I really enjoyed this one by Karen Kallmaker. I liked most of the characters; who were generally sympathetic & rounded enough to relate to. Though the bad-guys didn't seem to be fleshed out fully. I thought the threads of the recurring characters lives started off a little muddled, but were soon sorted out, and I ended up looking forward to the switching back & forth between the different lifetimes. And the storyline of magic, intertwining lives, reincarnation etc was very interesting and didn't get too bogged down with the romance. My only real (small) bugbear with this is the ending - which seems a little brief, rushed, and open, ready to set up for the next installment of the trilogy (which I'm definitely going to read!) Overall one definitely worth reading.
A clever and intriguing time-slip novel that moves between present day and medieval times. Frankly, I think it does the story a disservice to market it as a "lesbian novel" because there's a lot more to the story than that.
