I’ve always loved my simple, quiet life in this small mountain town, but that also means the dating pool isn’t huge. A recent break up has awakened me to that stark reality. And now that my last unmarried friend is tying the knot, I’m going to be dateless at her wedding.
When I attend the town’s annual charity dating auction, however, I snag myself the perfect date to ward off intrusive questions about my love life. Local cowboy Huck Tillman is so attentive and accommodating, he almost has me fooled that this is more than a date of convenience.
Huck
One look at Whitney Snow, and it’s love at first sight for me. I don’t know her, and I don’t know why she bid on me. Heck, I barely understand how I got lassoed into this charity auction in the first place. But something like destiny must be at play because I’m ready to find a preacher the second I lay eyes on her. Be her date to her friend’s wedding? That’s child’s play. I’m never leaving her side again, as long as I can help it.
The only thing standing in my way is having to convince Whitney that I’m all in, and that I'm serious about making her mine, forever.
P.S. The Cowboy Auction series is a trio of contemporary cowboy romance stand alone set in the same lovable small town as the Mail-Order Brides of Darling Creek. As always, these adorable pairings bring you all the charm, high heat, and happily ever afters you expect. No cliffhangers, no cheating, but lots of insta-love goodness!
Huck, the male lead, has been a reclusive cowboy for years, not engaging with people outside the ranch he works on. When his wedding planner boss needs his cabin for a weekend, he ends up hijacked into a fundraising bachelor auction.
Whitney, the female lead, is kind and generous and determined to have a plus one at her friend’s wedding, so she bids on Huck.
The attraction is mutual, even if Whitney struggles to understand that. Now Huck just needs to convince her she’s his choice for life.
This novella is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, small town cowboy romance. I enjoyed Whitney’s improving self-confidence with Huck’s gentle support. I enjoyed Huck’s certainty that she was his choice for life as well as appreciating that he encouraged her to stand up for herself. I enjoyed their intimate scenes and giggled at the secondary characters.

This is part of The Cowboy Auction of Darling Creek series each can be read as a standalone with a sexy cowboy and the girl who wins him in an auction. Huck sexy as all get out cowboy roped into participating in an auction although he keeps asking himself how it happened or how he allowed himself to be talked into it and his bosses needed his cabin so forcing him to take a few days off since he hasn’t taken any in years. Whitney intelligent living a simple life of hanging out with just herself most time 😊 but her friends have moved on getting married and attending the annual auction winning a really sexy cowboy. The attraction is instant, it is insane and the magnetic pull between them can’t be ignored but trust is going to be the hurdle for them but will they overcome their trust issues to take the chance on each other and find happiness?.

The second book in Abby Knox's The Cowboy Auction of Darling Creek is a fantastic, steamy and swoon-worthy instalove romance in Winning the Cowboy. With a big wedding looming on the grounds of the ranch where he's been a hand for almost a decade, Nash gets the weekend off and ends up roped into participating in the charity cowboy auction. Whitney is in attendance in place of her boss, and after a breakup via text and not wanting to attend the wedding of her friend alone, she finds herself bidding on Nash to be her date. Nash is instantly smitten Whitney - will he be able to convince her before the weekend is over that he has every intention of winning her heart? An entertaining, sweet and steamy instalove romance.

I just loved Winning the Cowboy: Book 2 of The Cowboy Auction of Darling Creek. Whitney was dumped by her boyfriend by text and her so called best friend is trying to take away her date for her wedding. So after a few drinks she’s bids on a cowboy to be her plus one. Huck was roped into being in the cowboy auction but after being bought by his future wife he’s ok with it. Now he just has to prove to Whitney that this isn’t one date, it’s forever. Such a cute, romantic storyline and lovable characters. I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend this book and the series, I’m looking forward to the next installment.

This is the second book in the Cowboy Auction series, and the hero, Huck, has me swooning!
Huck is a cowboy who is beyond a cinnamon roll hero, he's just so sweet. He and Whitney make the perfect couple. This story has so much heart and drama to go with the sweet romance. I loved it!
This is a standalone in the series. There is a kind of instalove on Huck's part, but they really take the time to talk. There's some explicit language and some adult content. This is an offshoot from the Mail Order Brides of Darling Creek, and I loved seeing some characters from that book, but you don't need to read any of the prior stories to follow this one. It's a quick read, but the story has great depth.
This is Huck and Whitney's story and it is very well written with wonderful characters. Huck volunteers for a cowboy auction and is bought by Whitney. After meeting Whitney Huck is ready to marry her immediately but decides not to move that fast. This has two people who have an instant attraction and connection and realize they can have it all if they trust each other. Wonderful storytelling and a great read.

I loved this one! These two were adorable together, especially Huck. This series has been so good so far and I'm hoping we get to see more. Whitney is coming off a relationship that just didn't work. Dumped in the worst way, she takes a chance on bidding on Huck. For Huck, he is just lonely. A very good man working at a local ranch, he gets a weekend off but it talked into this auction. I just loved their connection and banter, the whole read was entertaining and sweet.

Whitney loves living in the small town but there are not many eligible men. This was brought home with her most recent breakup and with her last unmarried friend tying the knot. She is will have show up without a plus one. Things might be looking up when she wins a cowboy at the yearly dating auction.
Huck takes on look at the woman who bought him and it is love a first sight. Can her convince her that he is all in?.

This is the second book in The Cowboy Auction of Darling Creek. It is about Whitney and Huck and how their relationship evolves. Whitney's last unmarried friend is getting married and she is without a date. When she attends the town’s annual charity dating auction, she bids and wins a date with Huck. Huck fell instantly in love with her. Now he just has to convince her. The story has a great plot and wonderful characters. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I enjoyed Whitney and Huck's story. Together they are sweet, caring and are what each other need. Whitney's friend the bride, does make you want to take a step back and ask why she put up with her, but I love the strength Huck give Whitney.
This was a fun story from the start to the end. With characters that make you think and others that will have you melting in your seat.

Another home run for Abby Knox!! I absolutely LOVE Darling Creek... can someone recommend a realtor, please?!!?! Anyway, Huck and Whitney are perfect for each other. A fast-paced love story with a happily ever after that will leave you wanting more! I can't wait for the next one in the series.
What started at pretend soon evolves as Whitney and Huck spend the weekend together on their date and get to know each other. And believe me that Huck truly knows how to make you feel better. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a really sweet book with lots of steam too! I really enjoyed Whitney and Huck together. Huck falls for Whitney fast but it takes Whitney a little bit to believe him but Huck won't let his woman get away. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

As always Abby does not disappoint with her wonderful stories. I loved this one. Huck works a lot and his bosses decide to give him a weekend off, unexpectedly he participated in a Cowboys auction, that's where sweet Whitney bids for him and wins. This is how their love story begins, they end up together and happy.
A cute read of being in the place at the right time for both Whitney and Huck. Loved the simplicity of these characters as all they wanted was someone to love them for themselves. Liked the down to earth main characters and how much Whitney grows in self confidence, with the support and love of a sensitive cowboy.

This one was a little slow to start, but the sweetness more than made up for it. I did think too much time was spent on the wedding of other people that I would have strangled, but I did understand why those parts were on there.
Huck is an absolute doll! He is just dreamy, especially as he becomes deeply smitten with Whitney. Their chemistry is off the charts, truly a match made in heaven. Cannot love this author more, she is delightfully entertaining! I hope we get more romance in Darling Creek!
This was a good book with a great storyline. We got to read about pushy and ungrateful brides, break ups, and hot steamy chemistry. I recommend this book.
I absolutely adore this series. These two were just super cute relationship goals. And his name is Huck, full name Huckleberry…how cute is that? And he was just as cute as his name. He works for Maisy and Lincoln, and apparently has not taken any days off in years. So Maisy needs his cabin to appease a bridezilla, and insist he take days off and hang out in town. Obviously he’s in town for a hot second before he falls on the radar for the cowboy auction. He was just too cute, which I’m sure was why she bid on him. Just adorably all cowboy. She also wanted him to be her plus one at the bridezillas wedding. He knows she is the one instantly, and offers to start their date right then. Seriously I just loved this book, and like I said the whole series. Just safe reads with all the feel good happy HEA’s….I couldn’t ask for more.
