This book is fantastic for anyone interested in a flower farming model that is proven to be profitable and sustainable. I’m starting my own journey into discovering what perennial (likely peonies) will work for me, as someone interested in farming flowers part time. I can’t recommend this book enough! Karen has so much practical and straightforward knowledge packed in this book. It’s the perfect beginner’s guide, with enough info for you to successfully start out. I went to her open farm tour day this year to see her peony field and everything she explains in the book is modeled there to see. I’m so encouraged and grateful to Karen for sharing her experiences for all!
As a peony farmer myself, I find it very informative and valuable to read another peony farmer's perspective. I found at many times, my own realizations and story were reflected in this book. I would say, the main theme of this book is specialization in flower culture. I would agree with this author 1000%, and she outlines her roadmap beautifully, thoroughly and transparently. In this industry, where our main competitor is imported flowers, I think it is important that we share our information, tips and tricks and encourage other growers, instead of viewing our neighbours as competition. Karen embodies this philosophy with a very helpful read. Anyone who is thinking of specializing, in any type of flower - Lilies, tulips, lavender, dahlias would find this helpful, and can transfer some wisdom found in this book to any specialization. A well done book
very good book for gardeners new to peonies or transitioning yo selling flowers
This book articulates well the different types of peonies and all aspects of growing them. The author uses her experience in growing these flowers and selling both mixed bouquets at market and specialty flowers to florists to give the reader valuable information on transitioning to farming flowers for profit. Sound advice given in an engaging manner, definitely worth the read!

A huge thank you to the author for this well thought out book. I’ve been contemplating flower farming, and this book answered questions I did not even realize I had. I’m so thankful it was on Kindle Unlimited. I learned much and will probably end up buying a copy for future reference as I begin my own flower farming adventure.
