I read this aloud with J! He loved it. It look him a bit to understand that it was from Doc’s perspective but he caught on. The pictures were just enough to keep him interested and this was the first chapter book we’ve gotten through cover to cover. We sometimes narrated the story with actual toy cars, and he pulled cars out as they came up in the chapters. It was so sweet. Then we watched the movie as we read! It was such a nice experience, especially as a go-to while he was sick this week.
