I would recognize my stepdaughter anywhere, even blindfolded and on her knees, ready to do whatever I ask of her. It’s been a year since I saw her last, and she’s just as perfect as she was back then. She has no idea who I am, or the sick, twisted things I want to do to her. I could tell her it's me… Or I can let her find out the hard way…
This is a short, spicy, age gap romance that can be devoured in one sitting.
The H so creepy, he fantasies about his underage step-daughter who he raised since 5 YEARS OLD. He trying to be a good guy by justifying that he never touch her while being her DOTING FATHER FIGURE. No romantic at all also no build up for their chemistry. Too rushed and just fucking which not even hot. Her previous book has more plot than this, so I feel disappointed.

I love taboo but even this was not it. Does he want a medal for not touching her because he’s liked her since she was 5? The pacing was all over the place there was no buildup nothing to look forward to it was all too predictable. Which is a shame because the first book in the series was so good

* Hero(s) - 1/5 (eww. I have no issues with age gap, even the step-daddy thing can be ok, but in this context ... as in he was her father since she was 5, but when she turned 16 he started to have "feelings" but waited to touch her until she was legal... THIS IS NOT OK. * Heroine(s) - 2/5 ( I'm not really sure I believe she was in love (instead of taken advantage of by a much older man, who was supposed to be a father figure for since she can remember, yikes) * Secondary Characters - 2/5
I love the way that Layla knew it was Logan from the moment he spoke, spending weeks together intimately before Logan finally lets his possessiveness of Layla take over. I didn’t love the way he got her into his bed from the bar, but overall, it was a really good quick read!
I'm fine with the age gap and even daddy kink. But when one person has known the other since they were in their single digits (under the age of ten) it makes me uncomfortable.
I don’t know how I feel about this book, I got it recommend to me as a quick read and the romance made me feel a little icky but if it’s what you are into you will definitely love it
The smut was smutting. That’s for sure 👀 I like the vibe of this novella, but it did sound weird when he was like “i waited for you for so long” Sir… she is 18, you met her when she was 5… 🚨🚔🚨🚔
