Oh these authors are showing out with this Winter Crest series!!! Lisa put her foot on our necks with this one here!! This was soooooo mf good! Y’all need to read this for sure!!! Pure was down bad! She literally has no family after her sister did her dirty! After getting a call from a lawyer one day she thinks her life is finally looking up but she had no idea how that drive to Winter Crest was going to turn her life upside down! She met a mf boss when she met Luxe!! He was THAT nxgga!!! Whew! Pressure!! He definitely turned her life upside down in the best way possible! We got a two for one special in this book because Pure’s bff Sleigh was around here taking nxggas for everything they had until Flake came into her life! They had a solid friendship and I loved them so much! Flake was Luxe’s cousin so he came with just as much pressure! The laughs, the drama, the plot twists were everything!!! This was a Christmas story done right!!! Loved loved loved it!!! This was my first read from Lisa and it will NOT be my last!

Poor Pure. Luck just wasn’t on her side. Her sister ran off with her man and her half of their inheritance. She was fired, blackballed, and down to her last $700. While trying to figure how she was going to pay next month’s bills, she receives a phone call from an attorney’s office regarding her backstabbin’ azz sister. Thinking she’s finally gotten a come up, Pure packs her bags and hits the road headed to Winter Crest. When she realizes her fantasy come up was just more bad news, Pure is heartbroken. She heads to the first bar she sees to drown her sorrows in hard liquor. While sitting in Club Luxe, Pure meets the man who’s going to turn her world upside down. Lawd, Luxe was that ninja. He was a rude, had very little manners, and didn’t care who he offended. But, he also had a soft side most people, outside of his family, weren’t privy to. Although their first meeting left a lot to be desired, Luxe is instantly enamored with Pure and he’s ready to break up with his first love (the streets) to give her everything her heart desires. Sleigh stole the whole damn book. She was out here trickin’ all her side dudes with no remorse and I was here for it. Honey, Sleigh was unapologetically about her money and her gifts! I absolutely loved the way she held Pure down. She would do anything for her best friend, no questions asked, and never expected anything in return. After Pole and Waldo did her dirty, making the move to Winter Crest turned out to be the blessing Pure didn’t know she needed. She finally got the life, the man, and the family she’s been longing for. Pure and Luxe’s story was adorable. It was the perfect hood romance. This book was full of humor, drama, and an unexpected plot twist I didn’t see coming. Don’t let the rating fool you. I really did enjoy this book. The only reason I didn’t give it 4 stars is because of the consistent incorrect word usage. This was my first read by Lisa Austin and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

PURE & LUXE ❤
This was a really good story with great character development. If it wasn't one thing it was another for Pure. She just couldn't seem to catch a break. I was glad she decide to stay in Winter Crest because it definitely changed her life and with a bestie like Sleigh there was no way she could say no. I liked Pure and Luxe together. She had that man so open he was craving her presence. But they helped each other out on the business end which allowed Pure to showcase her talents. I was happy that she was getting to a place where she didnt have to struggle financially and on top of that receive the cutest blessing from her sister. I was shocked at the connection Exmuz had to Pure. And thank god Flake finally showed & let Sleigh know that its always been her that he wanted cause I was over the whole we're just friends. Lol. Overall a good Christmas read

I really enjoyed this book! Poor pure hit rock bottom and ended up in Winter Crest and got back everything she’s lost plus more. I would love to get another book on pure/ Luxe relationship. I also loved Sleigh & Flake as a couple 🎄❄️

For this book to be about Pure, Sleigh stole her damn show! That woman was hilarious, and some of everything came out of her mouth! 😂 She was bout her money and getting her gifts honey! But Sleigh was a real one! She was down for her girl Pure and would do anything for her!
Miss Pure! Life handed her a cruel hand, but she was doing all she could to make it do what it do. Ohhhh, her sister was dirty! 🤬 Coming to Winter Crest was her blessing, because after meeting Luxe, nothing would ever be the same again! Who is this man? Luxe was intrigued when he first met Pure and had to get to know her. He was a boss, and was not playing with Pure, like at all! I really liked them together. Them plot twists chile….. what is really going on??? 👀 Another enjoyable read from Winter Crest! 👍👍👍

Good read
I really enjoyed this story. Pure went through so much, but she wasn't going to take any handouts. Sleigh was the true definition of a friend. I liked Flake and Sleigh's friendship, and when he made intentions known. I loved Luxe for Pure. I wouldn't mind reading more about them in the future.

Storyline wise...10 stars...
This story was definitely a 5 star read as far as the content and characters. I enjoyed every single minute of it. There was laughter, love l*st, and the best plot twists.
I would just add that there were several minor errors that did cause a distraction for me while reading, but it didn't take away from the overall storyline.
I very much enjoyed being a voyeur spying on the activities of Pure&Luxe as well as Flake&Sleigh.
I would love to read more about these characters.
I think this was my first read from this author and I look forward to enjoying more of her work.

Love at Christmas 🎄
It took me awhile to get into it, but once Luxe and Pure finally connected I was eager to see how their story was going to come together.
Pure had been down bad since her sister betrayed her and she lost her job. She was barely making it, but life brings her to Winter Crest where she lands an opportunity to live out her dream. Unbeknownst to her she meets her future as well, Luxe.
Luxe was that 🥷🏿 At 28 he had an empire between his legal and illegal activities. He swore he didn't want to be tied down nor did he want a family. All that big talking ish went out the window after he met Pure. These two were on some instalove type ish and I was here for all the smoke. The plot twist was some ish and I don't really know how I would've handled it, but I was happy for their family they were building.
This was also Flake and Sleigh's friends to lovers love story. He was a man of a few words, but he strategically laid claim on Sleigh before she even realized it. They were total opposites, and bickered like an old married couple. I was happy for them too.
I loved all the Christmas names: Snow 🌨️, Claus 🎅🏿, Flake ❄️, Sleigh 🛷, Rudolph 🦌.Despite it being hella cliche, I want all that in my Christmas stories. This plot may be unrealistic, but I feel like the author did a good job closing the loops, leaving no questions. Plus I like my Christmas stories a little extra.

Oh my goodness
This book was more than a Christmas read it was a movie. That damn Luxe and Pure was cute together and Sleigh honey was everything… I knew Flake wasn’t hanging around for nothing he was secretly plotting on getting his woman for Christmas and I’m not mad at that but honey the suspense and twist almost took me out i wasn’t ready but i thoroughly enjoyed and i can’t wait for more

This one was one of my favorite's from the Winter Crest book's. After being betrayed my her own sister. Pure was down on her luck and hiding the truth about her struggling from her best friend Sleigh. One phone call lead Pure to Winter Crest changing her life drastically. Finding out her sister Pole had another secret. Pure was in for another surprise. Sleigh is the a best friend any girl need. She has Pure back after learning the truth. I knew Flake was interested in Sleigh as more than just friend's. The moment Sleigh told him the list of thing's she wanted to do. He made it happened. Luxe was smitten with Pure but tried to fight his feelings. When he was able to tell her how he really feel. He was shocked to learn Pole left them both a gift.

This Christmas standalone is lit. I really need and updated on my babies. My girl Pure was catching hell at first and her Bestfriend been trying to get her to come and stay where she at. It took for her snake big sister dying to get her there that she thought she had left her money that she stole. So many blessings happened to her in winter crest. She came a mother to her sister baby and hooked up with the Babydaddy not knowing and they came as one. She got her closer with her sister and healed and she left her with more than she had taken. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

My goodness this book was a roller coaster and had my head whipping back and forth like a darn tennis match!
Pure was hit with one thing to a next and I was rolling when she didn’t open that folder, but lo and behold it was Xmas time in the folder, if she only knew! Glad she didn’t throw it away out of anger.
Meet Luxe who got smitten with Pure! Their time together was like wow but some forces were playing that could have let both of them missed out in something special!
The names in this book had me smiling and Sleigh and Flake were a nice addition! Flake is quiet but deadly dude in so many ways!
These books are just teasers because I keep wanting more!

Pole and Waldo did Pure so wrong. Bad enough she sexing him behind her back then they stole half of their grandpa in insurance money. Drugs can make you do stupid ish. Pure didn't tell Sleigh about her downfall because she was embarrassed and she knows Sleigh would try to help. Her own personal Santa came in a man named Luxe. They didn't hit it off because he thought she was somebody else. I'm surprised Flake wanted so long to make Sleigh his girl Luxe and Flake gives rich ninjas energy. Pole stole Pure's money and left her a baby in return. Vixen better keep on pushing because Luxe replaced her.

With the help of her best friend Sleigh, Pure finds work & meets Luxe. Not only is Luxe handsome and rich, but he also happens to be the father of her sister’s baby. This book was so good! Definitely has a great Christmas vibe. I highly recommend this book!

On me Lisa gotta fight me, cuz why i let her put me through this every single time. Why ? Why ? Why Lord ?! Why i be letting her do this to me. She knew she was dead wrong not putting TBC on the last page cuz this ain’t over it better the hell not be over. I want more i need more cuz this was sooo good and for it to be such a quick read it still checked all the boxes for me. Ughhhhh i already know we ain’t seeing these characters again till Valentine’s Day so imma relax for now lol

The names of each character was awesomely crafted for this Xmas themed release.
It’s always the emergence of a toxic guy in Lisa’s books to cause me to laugh uncontrollably. It surprisingly hits you after you’re in the groove of the story. I love it though as it involves some type of psychotic behavior that seems beyond normal to the character.
I won’t give any more anyway, but it’s a great and quick entertaining read!
Hopefully we see more of them in the future.

Pure Peppermint what a name. She left Memphis where she lived with her sister Pole, until the sister stole her boyfriend and insurance policy left to them by their grandfather. Broken she drove to Winter Crest to see a lawyer to read her sister's will. Mad,sad and pissed she walked into a bar called Luxe, encountered the owner who thought she was her sister. She cussed him out for touching her but at the end she introduced him to his daughter who was her niece and he was the father. Good read and kept my attention.j

Oddly interesting
The holiday stories this year have all been oddly interesting. The authors writing style is very informal; few times, I had to read a passage a few times. The characters' names were corny but cute. I did not care for the label dumping by Luxe; he was the rudest ever. And calling women females dogs is so disrespectful. Why must we use this type of thing in novels? NFM...
The holiday stories this year have all been oddly interesting. The authors writing style is very informal; few times, I had to read a passage a few times. The characters' names were corny but cute. I did not care for the label dumping by Luxe; he was the rudest ever. And calling women females dogs is so disrespectful. Why must we use this type of thing in novels? NFM...

Omg the character names were so corny but also the cutest lol. This was such a sweet read, I’ve never read this authors work but she did her thing I’m highly impressed. How ironic Pure ends up in Winter Crest after all and the magic of Christmas and Luxe came showering down on her, I loved that for her. Sleigh is a real one she definitely looked out for her girl and I loved her and Flake’s lil fake that’s the homie relationship.

Pure and Luxe
I liked this story for real!! I can never get tired of bosses who male boss moves. I loved Pure because baby is head strong and not about to take handouts but everyone needs a Sleigh in their lives but also a Flake too. The way he just came out and let her know he not sharing or playing about her just made me love him all the more. Now Luxe really got me. I am surprised he wanted that month but I knew he wouldn't just let go.

Beautiful short story
I have a love/hate relationship with short stories. I love them because they are short n sweet, and straight to the point. The bad part is they always leave me wanting more. I need more of Pure and Luxe as well as Sleigh and Flake. They were all sooo cute. Pole was dead ass wrong for what she did but in the end she gave her a beautiful baby and led her to the love of her life.

Omggggggg this book was so fucking good my girl had her own Christmas Angel and didn't even know it I wondered did the sister know speaking of her she was a lowdown hoe and fuck waldo I'm super glad she banned into luxe but I knew he was gone fall for her lol yasssss and the damn flake wasn't nothing to play with yasssss sleigh let him know he went from bestie to her man bust he had to get her ass together babyyyy lol puree was a mess lol

Sooo good you’ll read it twice!
This one definitely put me in the holiday spirit! I loved Flake the most and Pure deserved everything that came to her, I’m a firm believer in blessings after the storm. A friend like Sleigh is hard to find in this time so I loved the way she loved Pure 🥰

This was a really beautiful Christmas story. I would love to hear more about Pure and Luxe and even Sleigh and Flake. Flake is so smoothe and Luxe is so roughneck .
