She has won an NEA grant, the Whiting Writers' Award, and the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize, and she was a National Book Award- and Pulitzer Prize-finalist in fiction for Evidence of Things Unseen.

Babe is Marianne Wiggins' first novel, published in 1975 and has that 70s feel all over it. Nothing like her last book, The Shadow Catcher, Babe is fiction and short, 133 pages. She is a new author for me and so far, so good.
