book.

This is a thrilling, action packed, fast paced story. There is danger that seems almost insurmountable. But the protagonist prevailed through a number of violent encounters that would have made John Wick proud.

Highly recommended for action fans.

Knockout punch
